AVOID

AVOID
This company is to be AVOIDED at all cost.
I used ‘tvaerialcompany.Co.uk’ to simply remove one 55inc tv from my wall and replace with a 65 inch tv. It involved repositioning the wall bracket.

This job by any standard was a two man job. They sent one man.

I expected two men so I was surprised when - without any warning or past experience of lifting a large tv - I was issued with ’right mate grab the other end and help put this on the bracket’
I’m 80 years old!
A couple of days later I noticed a wall bracket securing screw was out by 20mm.
The tv guy reluctantly came back after a couple of days and asked if I’d been wobbling the TV about to cause the problem! What!
Oh no, I don’t recommend this company.

A total rip off

My 86 yo mum got them round to fit a new aerial advertised at £96. Two blokes come over and persuade her to get a dish and a freeview box at £350 saying aerails don't last due to the weather?! 2 weeks later she can't get a signal on her TV. She calls them out and they show her how to press source on her remote for a £79 call out fee. Go to someone local with better customer care.

Don’t use them

Don’t use them. Total rip off. Expensive. Rude. They will hassle you like mad once you’ve called them. We then had a rude technician who just ploughed on without advice or discussion. Wouldn’t use them again or recommend them.

Can’t seem to give zero or minus

Can’t seem to give zero and can’t imagine anyone giving them above 1. Came to my elderly parents house to look at aerial problems. Charged a diagnostic fee of £80, fair enough but £608 to replace parts that would cost £50 and take 30 minutes to do. Maybe £150 charge all in at most would be fair but they have to take advantage. Then called back to say they would do for £400 as engineer in area. Luckily my folks have their sons to keep an eye on cowboys like this. Total disgrace ripping people off and I would never ever recommend. Keep well away from dishonest companies like this even if they appear to have good reviews, god knows how they get them as my family’s experience was very very very poor. Thieves all the way and total disrespect. Don’t know how they sleep at night.

I contacted this Company on Tuesday to arrange a quote to have both TV and Sky Box fitted to the wal their Engineer Darren arrived on time the following day.
He was very professional and polite, he gave fantastic advice and a very fair quote. Darren came first thing Friday and worked cleanly and quickly. Exceptional service and I would recommend this company to anyone.

Thank you Shalto

Responded quickly to my enquiry and came and fitted new LNB and 2 extra feeds the next day.
The engineer was called Shalto and he was very friendly and helpful and got the job done in good time.

Great customer service all round

Having been let down earlier in the day by another company for mounting a TV, I rang TV Aerial Company who fitted me in that night. Arron was great he let me know when he would be there, gave me the options and showed me clearly what the cost would be. He was brilliant such a credit to your company and I’m so pleased with the service from start to finish

Most companies will have good reviews…

Most companies will have good reviews if there is no problems with whatever service your paying for. It's when something goes wrong we see what kind of company they are and this company is worst company on the market. They install an aerial, a couple of weeks go by and it packs up. I called them up and they want to charge me to come and look at it. The aerial is inside the loft no one as been in the loft since it was installed yet they say it's not the aerial or there sevice so need to pay for us to come and look at it. In the end I called in a professional to do the job never had a problem since. If I was you dont use these cowboys they will rip you off and theres no guarantee with their work. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THEM

Great service, fair and transparent prices

We needed our TV fitted to the wall and they made it really simple - good chat feature on the website, nice and swift follow up call, really transparent prices and polite people at every stage.

We requested the work at a time when there was a load of storm damage around the UK and it did mean we had to wait a little longer and reschedule, but the guys I spoke to were polite and apologised which is all you can really ask for. At a time when businesses need to be supported, I was happy to wait and when our engineer did come he was clean, tidy, confident and quick.

Great service for people like me that are terrible at DIY

Cowboy Outfit - Do Not Use

I had problems tuning in my TV for a few weeks and did wonder whether it was the booster, so I rang a local company first, but they could not come out until a week later. I rang Aerial Force and they said that they could come out the next day. Next morning I received a phone call to say that the engineer was 45 mins away. I opened up the loft so that he could get to the booster and he duly turned up. He plugged the aerial into his diagnostic box and then asked to go up in the loft. He duly did and then came down and said it was good news that the aerial itself was okay, but that the booster had gone and he told me it was not a very good booster either. I asked him if he had one and he went out to the van to get it and then said that it would cost me £100. In the end the total cost with diagnostics cost me about £200 with the VAT on top of this. It was a complete rip off. I went up to close the loft and looked at the booster to see which make they had used. It was a Wolsey 4 way booster, so I went on Amazon and found it listed there for £26. I was totally appalled and will never be using this company again. If it needs changing in the future I will do it myself. The engineer was rude into the bargain. Be warned - COMPLETE COWBOYS. Do not use.

I paid £460 to have a brand new aerial…

I paid £460 to have a brand new aerial fitted with 5 outlets for my daughter who had just moved into her forever home with her baby on 18th August 2021. 4 months later when we had the high winds it blew the aerial down. Looking at it the engineer fitted it to the old bracket. I telephoned and was told aerials are not covered for storm damage. I explained the aerial has not failed, it has not been installed correctly, no other aerial in the neighbourhood has blown off. All the lady kept saying was that the aerial is not covered for storm damage. I could understand it if it was 12 months or so old, but it is 4 months old and blown down at the first sign of any winds. They are sending an engineer to assess, but I have been told it is not covered on numerous occasions. If they don't pay for a new aerial and damage to the roof through poor installation, I will be taking them to the small claims court. I will not be letting them fit the new one, as I asked the question, if the new one blows down in the wind what will happen and yes I was told I would have to pay for it to be fitted again. This is giving the engineers a free rain on not installing them correctly, so they can blow down and getting the customer to pay again, disgusting. If they pay for the damaged and new aerial to be fitted I will remove my review, but until then it stays. BAD company to use.

Yay we have channels again

Darren Smith came yesterday to sort out some tv/aerial problems we were having. He was excellent, knowledgeable and informed me along the way. As suspected, we’d had some cowboys replace the aerial and instal additional points 18 months ago, they’d done a real shonky job and the splitter suffered rain damage due to poor positioning. Even I know electricity and water don’t mix ! Darren sorted everything out and made sure all was working well and we were happy before leaving. He also brought some debris off the roof left by said cowboys that could’ve caused injury to us or the property down the line. Thanks Darren for caring.
