Bad attitude

Not impressed with the attitude of some of the staff members. One takes great delight in trying to prove you wrong on throwaway comments. Also loudly announced that as we had a courtesy car that as we didn’t replace fuel we would have to pay an exorbitant charge for this heinous crime. I pointed out we did put fuel in and showed her the receipt. Boy was she miffed. And what’s with all these motorhomes and water ingress? We apparently had it as did others in the waiting room. Our motorhome is in excellent condition so we asked if they’d be interested in buying it. The curt response was “no -we have x amount of motorhomes and do not want any more”. Why not just thank us for considering them and say maybe call in a few months time. Anyway, we’ve now had a very good offer from another dealer so thankfully we don’t have to set foot in that place again.

Shocking company to deal with

Shocking company to deal with. The sales and handover was ok but the after sales is poor. We told them a few weeks before what needed repairing, confirmed they had the list but when we arrived they did not have the full list or said that it was impossible to repair it all in one visit. We had not been told this before we arrived. Why we bought two vehicles from them I will never know, they even got the address wrong on the V5C and ended up adding a further owner to the records. I don't think the vehicles were very well mechanically checked prior to sale (used vehicles).

Can't speak highly enough about tyne…

Can't speak highly enough about tyne valley motorhomes. Purchased our motorhome there 2023 and since then nothing has been an issue at all when dealing with Kerry and Megan and all the staff in sales and servicing/warranty work would highly recommend using them as they go the extra mile in every way.

NEVER AGAIN

sales and handover were excellent ,thats where the good bit ends,we got a problem about 3 months later with an oil level sensor on the engine ,fiat wanted £1760 to fit a new one (its a pig of a job) other quotes were £1200 and £1400 .they offered £250 to get the job done (we eventually got £500). next em 40 burnt out could not get anyone to fix it locally (tried spinney but they said they wont touch third party repairs),ended up doing it myself (i was an electrician),now the air bag ecu has failed and they are telling me its not covered under the warranty ,this is provided by AUTO PROTECT and is their gold warranty ,it is excluded on one document and not on another so left with another bill £400+,people buy these warranties for peace of mind yet they are nothing but utter rubbish using all the cop outs under the sun ,my advise ,first, stay away from tyne valley motorhomes and AUTO PROTECT ,second buy locally ,that way if it goes wrong they are not 160 miles away
it should be noted AUTOPROTECT operate under other names as well ,So check out the parent company ,and ALWAYS READ THE SMALL PRINT IN THE WARRANTY .BECAUSE THESE THING CAN BE EXPENSIVE TO FIX IF THEY GO WRONG .
