I opened my account one day and found that all my important files and transcriptions had been completely erased. I’ve been contacting them nonstop, so let’s wait and see if they reply. I’ll update if they reply.

This is me warning those out there if the other reviews weren't enough.

Unless you want to be exhausted, do not under any circumstances buy this subscription.

I'm a student, and I was using it to catch up with my lectures for an exam. When I wanted to cancel my subscription before my free-trial ended (as one does!) the supposed 'easy' cancellation as the site advertises was nowhere to be found - you had to email them direclty to cancel your subscription: oh wait, oops, you can't. They will not answer you.

And they CONTINUE to charge your card, even when there's no point and bringing it into the negatives, having the audacity to BOMBARD YOU with an email every bloody day but won't answer yours. Make it make sense.

I was charged for 5 weeks without my consent, and literally had to change my card number just so they would stop charging. 100 CAD dollars down the drain (I got it back dw lol).

All this to say, unless you want the trouble, please save yourself from the torment I endured for a month lol. And it probably could have been a lot worse had I not contacted my bank quickly.

The transcriptions themselves, when they actually provide transcriptions, are the best I've seen. But the program they use is in no way ready for public consumption and they seem to be doing nothing to fix the endless problems:

- Omitting sections of text, sometimes just a line, sometimes vast sections. This is the biggest and most prevalent problem. They do not provide a word-by-word transcript, so they've got their AI Bot deciding what's important and often condensing text into something that reads better but is missing key contexts.
- Repeat mode, in which one phrase is repeated hundreds on times on the transcript. Happens too often.
- Complete inability to distinguish voices. Eons worse than Sonix or Otter.
- Nonexistent, or nearly, customer service. You might get a response from Leif if you email him directly, but the response itself will be bullshit suggesting you try this or that -- already tried, already failed -- and then no subsequent responses.

Like I said, the transcriptions themselves are very good (although verbatim would be preferred) when they appear. But this is the most unprofessional transcription service imaginable,

Extremely frustrating it cannot detect users or audio accurately at all. Even when voices are very distinct. Crap software.

I cancelled the subscription but still they charged me 1 more time. I needed to contact them twice until I got a response and they told me, that they can't refund me. Fortunately I paid with Amex and the amazing Amex customer service helped me here. I got refunded and turboscribe got blocked from Amex for payment. It could be, that they will be blacklisted.

No customer support, no response, requesting refund.
I subscribed to TurboScribe and encountered a serious issue with the service.
I contacted their support via email

There is:No live support.No WhatsApp or phone contact. No meaningful way to resolve problems interactively

As a paying customer, this lack of communication is unacceptable.
Since my issue has not been addressed and I have received no support, I am formally requesting a refund.

If TurboScribe values customer trust, they should either:
Respond promptly and resolve the issue, or
Process a refund without delay.
I am sharing this review to inform other users and to encourage the company to improve its customer support practices.

PS:The system reports “missing audio track” even though the file contains audible speech. This makes the service unusable for transcription.

Very disappointing – Misleading “unlimited” offer

I subscribed to TurboScribe’s unlimited plan in good faith, as the service clearly claims to allow unlimited transcription of audio and video files.
In reality, this is simply not true.

My account is now blocked:
– I can no longer upload new files
– I can no longer transcribe anything, despite having paid for an “unlimited” plan
– There is no transparency about the actual limits
– No warning was given

If it’s limited, then it’s not unlimited.
It’s that simple.

What makes it worse is the complete silence from support. I contacted customer service to understand the situation and received no response at all. No follow-up. No accountability.

Conclusion:
Misleading marketing, a service that blocks access without explanation, and non-existent customer support.
A very poor experience. Avoid if you have serious, professional transcription needs.

My TurboScribe Unlimited subscription had ended, which was confirmed by their own email. I did not renew or authorize a new subscription and had not been actively using the service.

Despite this, I was unexpectedly charged $120 for a yearly plan. I immediately canceled the subscription and contacted support, but so far I have not received a response.

I am requesting a refund for an unauthorized renewal. The product itself is fine, but billing transparency and customer support need serious improvement.

No notice of renewal provided- not sure how on earth that is even legal. No response to emails, no communication on request for refund even on same day of renewal. Just terrible. It’s been days now and I’ve gotten nowhere. Absolute scam artists.

This is a scam!! I signed up to check it out and I can't cancel my subscription without cancelling my card. I have emailed numerous times with no response. This is definitely an AI bot or something!! DO NOT SUBSCRIBE.

I needed to get some audio recordings transcribed for legal reasons, they ranged from 9 minutes to 16 minutes.

It is important to note that this was as a FREE user which does not appear to be a cut down version but rather provides full access to all of the features, with just a limit of 3 files per day (reasonable). A paid registration provides translations and 10 hour uploads and translation to 120 languages. So you could use this service for generating movie subtitles. Not just for movies released but for your own in-house training which could help production in different languages. If you combine this with AI voices from other sites you could speed up that multilingual work. I did not see that feature but if I were Transcribe AI I would be adding that offering.

I was able to test out the site without even having to login which was great.

The process started with me uploading a video file from my phone, this was completed very quickly suggesting that Turboscribe.AI has invested in both high quality servers and high quality network infrastructure.

The site showed the progress of the upload in percentage which was helpful. Once the file was uploaded I was able to choose from a number of export options, the site allows me to choose more than one option, e.g. ,TXT, .DOCX and .PDF which it then delivers as an industry standard ZIP file.

What is a really nice touch is that it also offers the option to put timestamps into the text, I had not thought of this but it turned out to be VERY useful.

The site uses cookies which I gather lasts a few days, but if you choose to login then your uploads and transcribed will be saved.

Creating a login does not require any subscription at this stage, I think this approach is very sensible.

I am certainly going to recommend this site to friends and work colleagues.

The recordings I submitted were very clear broadcast quality recordings,I can't speak to how it would cope with an old cassette recording from the 1970's but for my purposes it was superb.

For consumers the free option would be fine for most people, the pricing is $10 a month and it was refreshing to see this was not price gouged in conversion to UK Sterling. If the product was $5 a month or had a lifetime license for individuals at $175 I think I might have bought it. I think that they could also add corporate pricing, I can see potential customers who would want 50 to 10,000 users at appropriate prices. Especially if additional features are added.

I would encourage the company to restrict the export and time stamps to free registered users so they can follow up with offers by email.

It is impossible to reach support. Even I wrote to owner of the company Leif and got answer two days later. No customer service. They never inform you before new subscription date, and never refund. If you ever have a problem, it is impossible to reach anybody.

Ich hatte mehrere Datei zum Transkribieren, welche auch länger als 30 Minuten waren. Dafür habe ich mir für 20USD/Monat für einen Monat das Gesamtpaket gekauft. Direkt beim Kauf stand unter dem "Kaufen"-Button, dass man ein monatliches Abo abschließt, welches sich immer wieder verlängert, wenn man es nicht kündigt. Es steht genau da, hier wird nichts versteckt.
In den Einstellungen konnte ich ganz einfach das Abo zum nächsten Termin (also nach meinem 1 Monat, welchen ich gekauft hatte) kündigen.
Das Transkript ist super, vor allem mit der Speaker-Erkennung und den Zeitstempeln.
Außerdem war dieses Angebot für mich viel günstiger als bei anderen Anbietern, welche nach Länge der Datei abrechnen und alles extra berechnen.

A great site for transcripts.
I had several files to transcribe, some of which were longer than 30 minutes. For that, I bought the full package for $20/month for one month. Right at the time of purchase, it clearly said below the “Buy” button that you are signing up for a monthly subscription, which automatically renews unless you cancel it. It’s stated very clearly — nothing is hidden.
In the settings, I was easily able to cancel the subscription for the next billing period (so after the one month I had paid for).
The transcript quality is excellent, especially with the speaker recognition and timestamps.
Also, this offer was much cheaper for me compared to other providers that charge based on file length and add extra fees for everything.

I used this company once in May of 2025 to transcribe some videos for a volunteer project. Paid my $20 and didn't need it again. Now, in Oct, they are charging me $120, their yearly fee. 3 emails to them have gone unanswered and I've had to start a chargeback. The service was fine, but the customer service is terrible.

I need transcription for my french work, and boy did this help it was quick, accurate and efficient I really appreciate this app. THANK YOU!!!

I've been using for about a year. I'm not sure what has happened in the past 6 months but it's terrible at this point. At times there is not even any punctuation. Doesn't pick up half of what it should which I hear just fine ony end. I'm done using their service.

Tried to upload an audio file, 40 mins later it was stuck at 7% and stayed there!!! Just ridiculous and appalling. Wont use again

The paid service just gives up transcribing after the first 5-10 mins of audio content. Content looks accurate at first, but look carefully and you'll see it just "stops", then restarts much later, then stops again, and so on, leaving the vast bulk of content untranscribed.

Support did not help. Now I see from the 1 star reviews I'm going to have fun unsubscribing.

Do not waste your time or money.

1. It's not unlimited. Once you hit the limit, it's throttled wayyyyyyyyyy down and you have to just wait a few days to upload more. Do you get more credit for waiting 1 month? No. So you just have to log in all the time and hope you can transcribe what you need. It's limited to 720 hours a month.
2. It can't do more than a 10 hour file. Get our your audio editor if you need something longer.
3. Other AI can do the same for less.
4. They hope you don't look at your CC statement, they won't tell you your subscription is coming to a renewal period, they won't tell you your CC has been charged, and they won't send you a receipt.
5. It's using ChatGTP's engine, so you could just get that subscription and get a whole lot more for $10 more a month.
6. The engine screws up and will transcribe half your audio file with literally zero punctuation. You just have to redo it or have another AI fix it.

Agree with the poor/scam service comments. I have tried to cancel - sent an email last time I was billed which was ignored and now have been charged again! Logging into my account tells me I am on the free service. Next step will be to contact my bank to block them,
