The experience was amazing. I have done things on this tour that I never thought I would do, and make friends for life !
I’m more than happy with my experience and my amazing tour guide Ovinda. She was attentive and helpful. She became more than a tour guide, she became a friend. She truly is one of a kind, and if any future people have her as their tour guide they should count themselves lucky :)

I enjoyed every minute of my 13 days Vietnam explorer trip. I’d reccommend to anyone at any age, this trip was ideal for me as someone who hadn’t travelled solo before…I didn’t have to lift a finger the entire holiday (all thanks to our tour guide Leo) everything was so well organised, all I had to do was show up at HoChiMinh airport. Leo was excellent, the entire trip he checked in amongst the group, kept us all safe and informed us about his beautiful country, I learnt alot from him and really enjoyed his walking tours and company, he is great fun and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to help us navigate our adventure!! I feel like I’ve done more travelling in two weeks then some people do over the course of 3 months, but with enough free time in-between which was appreciated. I’ve got memories with wonderful friends I’ve made to last a lifetime. Thank you Leo for being AMAZING and thank you TruTravels!! I’ll be back to explore in no time!! 🫶🏽🤩🌎

I have just finished my India Uncovered tour with TruTravels. A huge part of my positive experience was down to my incredible guide Surya!

Surya was extremely attentive, knowledgeable and fun (yet still professional). You can tell the passion he has for his job (or in his words “it’s not my job, it’s my way of life”).
Surya has such much pride for his country and an abundance of knowledge, any question you may have he will have an answer for you!
He did just tour me around India, he made me fall in love with the country and gave me a huge amount of knowledge to bring away with me!

Surya made me feel extremely safe throughout all of my travels and nothing was ever too much to ask.

I have had the most unreal 2 weeks on the India trip. Our tour guide suri is an amazing human. Made us feel safe, comfortable and ensured we all had a fun time. He is so authentically himself yet so professional. Extremely knowledgeable and has some brilliant stories. It is clear that he has a real passion in his role. I will remember this trip forever. Everyday was a surprise at the beauty of India.

Surya was such an amazing tour guide, he exceeded all of my expectations and provided us with the most unforgettable and special trip. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about Indian culture and history and was also so chill, funny and kind the entire time and is such a lovely person. He helped us feel safe and comfortable and supported. The itinerary was so amazing and the accommodations were out of this world. Would recommend to anyone!

I had an amazing time on my Legend of Japan tour. The itinerary was packed with activities and site seeing that I otherwise wouldn’t have thought to do. Our tour guide Morgan was great fun and very knowledgeable and passionate about Japan. My group was small which meant we grew very close, which made the trip even more special.

I just completed the 11 day Philippines West Backpacker tour. This was my second Tru Travels tour and again, didn’t let me down. My guide Alvin was AMAZING. The group was only small, but we all just had the best time together. The places we visited were breathtaking, all accommodation was great some of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Vibes were at an all time high. If you want the perfect balance of fun / relaxation in the most stunning locations. Book this tour!

I did the 11 day backpacker tour in the Philippines and Alvin was my tour guide. I had such a lovely experience, saw so many incredible places. Alvin was the best, and you are very lucky if you get him as your tour guide!!!

Had a great experience with trutravels. Exceeded my expectations honestly. The group it self was very welcoming, tour guide was super knowledgeable and helpful during the onboarding process and departure. Loved to experience everything planned with ease just followed along. Transport, activities, accommodation and selected restaurants all chosen for. No decision making necessary. Would highly recommend to family, friends and outsiders to give trutravels ago!

My tour guide Leo was incredible at keeping us all entertained, safe, informed and looked after throughout the duration of our Vietnam trip. He was so kind and helpful making sure to inform us of daily itinerary’s and recommendations each day. He was an active participant in everything we did and it helped us really bond as a group! Highly recommend!

I have done 3 tours with TruTravels now and I have been consistently impressed with the tour leaders and the activities offered on the tours. The value for money is fantastic and there’s always so many amazing things on the itinerary. A real stand out for me was my Sri Lanka trip with the wonderful Mahen as my leader - he is a truly exceptional tour leader with so much passion for his country and the warmest, kindest personality. Nothing was too much trouble and any hiccups were handled with a smile and a can-do attitude. We all felt so safe and looked after and he truly went above and beyond, using his local knowledge to really add to the experience and show us so many amazing things about Sri Lanka. Our bus drivers were also wonderful - so smiley and welcoming and nothing was ever too much of an ask for them! Overall I would highly recommend TruTravels, I have just booked my fourth tour with them and I know I will have an amazing time!

My tour guide Linh made my spirit of Japan trip stress free which was my biggest concern as this was my first time traveling out of my country. She took care of guiding my group seamlessly through all of Japans public transportation. I really appreciated her friendliness, positive attitude, and knowledge of the places we visited and her eagerness to share that information. She even held a meeting with all of us at the beginning of our trip to teach us about the local etiquette and I felt like I knew exactly what to do at all times and that was important to me because I did not want to disrespect the people or culture during my visit. With all my worries out of the way I was able to fully immerse myself in the experiences and I am so grateful to have been lucky to have her as my guide.

Overall, my experience was amazing! I went on a tour of Japan with a group of 16 people. Itinerary was packed with lots to do, spent a lot of time walking and using public transit. This was an experience of itself, but I will say that trying to stay in a group that large with only one tour guide was more difficult, especially in busier locations. This trip was my first out of the county vacation and having everything organized and a person to help translate (especially for transportation) eliminated a lot of headache and stress. However, if I were to do another tour of Japan I would feel more comfortable in a smaller group or plan an itinerary on my own time. Our tour guide Linh Le was amazing and would definitely love her as a tour guide again.

This is probably the coolest, best experience of my life. Our tour guide lin was amazing and patient even with a group of 16. The only negative I have to say is how big the group was. It’s hard to keep track of so many people in such a busy area so I recommend smaller groups. Navigation with the trains with a little confusing but Lin helped us figure things out. Overall such a life changing experience

Smile was a great tour guide on the Thailand island tour! Would always go out his way to help with everything!

Smile was an amazing guide! He was kind on messages before we even met up and happy to help everyone before they got there. He is a friendly person and made us all feel happy and comfortable. Very approachable if we had any issues. Helped anyone with medical issues instantly with cleaning wounds / sprains / stomach problems. He was always on time and informed us of the next couple of days plans so we knew what was going on. Always put in a message too to refer back to. Explained things well that we needed to know. Gave recommendations for us in our free time. Organised taxis and tables to eat whenever we needed. He was more like our friend than a guide and was always happy and joined in with us and made us laugh, but remained professional at all times. Smile is an excellent tour guide and I will be forever grateful for making this trip so enjoyable and making us feel safe the whole time. Thank you Smile :)

Smile is very kind, caring, approachable, funny, generous & helpful guide. He always was there when we needed him and also treated us a couple of times to ice cream & waterproof phone cases for Songkran. His kindness did not go unnoticed and I am grateful for having him as our guide.

The experiences on the trip were great! I enjoyed every moment of the trip just prepare for frequent travel between destinations but worth it when you arrive!!! Good to start at Bangkok and see the city however maybe one less night here as an island tour and head south on the 2nd night to add another night on at an island. Really enjoyed Khao Sok floating bungalows too a fun experience and our local guide there Eddie was so lovely too. Beaches were beautiful too when island hopping. We got to experience Songkran which was fun!! Loved the boat trips and lots of snorkelling and seen baby sharks & turtle. I even got to try scuba diving on the free day in Koh Tao something I did not expect to do! Bar crawl was fun and to be honest I loved every moment and wish we could have a little longer in some places so it did not feel we were moving too quick. Due to many boat trips there is not always much time to enjoy the beach to relax. So little extra time would be good. Overall an unforgettable experience!!

I feel my experience was great in terms of TruTravels. I think most people could probably plan this route themselves however this is my first time travelling solo so I wanted to not have the stress of planning all my activities. Our tour guide, Smile, was amazing. The only thing that could have made it better was the other people who signed up for the tour. I found some of them to be not very nice. It might also be a consideration to have maximum cap on the tours. My tour had 18 people and it just felt so big, i think a smaller group could have mafe a world of a difference in terms of people we are travelling with in the group.
