Shut 3 hours early
Shut 3 hours early! Weren't open at the agreed time of pick up, the time stated on the confirmation email. Their airport shuttle policy is to get a taxi from the airport and they pay for it when you get to their location. Obviously when they're not open they wont pay for it. Got stuck paying a $40 cab fare from the airport to their store, and then to my accom. Tried contacting them the next morning, and they haven't been helpful yet. I've now been waiting over 12 hours for my car, and am stuck at my hotel with no car and I have places to be. I haven't organised a different rental company based on the weak promises from this company that they will resolve the matter. Currently they have verbally told me they will come get me some time in the next couple hours... though I'm yet to see if this will actually happen. Brian from customer service has been good, and tried a few different things to resolve the matter, (offered to come get me, and tried to put me onto a branch closer to my hotel.) Although this has not been satisfactory for two reasons. The Other branch were not interested in helping, they wanted us to wait hours for a car or make us pay for an upgrade. There is no chance I am giving more money to this company. Stephanie the customer service agent at the second branch shouldn't be allowed near customers. Short, rude, full of contempt and lacking empathy. The second reason is that I had plans for this morning which have been ruined.
Out of pocket for a paid in advance rental, Out of pocket for the taxi I was tricked into using. And now a day behind schedule. Don't waste your time and money with a company that makes bookings for times that they are not open, leaving people stuck out in subzero temps.
