Turbo Scribe sells the service, but it is so difficult to find even a complaint number or email address. After much struggle, I found their complaint number. I sent several emails, but they did not reply. I am a paid customer. Is it not strange? They are running it as a passive income stream. I regret paying for a year's subscription to this service. Works great, but why not customer service? Do you expect to keep customers this way?

I have had questions. Never an answer. I am a paid customer. Hard to see myself renewing. Certainly I will take a hard look at your competitors unless service finally comes alive.

I paid US$20 (ZAR370) for a monthly subscription for this service because I had almost 9 hours of audio to transcribe (and proofread) on an urgent basis. What a load of nonsense Turboscribe generated! The majority of my transcript Had Every Word In Caps And Although I Know How To Fix It, it was extremely frustrating to waste time on this.

Then. it. gave. me punctuation. marks in the most. ridiculous places in my sentences. and I . had to waste precious time. to fix this. This is EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY FOR A PAID SERVICE!

for me an additional gpt like chatgpt is necessary to make this worthwhile, but in combination, it trumps any other transcription service. thank you!

I have subscribed and then after testing it I contacted the customer care, after just one day. They have never replied to me. I wanted to cancel my annual subscription wince I uploaded just one file and I wasn't happy with the result. They have never replied to my email, on the website there is no button to undo this action. I have even contacted the founder on Linkedin he has never replied to me.

Horrendously intrusive unskippable ads on youtube. Stop that.

Tried a few transcription services and all of them requested subscription to download the texts. This on offered 3 free transcription, transcribed really well, and was very convenient. Very satisfied.

Crazy transcript, have been looking so long for something that would be able to make full subtitles + transcript to another language. Normally it would take me hours, but this just made everything with 2 clicks.

It is hit and miss. Yes, it works well sometimes, and other times it's absolutely frightful. I am doing a transcript at the moment that I would have been quicker to type. It doesn't seperate the speakers well at all and you can tell they're completely different male and female talking, but it pops it in the same speaker and mixes it up. The words it's replaced the actual words spoken with are hilarious. You really need to thoroughly check these as they're never accurate. I'd say most times 70% accuracy and sometimes, if clear english speakers 80% accuracy. I have used this for nearly a year now and look, I will still continue to use, but if I can find something with a little more accuracy than this, I will most definitely jump.

After paying the subscription the service was not working at all (the uploading button was inactive and I also could not see the previously transcribed files). I reached out to the help service and I got no reply at all (even still until now after two weeks). What bothered me the most was that the recharged my account with the new monthly subscription fees even though their service was and is still not working and they do not respond to my emails!!!!! If this is not scam I do not know what is.

I used Turboscribe to transcribe a Thai video file. It did a good job at the basic transcribing but when the subtitles were generated it was splitting words up, so you were getting the orphaned endings and beginnings of words on each line.
This made it really difficult to read the Thai script.
I emailed Turboscribe support twice and did not get a reply - so their customer service is pretty bad in my experience. Hence the 2 stars.
I have since discoverd Sonix which does a much better job at transcribing and they actually bother to reply to customer emails.

I was expecting that the actual transcript & hopefully the audio as well would be at least 40 to 50% improved from the original. However, when I started reading the PDF of the transcript it was completely out of left field. I knew what the majority of the dialogue was, it was just distorted. This app got the majority of it wrong. And it wasn't even in another language. It was in English. As far as the audio went, it was just as bad if not worse than the original. They supposedly give you three free transcriptions. I'm canceling now. It's not worth my time or my effort. I don't want these people getting anymore of my information. I have no idea who are giving positive reviews. Maybe the items that they submitted only had minute problems compared to mine. Still I'd never recommend this company to fix anything. This was just for my personal use but especially if it was for business. They would have wasted their money and really ended up with nothing but trouble. It's too bad. I wanted it to work out & I hope turbo scribe figures out how to make their program 100 times more effective. I do wish them success. I'm just not going to wait around till that happens. I found TurboScribe from a recommendation on Reddit and ngl I totally went to town. I’m a bit of a digital hoarder. It’s a super high quality service (VERY accurate). Currently using it to build an archive of a bunch of audio/video lectures, plus stuff on YouTube so I can search through it.

There’s a guide on the website for how to transcribe a ton of stuff that was helpful. If you’re transcribing A LOT, it’s best to upload larger amounts until the system says “try later” and then come back after a few days and do that again. The FAQs said that you can always transcribe 720 hrs per month no problem and anything extra is based on capacity. That’s been true in my experience and I’ve even exceeded that in several months. I think its able to transcribe more if you feed it larger numbers of files at the same time and support confirmed that’s the case as well. I was initially afraid I was abusing the system or something because of how much I was using it, but I messaged the founder on reddit and he said it was all good.

Overall it’s a GREAT deal and i would absolutely recommend it. The accuracy is great, the speed is great, super solid overall. The ChatGPT integration is also good. I often use it to get translations and summaries. The only feature I wish it had was the ability to create subfolders (folders inside of other folders) for better organization

This used to be an excellent service - it no longer is. The "unlimited" plan restricts you to a limited number of files that you can only transcribe a non-specified "every few days". Useless.

I manage a call center and we started using TurboScribe a few months ago as part of our quality assurance process. We were looking for something that was accurate enough to handle the varying audio quality and accents (from both our reps as well as the customers).

We run every call recording through TurboScribe and we're transcribing about 100 hours of calls every week (we have 5-10 reps answering the phones most weeks). I usually upload all the files at the end of the week on Friday. It takes about 15 minutes to get them uploaded and then the team looks through the transcripts on Monday.

We then export the transcripts into Excel and look for key themes, but sometimes we use the search feature to track down specific calls.

Overall, TurboScribe has been an extremely valuable addition to our company. It's reliable, fast, and does a great job. The ability to listen back to the recording with the transcript is very helpful as well.

The "unlimited" paid offer is not truly unlimited and comes with numerous restrictions. I had a large batch of files to process before a deadline, but the "unlimited offer" began blocking uploads with an error message: "Please wait." After a few days of use, the system only allowed a very limited number of documents to be processed, with an 8-hour interval between uploads. As a result, I couldn't complete my files on time. Customer service never responded.

Transcriptions were highly accurate in languages I tried - English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, but not able to do multilingual transcripts. The big weakness is poor speaker recognition. Different speakers were mixed up even if the voices were quite different.

I started using TurboScribe a few months ago to transcribe my old sermons as well as some other teachings and reference material.

I am writing a book and so I have DECADES of material to transcribe. I have made my way through about 2000 hours so far. This is a big project and TurboScribe has already proved itself to be an indispensable tool for me. I particularly love being able to search through all the transcripts for specific words and topics.

I have tried other transcription services to do this, but I could not get very much material transcribed because it was very expensive and their lack of familiarity with the material really showed. But TurboScribe is a WORKHORSE! It handles anything I throw at it! Not only is it less expensive, but it is also more accurate especially on the highest accuracy setting. I used to be a bit wary of AI but TurboScribe is very good and I do not think I will need any human transcription services anymore because of this.

The export formats are also very convenient. Whenever I had a question, I always got a response within a couple days. Very helpful and friendly. I recently started using ChatGPT and Leif gave me some great tips.

I subscribed to TurboScribe only 5 days ago and I have transcribed innumerable hours of work which had been pending for years. For English language, it's extremely accurate (I will go over the transcriptions though to get them a 100 % accuracy.) But all in all, it's a fantastic program. Kudos to Leif!!!! And the team.

I just purchased premium for this thing yesterday. It says unlimited. I am paying for unlimited. This webapp is misleading and lies. I have a bunch of files that ive been trying out to transcribe and selected turboscribe because it was unlimited when other methods seemed to fail. i decided ill subscribe to this, as i need this data transcribed sooner rather than later.

WELL after just about 50 hours of recordings, It bottle necked me. its... "Optimizing for high volume" and it prevents you from uploading files. yesterday i was able to get about 7 GB of recordings transcribed before it told me to try again later. it obviously is trying to prolong my subscription which is a deceptive tactic. i will be reporting this website as far up the chain as i can. I emailed the owner and told them to quit restricting my UNLIMITED access. and have yet to hear back. I have alot more to transcribe before im done. but i need it done this month and dont want to be playing games.

There needs to be no optimizing for high volume. i want the unlimited service i just paid for. ive been digging in through the documents and there is nothing about this deceptive "Optimization" its not optimizing my workload. its making everything more painful. i thought i could knock this stuff out in 3 days as i planned but it is litterally a scam.

Ive been taking screenshots of it doing this stuff to me. my uploads are locked up now. it probably squeezed 50 minutes into it to transcribe but all the other uploads (9total) are locked up. this is intentional aye-hole design.

Beware this is not unlimited.
