TuneIn used to very good with no ads. Now it has excessive ads and has buffering problems. I have cancelled and have no intention to return. It was how I listened to AM talk radio in my Tesla but it basically no longer works. The idea of upgrading to pay even more to go ad-free is laughable.

Layers and layers of adds before your station comes on. I do not recommend.

Worst radio app ever! It disconnectes out of the nowhere! Dont get this app!

I used to enjoy Tunein and was willing to live with a moderate amount of adds, but lately it's been pervasive. I'm forced to listen to long ad segments when I open the app, when I change radio stations and what's most annoying, in the middle of the programs--more and more frequently. I had it. I'm uninstalling the App. Goodbye Tunein.

The reason I gave it 3 stars is I found Christmas Holiday Classical. Amazing Classical Christmas music.

judging on how many people have had their credit cards scammed, I'm not paying for it.

But I'm getting great ideas for classical holiday music.

Their rock stations (IMHO) stink.

TuneIn became a political weapon that spreads hateful advertising. I was shocked to hear their recent “adds” so I’m deleting and not using this app again and will advise same to others. There should have known that this isn’t gonna benefit their business. Bad management!

Fifteen years ago, tunein.com was the greatest streaming radio app, but now it requires 5 minutes of listening to loud commercials before you're able to hear any broadcast---and even longer when their ads mindlessly repeat end to end. If you stop listening in order to do something else, this 5-minute cycle starts again. Who has that kind of time to waste?

Now I eliminate the tunein.com middle-man and listen instantly to live streams from channels online.

TuneIn is sold as the internet radio service with a lot of streamers. In the UK, following a court case brought by Sony and Warners, TuneIn was forced to block many (well, all the ones worth listening to!) foreign stations....and BBC have withdrawn theirs too, making this 'service' totally useless!!!

AVOID BUYING ANY STREAMER/SMART SPEAKER THAT HAS TUNEIN FOR INTERNET RADIO!!!

God awful app on windows and on smartphone. Started out great then corporate greed got a hold and introduced bloated and extremely irritating non stop advertising, crappy software and god only knows what else they did to downgrade the service. Total garbage now! always crashing and always has an issue. Don't bother using this service if you have high blood pressure.

Disaster. Loud and long advertisement first and again. Then instead "mood music" cheerful country music, instead of "nature whales", rock music.

Misleading and greedy. The app offers a free 7 day trial, cancel at anytime before the end of the 7 day period. However, this company grabs your subscription fee and then tells you that pay to the end of the next billing cycle. i.e there is no free trial period. We are keeping your £7.99, thanks very much. Disgraceful and underhand. Avoid!

Not only do they bombard you with ads, but also control what you can listen to and what not, based solely on their own internal feelings. E.g. radio stations in Europe are widely geo-blocked in North America with Tunein - other apps have zero restrictions and when I asked a few radio stations in Germany about their streaming regulations, they all told me that there are none.

Reaching out to Tunein did not even get me a response.

So, a company that wants to decide what I can listen to, can royally f.. itself.

I do not recommend this company!

If anything drove me away from any product it would be the torture of hearing their adds on the Tunein app.
Talk about controlling the air waves forcing you to submit to lack of talent repetitive obnoxious commercials in order to get the news stations you want to hear is like having your appendix removed by a chainsaw.
Tesla could and should do better.

This is an ad app, just stream ads very well no interruptions or crashes ( by the way thanks to tune in I know what ads I will not sponsor) but after the ads the app crashes but if you touch any button ads start all over again. I believe that tune in is an advertisement company using using this media to deceive people… they have tons of radio, music, podcasts but most of them won’t work! Totally useless!!!

I'm talking about the Company Details near the top of the Reviews page for TuneIn. The address is reported as "Townsend Street 139, 94107, San Francisco, Canada". I don't think that address exists.
The address that shows below a search is:
139 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. It doesn't appear to be anyone's address. CA stands for California in the States. The confusion may occur because CA in Canada stands for Canada in a postal code.

I have only had TuneIn for a couple weeks, I wanted to get Tadio 6 BBC. Then I realized that TuneIn also has unreliable, dangerous, even fake news stations like Fox News which contributes to spreading inaccurate, if not completely untrue issues about many countries, especially the United States. It is not supportive of peoples rights, equality and the basic truth.

I will be canceling my membership to TuneIn immediately. Until they can be ethically accountable for the news they spread instead of just focused on what kind of MONEY they can make from the most stations possible than I don’t want to do business with them.

It's absolutely dreadful!! I was using to catch up with the archers, but it only goes back so far, every 30 seconds or so there's a noise/sound that keeps sounding over the top of what I'm listening to and the app is just awful!! I think I'll use YouTube instead. TuneIn is a waste of time!!!

My workplace torture us with this service all day long for weeks. Is the most lame radio station that i heard on my life. It has the same commercials that they repeat over and over without shame. The station that my employer picked is the R&B, they play a song after 3k commercials (the same 4 over an over). I wish that this company stops this incompetent service.
