🚨 Frustration Alert

🚨 Frustration Alert! 🚨
I’m really disappointed with my Beats by Dre Powerbeats Pro. I bought them just over a year ago and have used them no more than once a week.

Unfortunately, I've faced ongoing issues with connectivity, charging, and battery life. They’ve been sent in for repairs three times, each time with different reasons given.

I’ve spent so much time trying to get these fixed! I was advised to take them to an Apple Store, but my work schedule made that difficult.

Finally, I managed to visit the Apple Store in Lincoln, only to be told they needed to be sent away for repairs.

Initially, they were under warranty when I reported the problems, but now they’ve just come out of warranty.

Today, I received a response stating that they are water damaged—absolutely ridiculous! I always clean them after use, and now I’m being asked to pay £200 for repairs.

I've owned various Beats headphones over the years, but after this experience, I won’t be purchasing them again. I've checked online forums and found that many others have faced similar issues.

Think twice before buying this model! 😡

Expiring earphones :(

Twice purchased Beats X and Beats Flex earphones: the first time after 13 months a malfunction made them unusable and, as they were no longer covered by the manufacturer's warranty (limited to 12 months for online purchases), the request for repair was almost equivalent to the expense of buying a brand new Beats Flex. So I choose to buy the brand new Beats Flex model from a retailer to ensure the 24-month warranty. Also in this case after 13 months the device stops working. Fortunately the warranty coverage allowed me to receive a replacement but I have the fervent fear that in 13 months I will have to buy myself a new pair of bluetooth earphones… certainly not this time from the Beats brand.

Do not buy anything under this brand

Do not buy anything under this brand. Once they become faulty (which they will) the company fob you off with “it’s your fault”. No sign of damage, they look perfect but clearly not workin.
Dreadful customer service, treat you like something on their shoe.

Please steer clear

Please steer clear of these utterly appalling headphones.

I was bought a pair of Powerbeats Pro headphones. They rarely connect to the ridiculously sized box they come in, and when they do more often than not only one charges, so one ear is flat.

After some weeks of nursing these sub standard rip offs when charging them I gave up and bought a £15 pair of wireless headphones off Amazon. The sound quality is the same, they are reliable and don’t come in a ridiculously sized charging box that fails to work. Oh, and they did not cost more than £200.

Steer clear.

I've now had the 3rd replacement BeatsX…

I've now had the 3rd replacement BeatsX headphones break with the same fault with all of them. The wiring is poor and will fail.

Apple have now told me that they are out of warranty and will cost to repair. Pretty disappointing considering they originally cost me £120.

Poor build quality.

I've had 2 different pairs in the past, 1 solo 3 wireless, and 1 studio pair. Both broke at the exact same point (at the folding part of the headband). The headphones are fine but for the price, they are not and you could get a much better pair. I enquired about what to do regarding the second pair as it had no happened twice and nothing came of it but I wouldn't want to waste some poor beats employees time over a replacement pair I wouldn't even want.

Dissolving headphones

The pleather part of the headphone started to dissolve and fall off, so that my face are covered in black fluff after i use them.
I've actually been pretty happy with the headphones, I think the sound and battery is decent.
But honestly I havn't used them more than a few times a month since I got them. Never used them outside, while working out or in any other way that could explain why they just startet falling apart.
I'm so disappointed, because I've been taken care of them and honestly didn't expect them to slowly fall apart by them self.

I will never buy another product from this brand or recommend it.
I could go on and on about how f***ed up I think it is when companies make bad quality items that just breaks or dissolves on their own, but I'll leave this with saying - Save your money and buy from another brand.

steer clear of this rubbish product

Brought a pair of Power beats pro wireless headphones in April, now its only July and I have connection and charging problems, absolute rubbish, would advise anyone not to touch this expensive junk with a barge pole, how are companies allowed to sell sub standard crap for so much money.

The engineers claim its my problem now?

This was last published 18 March 2016

I purchased an expensive pair of in ear headphones from Beats by Dre and for the first 18 months was very satisfied with my investment. As i was approaching the end of my warranty period the product developed a problem and customer services resolved the matter impeccably and replaced my earphones. The replacement set is now less than 9 months old and i have already experienced a number of problems and this time round when i contacted customer services they couldn't care less about me as a customer and where very clear about that. These are an expensive purchase and I am a big believer of spending money on quality that lasts but, when I encounter problems like this I feel incredibly disappointed and left with a bitter taste in my mouth, considering I have been encouraging my friends and family to by this brand.

Unfortunately I am still encountering more problems and have had these earphones changed 3 times and each time I get to use the product for around 10 times before it breaks again with the same question and answer session. After the last change of product I made the agent write a specific note on my profile to acknowledge that if this product fails again I am not prepared to accept the same model as I have no confidence in the product, but Beats have just informed me that they will no longer support the model and I have effectively wasted 3 years with an incredibly poor product. I will now make sure that I choose a different brand in the future to avoid all this heartache and time wasted
