We have just returned from a TUI nile…

We have just returned from a TUI nile cruise ( yesterday) .
Just a few tips to watch out for, we were told by tui that the cost of a visa was 30 u s dollars each
,when we entered customs for our visas we were told to pay when we got on the coach ? We were then told the cost was 40 dollars each which we had no other option but to pay.
If you do the museum/Pyramids trip just be careful all experiences come at a cost camel rides or the horse & trap the driver will then offer to take your photo ,he will expect paying by refusing to give you back your phone.
The ship bahaya we sailed on was excellent, the crew very friendly ,food pretty good but not a lot of choice, entertainment officer Noel & James were brilliant probably the bedt bit of the cruise, Also if you can book a cabin at the front of the boat as at the back where the engine is it can be very noisy as we found out
But overall a great experience .

YOU CAN FIND THIS CHEAPER

I was told when booking the excursion that it was okay for me and my partner to get a visa on arrival to Cairo. When picked up by the driver and his escort who took our details we explain we needed to get a visa. He arranged for a Male to meet us at the van who said that we needed to pay him 62USD for me and my partner. As we thought the visa was 50USD and to be paid on arrival (told by TUI staff when booking) this was all we had and we wasn't aware of the conversion rates so we asked if ten English pounds would be right. He asked for 12
English Pounds which we gave him.
When arriving back to Sharm El Sheikh he was waiting with the driver and his escort and said that we owe him ten English pounds because he put this out of his own money towards the visa but at the time of paying for the visa he said this is 32USD each but in total, now working out the conversion rates we gave him 65.24 USD
between me and my partner.
Following from this the man who had all of our details and PRIVATE information has told this man where we are staying and our room number.

When writing a complaint to TUI they explained that 50USD should be paid or 50 English pounds. Which is not stated on any government website. They then responded after further messages
“I’m afraid I don’t understand the issue anymore”

For further excursions I would recommend doing the same activity but from a different and much cheaper company who takes responsibility instead of passing the book as the actual activity is amazing but I will not be putting my trust in TUI again especially from passed issues. I chose this company for the safety and security but this is something TUI has proved they aren’t capable of doing.

We booked a cruise on Viator (second…

We booked a cruise on Viator (second time, 2 different providers, including TUI EGYPT). We pushed to confirm our bookings, they first say yes and then we double check and they say prices are not correct and we have to pay more.
We leave in 1 week for Egypt and have a gap in our trip due to the cruise issue. We are trying to fix it, then I will change my comment here, otherwise we will go press charges against this company + Viator.

Flew out from Hurghada to Cairo

Flew out from Hurghada to Cairo. The flight was good, took the coach to the Cairo museum. We were immediately told the price of water. The tour was ok, very crowded, got separated and the guide kept calling 'I'm here' through the earpiece but we couldn't see her, again and again, 'I'm over here', other guides had a pole with a flag on.
Back on the bus to go for dinner. Guide pushing sales of water and pop and she said we have a free hour, really pushing a boat ride, some people didn't have the money for it so she said we will take you to an ATM.
Those without money would have to stay on the bus for an hour without water. Finally got to dinner and again had to pay for water. Absolutely furious, I had a 10-year-old with me so had to buy water.
Just before getting to the pyramids, we were asked who wanted to ride on a camel, horse, or ride in a cart pulled by horses. People said yes then told that's £15 pounds each, again people hadn't money.
Most on the trip said there was no mention of all the add ons but it never stopped; after the pyramids were the papyrus shop then the perfume and cartouche shops. I assume commission is paid on these extras but really should be made clear in advance so people can make their own decision.

Very Amazing trip

very nice, interesting tour that I would book again anytime.  Mohamed has communicated all information very understandable and I felt very well looked after!  The transfer to Luxor is long (as our driver was a professional racer in a past life, it did not get boring :-)))
