Terrible platform

Terrible platform. Unable to speak to a person at all, all dodgy AI generated responses to any queries or complaints. Reporting an account for stating false employment information and the reply is that you can only report someone directly associated as an admin on your account. Totally unhelpful and has totally put me off using LinkedIn for my hiring as they clearly dont care about false information so completely untrustworthy.

How to stop the endless emails…

Just looked at one person with Linkedin and then had endless emails no matter how many times I unsubscribed. I HAVE NO ACCOUNT WITH THEM! They only have my email address somehow. I have requested a data access / deletion request to ask what data they hold on me and to delete it. This should stop it, if not I will escalate to Information Commissioner’s Office

I have, in the past and quite recently asked this organisation to remove me from being bombarded with their e.mails.I eventually managed to achieve my aim after a lot of grief. They dont , as the law requires give an unsubscribe choice so they just keep sending junk that I have zero interest in.I DO NOT want to be part of Linkedin so kindly unsubscribe me NOW or I will take it further

Customer service is awful beyond words

Customer service is awful beyond words. It's unbelievable that a company which handles people's professional information doesn't have a contact detail to a real person or a reasonably functioning customer service. I asked for an account in my name which I didn't recognise to be closed. They demanded I provide ID verification for my 'main' account. I've done so. They kept sending me a copy and paste email what I need to provide (which I already have). I provided verification for the second time, which they seemed to work. They announced they would be closing my account and closed the case. But haven't told me which account. Fortunately it was in the end the 'spare' one, but the whole process really was not reassuring should a more pressing problem occur.

Linkedin help centre is useless

My account has been hacked so I can't log in to Linkedin (to access the help centre or raise a ticket). I filled out the online form as advised by Linkedin Support and never got a response. I'm locked out of Linkedin forever while someone is impersonating me and ruining my professional reputation by sending messages to all my contacts!

Linkedin, how to get rid

Joined on the advice of a friend and have since long retired and now can't get rid of emails. Have unsubscribed the app and spammed countless emails but still keep getting useless crap. Please just go away.

I was outraged to see on a recent…

I was outraged to see on a recent statement for one of my credit cards that I had been debited almost £1,000 - it was something like £980.00 for a year's renewal of something called ales Navigator on LinkedIn. I have only ever had a free account with them. I don't run a business, I don't offer or sell my services for anything - I am purely an author of non fiction books. I reported this as fraud to my bank who say they would look into it. My credit card was cancelled in the meantime. It now appears that LinkedIn charged me without ever notifying me that they would do so. Despite the fact I had never received even a basic mention of Sales Navigator. I did not. and still do not, know what it is. All I know is that the company (or a fraudster) managed to take almost 1K from my cc account without notification, authorisation, or any sort of a warning email. I am based in the UK, and have instructed my bank that unless this money is reimbursed, I will expose this scam in the press - being a journalist that will be simple to do.

My account was block for no reason and i had to create a new account and they wont for the life of me connect me to my business page. I have been going back and forwards for over a week facing generic unhelpful emails which has got me no where. It is comedy how bad the support is.

It's a shame I can't give 0 stars really.

I put an incorrect password and got locked out needing to verify but verification wouldn't even begin because of their own system error saying I've already submitted a request. I definitely hadn't even clicked on it.

2 months later despite contacting LinkedIn, contacting them on X and my company CEO contacting the legal team to complain, I still have no access to my account and I immediately sent my ID to verify. In fact, I've sent it twice now.

Two months of no access has an impact on my job in sales. The team have been annoyed as I can't fulfil my job duties. Thanks a lot LinkedIn(!!!)

Nightmare

Absolutely dreadful. Back in the day I joined but, as my company deals with individuals rather than business to business, it is not for us. However, I am constantly bombarded, usually several emails every day, from people who have found my details and send cold emails trying to sell products and services I have zero interest in. I have tried to close my account but, LinkedIn do not seem to recognise the only email addresses I have had and the only mobile phone number I have used for the past 30 years. As such I have no way of closing my account short of scanning ID like a driving licence and why would I provide a company I do not trust with details that could then be used for illicit purposes. Be very careful of what you are signing up to if you join LinkedIn.

Linked inability fake site

1. Linkedin used to be good.
However, It's now a false networking site that just takes your data, browsing pattern, and promotes company advertisements.
Get you to go premium membership by tapping into your data, fear etc

2. All jobs posted on Linkedin, 95% are fake jobs.

3. You complain about anything, you'll get banned by giving excuse of identity not matching.

4. Companies are posting adverts that has no relevance to a professional networking site.

5. Example, Companies promotion of AI when people are losing jobs wi5hin the samr companies 🙂

Linkedin is going to become obsolete soon as Next generation is not interested in legacy practices. I hope I get to see demise of this awful site asap.

If I could give them a lower score I would. Locked out of my account and have spent weeks going round in circles, virtually zero response and the few responses I have had, are utterly useless. I pay for premium and they are literally taking a fee to do zero. It shouldn't be legal!

Appalling, non-existent customer service

Horrendous, practically non-existent customer support. Got locked out of my account and am being sent round in circles, with them sending copy paste responses, sending me to links that don't work, and not actually reading or helping me with my issue. Also, did you know you have to log in to LinkedIn in order to contact support about how you cannot log in to LinkedIn? You cannot make this up, it's laughable. This is costing me professional opportunities and it's awful that such a large company can have the power to do this and not care about the impact it's having on people's careers. I am clearly not the only person who has been negatively affected by their shoddy customer service, I see lots of others online who have been treated the same. I have made complaints to the ICO and my next step will be to file court cases due to GDPR breaches.

Absolutely terrible customer services

Absolutely terrible customer services. Platform has restricted my account because I cannot validate my employment through my work email. I know I entered it correctly and they say its invalid. I then upload my government ID and they say they cannot recognise uploads. I have interviews being arranged via linkedin after being made redundant and they simply dont care. I may now lose my job opportunities as a result. Disgusting! Wish there was an alternative platform. If you are applying for jobs, do not use this platform.
