Avoid Using Twilio Infrastructure in Any Software Development Process

In September, we started a project using Twilio's infrastructure. However, an email we received on October 17, 2023, informed us that Twilio would no longer be able to send WhatsApp messages to Turkish phone numbers. This significantly impacted our project, and despite Twilio suggesting alternative solutions, it required a complete overhaul of our project's structure.

On December 7, Twilio notified us that they had resolved the issue and that WhatsApp messages could again be sent to Turkish numbers. At this point, having switched to a different infrastructure due to the initial problem, our project faced serious delays and increased costs. As if this wasn't enough, following their December 7 announcement, we returned to our Twilio-based project and completed it. What happened next? We've now realized that Twilio's December 7 communication was incorrect and they actually hadn't resolved the issue.

As of now, our project using Twilio's infrastructure is non-functional. We have faced significant issues due to Twilio's constantly changing policies and inconsistent communication. Moreover, the company has not responded to our current problems. This experience highlights serious shortcomings in Twilio's customer communication and service quality. No software should use this infrastructure.

Very very poor customer service and…

Very very poor customer service and business support.

My account got suspended for not verifying my email which I wasn’t notified about. I then followed all their instructions and did what I was asked and yet these guys won’t verify my account and as a result, I have not been able to register my customers as all of them get stuck at signup and leave. Twillo is just big for nothing. We’re so frustrated because of their negligence. Below is my last message to them.

I must confess your customer service is horrible from my experience. This Twillo account isn’t my personal social media account where I play with, it’s a business account. I made mention of the urgency to which this needed to be resolved but the day is now over without it being rectified and as a result we’ve not been able to register any new user because OTP codes from twillo aren’t responding. A new business like ours trying to win customers and they come to our app for the first time and can’t even register.

What do you guys need to verify the account?? You asked for email verification we did, you asked us to reply via official email, we have done so if there’s anything else you want, can you just go ahead and ask so we provide and stop slowing down our own business pleaseeeee.
