Another provider now having the cheek to charge you each month to use it's services regardless if you use or not. No way paying 6.99 a month for nothing. Exactly the same scenario happened with Tandem all customers left forcing the closure of it's credit cards services. Highly suspect Tymit is pulling out of the Uk retail sector by pulling a stunt like this.
If you Google them seems to putting there hands in other pies instead with likes of Harley-Davidson Financial Services based in USA and (BNPL) with Fraser Group (God forbid).
Certainly is time to close this down if this is what loyalty means to charge like this.

Tymit used to be a great provider, three monthly terms with no interest. They stopped that and now charge interest on all plans. The final straw for me was the new subscription card fee model, £6.99 a month for nothing. Account closed!

Use to love tymit but there slowing declining as now chargeing £6.99 pm fee to have there credit card shame really i have now opted out and closing account

Don't waste your time with this joke of a company poor customer service and suspended my account for no reason never missed a payment and always overpaid..

Non existent customer service. They block your card for months for no reasonable reason or warning, until I keep asking and figure out, and all this after receiving money from you within days of the due date. Absolute bullying and rude customer service people who talk down to you and behave so shockingly incompetent. When they do pick your emergency requests after a week, it is still useless arguments but no results. Such a shady bank. I have never moved on from a credit card product, by closing the balance down, but here I actually am doing it! I don't trust them. What a nightmare. I don't know how they are allowed to operate so unregulated. Use at your own risk and peace of mind.

They should get shut down given the way they operate.
I've been trying to close my account and get written (email) confirmation of closure since the monthly charge communications and they just ignore the request.

Very poor offering with £6.99 a month for what is a very mediocre credit card with no benefits and high APR.

Has been 5* for European purchases with no fee if you payback within the month. Now has a £6.99 a month fee for just having the card if you use it or not. Unless you’re a big spender away all the time in Europe a waste of time. Goodbye Tymit

The credit card experience was vastly different a couple of years back. It was a free credit card (i.e. no monthly subscription) and also allowed to utilise a three month interest free period on purchases. Now the three month interest free period is removed. And they will also introduce (already sent an email notification about it) that they will start charging a monthly fee. This is ridiculous. What's the point of tymit then? They don't offer anything to their customers to continue using it.

Been a Tymit customer for a couple of years or so. I was one of their original customers. It’s been a bit of an uphill struggle with poor customer service, low credit limit and missing features, but I persevered as I could see potential in their offering. They have however increased their interest rate significantly over the last year and are now introducing a monthly fee. This card offers nothing more than I can get elsewhere for free. So I have asked to have my account cancelled. Still waiting for confirmation - but as usual this will take several days to come.
I would avoid Tymit - you can get better credit cards elsewhere for free.

After introducing a monthly fee I messaged to give them feedback about this, and told them I would likely opt out . LIKELY. So they went ahead and cancelled my account within 24 hours of receiving the message, they have ignored my follow up message pointing out their error (it’s been another 24 hours) and helpfully aren’t open over the weekend. My advice, get almost any other credit card! Most don’t charge a monthly fee and cancel your cards because you gave them feedback (grow up Tymit).

I've been a customer for 3 years, pulled in by the 3-month interest free instalment plans. When those got cancelled last summer, I was of course bummed but since it was a no fee card, decided to keep it for some purchases.
But 2 days ago we received an email with the following: 'We're introducing a monthly fee of £6.99 to continue offering the benefits of the Tymit Credit Card.'
Which benefits exactly??? The fact that we can pay in instalments WITH interest? It's just a standard credit card with no benefits, rewards or cashbacks. This is just an awful practice.
I have no other option than to cancel or 'opt-out' as they call it, and this will impact my credit score.
So thank you Tymit for caring so much about your customers...

Yesterday they introduced me £6.99 monthly fee. I think that’s not enough, it should have been £9.99. Having a perfect card like Tymit is an excellent experience. I love the design, I love the app and how it works. After removing free 3 months instalment plan, it has become no different than any other rubbish plastics, but it should definitely charge £9.99 monthly…
Thank you Tymit for your time and effort. Sorry “I lost my card and I don’t want a new one” so “opt-out”. You might be struggling since no company suicide like this without a reason.

Very bad company. Not reliable. They change the plans every when and then. No guarantee. First they stopped 3 months interest free plan which was their highlight when I started the account. Now they suddenly asking for monthly payment and if you are not willing to pay they close the account which is going to effect on credit score. Very bad company . Not giving any option for the existing customers. If you want a credit card go and find some good reliable brand, not a company like this.
In the reply they are not mentioning anything about closing the account if you opt-out. But this is the email I received from them.
"If you decide that this fee no longer makes your account suitable, you can opt-out of this change by closing your account. "

Was such a great concept a few years ago and really helped with flexibility in repayments for unplanned expenses that inevitably come up. But recently removing the ‘free’ 3 month repayment plan and now charging a monthly cost makes it too expensive and kind of pointless to continue using. As a result I’ve ‘opted out’ unfortunately. Shame as I had a decent credit limit and used the card a lot. Good luck Tymit.

I've been a loyal Tymit customer for the past five years, consistently making full payments well ahead of the due date, without ever missing or being late on a payment. Recently, I was taken aback when I received an email informing me that my card had been canceled. Despite reaching out to customer service, I was left with more questions than answers, as no clear explanation was provided for the cancellation. This experience has left me puzzled about the company's practices and customer management.

I have been an account holder for approximately 2.5 years with a credit limit of £2500. I have never used more than 50% of the credit, I have never defaulted on a payment and have always paid off and debt on the card way before any pre-arranged period. I went to go into the Tymit app on 01/03/2024, but it denied me access stating they are not taking on any new customers at this time? I went onto ClearScore to look up the Tymit account to find that my account had been closed in February 2024? I did not ask for the account to be closed, nor did Tymit advise me that they were going to close my account. In fact, I have received no emails or notifications from Tymit other than an email today, 06/03/2024, stating that due to the present economic climate, they are now going to charge me £6.99 monthly. It’s absolutely disgusting that they closed my account in the first place, without any prior warning or reason, and then continue to send me emails about charges. This company is lacking!

Used to be great but they're now introducing monthly fees of £6.99 because it seems like they're not doing well and have to charge their customers instead.

Good app and excellent customer services. I am always assisted on time with pronte solutions, and the credit card mutch my needs and is easy to adjust according with my needs.

I took out a Tymit card after they offered it to me .
It was for a relatively small amount .
I never missed any payments, but they cut the amount I could borrow in half. I complained that the app was always out of order , but heard nothing . They now say my account has been frozen, but I can still pay my balance off over a period of time .I'm closing the account and paying off the balance immediately, but , as usual, the app isn't working nor is the reset button . A very amateurish business for such small amounts of money . It appeared to be a different way of doing credit, but it really isn't different to anyone else in reality
