We signed up with Trust My Pet Sitter…

We signed up with Trust My Pet Sitter in April 2024, hoping to find a reliable house-sitting platform. Unfortunately, more than a year later, we still haven’t received a single genuine match. Our experience has been deeply frustrating and disappointing.

After nearly a year without any relevant house sit opportunities, we reached out to request a refund. Instead of responding directly, the platform suddenly sent us a vague and questionable sit suggestion — no town, no pet or host information, just vague dates and a country. It felt more like a generic placeholder than a real opportunity, and we were left wondering if the sit even existed. When we declined, we again asked to leave the platform.

Communication has been consistently slow and unprofessional. Emails often go unanswered for weeks, and changes — like assigning us a new account manager — were made without any notice or introduction. We’ve repeatedly stated we are based in Europe starting October 2024, yet months later we received a second suggestion in the US, showing that their "matching" process seems random at best. In fact, another sitter we know received the exact same sit proposal.

After these experiences, we again requested that our profile and photo be removed from their website — a simple ask that has also been ignored. As house sitters with over 80 five-star reviews on other platforms, we’ve never dealt with this level of disorganization or lack of service.

The website looks polished, and homeowners are promised a lot, but sitters are left waiting with no transparency, no real matches, and no support. In our opinion, Trust My Pet Sitter is not a platform we can recommend. We suggest others look elsewhere.
