Code challenge limitation

I am slightly disappointed since the code challenge is only done with the following languages: PHP, Java, Python, Ruby, C#, JavaScript, C++, Go, and Swift.

Before preparing for the coding challenge, ensure your favorite language is supported.

I passed all the tests that was required of me, including the automated coding test, I never got an interview for over 8 months, the only notification i kept getting was i should update my availability, I even had over 4 years of experience, I'm a senior android engineer.
After completing my profile with all my experiences, no interviews, only for me to find out that my account was reset to the stage of the automated coding challenge, I sent a query about the issue to their support, they said I didn't pass the automated coding challenge 🤕 how?
how was I able to complete my profile with all my experience ?.
I deleted my account immediately after this scenario.

l love the work culture at Turing

Hi, I am Jolomi from Lagos, Nigeria. I work at Turing as a Data Scientist in the
growth team. I focus mainly on analyzing data for decision making and the end goal is to give an
optimal balance between supply and demand. For the 6 months l have been working here, the
culture of the company is what got my attention the most. You take ownership of your work and
mingle with international teams across the globe in the comfort of your own home. Those
seeking for an amazing, unique family Turing is the way to go.

Most reviews you find are paid for

Unfortunately most reviews you find of Turing.com are scam.
They pay people to write the reviews, and I have evidence of this.

They even pay people to downvote/report negative reviews of them. I have plenty of evidence because the people who got paid to report my reviews actually emailed me and told me!

If you wanna know an honest review, just search for it online. Skip the promotional reviews, there are tons of detailed experiences by people who were fleeced.

My advice: if you are desperate, go with them. otherwise, stay away.

Flexibility + Competitive local market salary!

Hi, I’m Camila from Argentina. At Turing, I conduct non-technical interviews for developers to see if they are eligible for being matched at any job opportunity. It has been almost 5 months since I joined Turing. The flexibility, in my case I work per objectives. I can choose when to have the NTE's and if I have finished all my tasks of the day, I can disconnect and enjoy the rest of my day. In my city, public transport is the best option to travel. However, there are always struggles with them as too many people have to use them and the infrastructure is not adequate. One of the biggest differences that Turing has with the local jobs in my country is the competitive salary and in Argentina, only 11% of jobs are completely remote, so it's difficult to find a place that matches both things.

Waste of your precious time

Waste of your precious time, even after passing all the tests, live coding challenges and waiting for more than 2 weeks for an onboarding call not selected. They said you must have 3 years of experience after a college degree. Then why not mention that and made it a requirement that only those people are allowed who graduated 3 years ago

I love the flexible work schedule at Turing!

I came upon Turing when looking at distant positions. I've been a Full Stack Software Developer at Turing for more than 5 months. Working on important Turing product features and bug fixes is what I do. Remote employment, flexible work schedules, leave policies and ensuring that everyone has their own room to thrive are all positive aspects of Turing Company. In the past, when I had an office job, I had to deal with traffic, a rigid work schedule, and a busy daily routine. Get moving! I recommend using a remote! The world is becoming more distant; you ought to attempt!

I'm Neeraj Singhi from India. I have worked as a software developer for Turing for more than 5 months. I adore the freedom Turing allows me to work on my own schedule as long as US time is offset by 4 hours. It's also great that I don't have to travel to work every day. I used to have to travel for at least two hours each day. I adore how Turing has given me the freedom to set my own schedule. Apply for Turing and strengthen your fundamentals

I love being able to spend time with my family now!

I'm Amanda Arboleda, a South American from Ecuador. As part of Turing's quality assurance team, I review the matching system to ensure that new functionality is error-free and usable by users. Since February 10th, 2022, when I started working for Turing, five months have passed. I appreciate having the freedom to plan my time and being able to spend more time with my family now that we are closer. Some of the things I dislike most about office jobs are the excessive traffic and the lack of harmony between work and home. Turing is the ideal choice for me; I adore the working environment, the amazing all-hands meetings, the other places, and the emphasis on people. Take the challenge!! Turing is the best place to work around the world.

I love the super supportive team we have at Turing

Hello, my name is Nigerian Nnochirionye Ezekiel. I've been employed by Turing's Growth Products engineering team for roughly six months. My primary responsibility is to develop game-changing concepts that have a measurable impact on the business. Because of the excellent engineers I get to work with on a daily basis at Turing, I have the flexibility to work from anywhere and I've been able to develop my skills. I've always disliked the heavy traffic and meager compensation at other non-remote jobs near me. I can work from home with Turing, and I also get paid better. Turing is the place to be if you want to drastically improve your skills.

I work from home in peace with Turing

Hey, I’m Shadab from Delhi, India. I've worked at Turing for more than six months as a data scientist (product). The flexibility of remote work and the fact that my coworkers are incredibly sympathetic and supportive are some of the nicest aspects of Turing. They teach me a lot. I've always disliked non-remote work because of the excessive traffic, crowded cities, and increasing pollution. I'm grateful that Turing allows me to work from home. Flexible hours, remote work, and a good work environment.

Measures ability to guess or cheat under time pressure

A university exam usually has 4 hours for 10 questions that require deep understanding to pass. When you pass or fail an exam there, it feels well motivated and you are encouraged to actually study before it.

Turing usually has 1 hour for 50 questions. I can pass tests without any knowledge in the subject by just guessing, because there are only 4 options and half of the wrong answers are just nonsense words standing out at a glance. It's also super easy to just look things up online, because many questions are only about word understanding. If you try to do any exam the right way by actually thinking, the clock ticking every second in your face will quickly remind you that time is running out and you have to guess again. Terrible tests leading to stressful low level coder jobs.
