I almost installed this software but…

I almost installed this software but then stumbled upon weird comments about Tuxler...

"You shall not use the program if you don’t agree on sharing your connection location through your internal protocol address with other tuxler users."

directly from their EULA.

YOU are the VPN node for others!

Tuxler VPN premium low and have very few IP

I bought tuxler premium vpn and found it is totally garbage. I bought premium service to allow me choose location 100 times. I choose United States in launcher and I am connected to Uruguay and Ukraine. And I lost 5 credit for thir stupid launcher. I choose Jacksonville, Florida and I get connected to random US cities some with 100 fraud score, some with naked DNS, but I never get Jacksonville. And support said that you will get the nearest location automatically. And you use your credit to get this random location.

The speed of the premium version is also suck. I cannot even use it to play youtube in 144p resolution smoothly. It need buffering just to load youtube 144p.

It is trash with maybe even below 100 US IP, some IP already have 100 fraud score. Yet they advertise having 1000000 IP with 70000 new IP every month. And the speed of premium version is even worse than from their free service

Extremely slow streaming

Tuxler VPN's streaming speeds were so slow I thought I had a problem with my PC until I read an article on a webpage called Techsmoothy that revealed that this was a common complaint of Tuxler VPN users.
Of course, they promise their premium version is faster but I am not impressed either.
It did help me to access localized content on streaming sites like Netflix but the snail-like streaming speed makes it pointless.

Tuxler will use your IP and share your bandwidth. I got prosecuted for something users have done with my IP

Tuxler is a free VPN that offers residential IP addresses... But if you use the computer version and not the addon, Tuxler will use your IP and bandwidth to offer it to its users.

This way, it doesn't look too bad... Except that malicious users use these IPs for all sorts of mischief on the Internet. In my case, my IP was used for carding and sharing child pornography in July 2020.

I was raided at home, they confiscated all my electronic devices without me knowing why. After a few hours in custody, they explained to me that my IP address was involved in credit card theft and aggravated criminal activity. After 2 months of investigation, they concluded that I had not done anything and that the VPN was involved. So I uninstalled everything.

But it's not over yet, because the day before yesterday, I was visited by the police again, this time for an investigation on child pornography exchange.

All of this generates a lot of stress, so don't install this crap and pay for a VPN, otherwise what happened to me could happen to you.

And again, I don't know what else will happen to me.

I was looking for a residential VPN…

I was looking for a residential VPN that would route all my computers traffic through the selected IP, however, after installing this program I soon found out that it acts only as a proxy, working only on browsers and not other apps.

Looking at this purely from a residential proxy service point of view, the free connections are decent with speeds of around 1mpbs, but I'm sure if you pay for premium speeds should be higher. The ping for me was around 700-1100ms when connecting to locations near me which is really only good for light web browsing and barely loading a youtube video.

Other than that, I believe that this is a cool concept and could benefit from some small improvements to the networks efficiency.
