DECEITFUL SITE … The site should be…

DECEITFUL SITE … The site should be called ( DECEITFUL DATING ) because VERY VERY few profiles are VERIFIED as “REAL” with THE BLUE TICK on the profile photo…I have discovered after messaging over 200 women WITHOUT VERIFIED PROFILES, and over 20 women WITH VERIFIED PROFILES , “”that only 2 responded”” , One was Not even in the UK, and The other was a Scammer wanting money off me … I am A WRITER ✍️ , and a Man that is Blessed with Good Looks… My messages are INSPIRING and INTERESTING and INFORMATIVE to read, but ONLY 2 Bogus replies out of over 200 Constructive messages … Match Dating is ( POLLUTED and INFESTED by FAKE and DESERTED PROFILES ) , there are Very VERY Few VERIFIED PROFILES on the site … AVOID AVOID AVOID this dating site …

Where do I start

Where do I start? I am a man looking for a woman and It’s not one of the cheapest and neither is it the best in my experience. The whole site is riddled with spoof profiles. People seem genuine messages go backwards and forwards for a day or two and then a recommendation from them. Suggest we take it to WhatsApp normally followed by it easier to message that way. The messages flow backwards and forwards and the conversation goes well. They seem to open their heart up to you and seem generally interested asking all the right questions information going backwards and forwards as time goes on their information about themselves becomes more limited. They.pay a lot of attention. To you giving you compliments trying to build your trust only for them at some point in the conversation to mention they are having a financial crisis and is it possible to transfer a small amount of money a couple of hundred pounds to a PayPal account? The site is full of scammers on Coun artists that are praying on vulnerable people who are generally looking to find love or friendship. I would strongly advise you whoever is reading this to be very careful with the information you give out and never ever send money to anybody I’m lucky as I have not fallen this trap. I have always blocked and deleted said people just be careful out there are a lot of vultures online.

MATCH.COM IS A SCAM

One star is generous. Since the last update this service has completely fallen apart. I’ve had multiple emails from customer services claiming they “can’t find my account” even though they happily took my money. That alone is disgusting.

Messages aren’t even getting through. I matched with people and later contacted them on another dating app, where they confirmed they never received a single message from me on Match. That makes the whole service pointless.

Add constant login issues, fake-feeling like notifications that lead nowhere, and useless automated support, and this now feels like a scam rather than a dating service. I paid for something that does not work and I will be getting my money back. Avoid.

Dreadful Customer Service

Absolutely hopeless since the disastrous update recently. I have attempted to complain on numerous occasions and Rowan the agent refuses to deal with my complaint. Agents don't seem to realise that if people are paying for a service they should be able to complain if unsatisfied.

Fraud

Copy of an email sent to Match Uk

Hello Match,
I’ve now contacted you multiple times, only to receive the same automated reply claiming you “don’t recognise my email address.”
Curiously, you manage to send those automated replies directly to the very email address you don’t recognise.
Remarkable.
I cannot log into my account. I have received no communication whatsoever explaining why.
Yet today, you had absolutely no trouble at all taking money from my bank account — for a service I currently cannot access.
At this point I’d appreciate an actual reply from a human being, or alternatively, you can cancel my subscription since I’m clearly not receiving the service I’m being charged for.
I look forward to hearing something other than an automated contradiction.

This company is a joke

This company is a joke. I requested support for their service and app. All i got was a automated response probably from some poorly implemented AI on how i can cancel my account. Well I suppose its easier to take the money and run, rather than provide support for their users. Stay away

Edit: After some discussion with support I actually got a refund. Still not impressed by this company

Recent maintinence update.
This without notifying paid customers prior to.

Total shambolic to be honest.

I found as unaware of no access to their date site.
Disruption for days ...As a paying customer

Meaning paying for a service week to week at £24 99 ..Not either being able to access or after their update not being able fully to use as I did before via my mobile

And yet still withdrawing £24.99 from my account whilst I subscribed

I emailed match.com as very unhappy .
One reply however I still found issues

Where I could messsge others before their system update post system update I found I couldn't at most send a "Like" hoping of a response back.. This the only way of means then of me replying .

As their system had been updated

I'm sure they are required to honour prior agreements but paying customers

Not the change affecting that.

Effectively of no choice of my own I were after update paying for a service I were not able to. receive

If they have changed their policies and proceddures and system update customers prior to are required to know.

Not a notification through duration of update stating you can't access system due to maintinence update...Whilst paying a fee for access.

This is professionalism to prior communicate with customers..GIVING NOTICE OF

It is not a good advertisement for Match.Com

Very poor and getting worse since it's January upgrade

I've been a subscriber for 2 years. Now that the site has been upgraded, it lack simple functionality like, seeing messages you've sent to people!
There is zero customer support options and even the generic help pages will not load now.
There are also more and more fake profiles being loaded up, confirming Match's poor security and control.
All in all it's a poor experience since it's upgrade.

The Scammers Are The New Owners.

Despite the message Match Group sent me stating that they take the scammer issue very seriously, the site is now worse than it’s ever been. They account for about fifty percent of the perceived membership. And that’s without taking into account the amount of women who aren’t paid subscribers. It’s all just an illusion, deliberately created by Match Group. They had the audacity to ask me if I would recommend their site to a friend!! I wouldn’t recommend it to an enemy!!

Total mess

Just finished a 1 week membership to see if I’d like this site. What an absolute mess! Couldn’t access most of the features I’d paid for, and you can’t use it at all unless you pay. And there are Soooooo many fake profiles - clearly no one on staff is checking these. You report them but they still stay up. I don’t know if all dating sites are this awful now or if it’s just Match. I won’t be continuing my membership.

MATCH.COM WILL NOT REFUND ME

I have been trying to get a refund on my 6 month subscription (paid on 3 Jan 2026) for two weeks now, Match ignores me. I sent this email to Match.com CEO at 4:40am GMT today;

Can you do two things for me please

1. Refund my 6 month subscription £79.90

2. Your platform is shameful for a company that boasts trading
for over 20 years plus. It’s clunky, the search engine is inaccurate and
as I have found out over the past few weeks is giving me login nightmares

I have been requesting a refund for two weeks now and your pathetic customer
Service team has decided to IGNORE me!

Refund today, I will be contacting my bank this morning to
have them chase you for a CHARGE BACK

I am not surprise this website got so…

I am not surprise this website got so many negative reviews. I just pay my direct debit. Quick take money. Website ask me login in. I forgot my password, sending request to my email to reset password, today second day I waiting for email request. I write to them email, believe no response. As you know you can’t call them. This is website keeping updated website software and changing layouts. That makes more and more complicated to use. I been Coustomer for 10 years. I will be contract trader standards, to looking what this business doing. Not provide promises and quality services, ignoring Coustomer. Please, please dont waste your money and time. Trust me.

The worst dating app you can imagine

The worst dating app you can imagine. The free version basically doesn’t exist. You can’t see anyone without subscribing, and the subscription isn’t cheap either. I gave it a go and paid £30 for a month, only to find myself scrolling through the same people over and over again. The algorithm shows you a wider variety of profiles only a couple of days before the subscription expires. Even when you get a match, nobody starts a conversation. The app didn’t work for almost a week, and the new version was even worse than the previous one. Truly the worst app you can imagine.

Frustrating

I was just browsing and felt under derese to subscribe, i was offered a 6mth subscription for £6.99 per month.
Still not convinced, subscription was what I wanted to do. I somehow became a member.
I tried to make contact and failed, due to there, after care services being v poor standards.
I do not understand why they don't have a purchase cooling off period.

Absolutely shocking, never again

Absolutely shocking. My account has been blocked without no explanation. Despite numerous requests to customer care to provide an explanation and rectify they have not botched doing anything, instead sending the same response email. I've even told them I want it raised as a complaint but not even an acknowledgement to this. I am sure they will be still happy to take my subscription despite being unable to access my account. Never again.

No customer care

All of a sudden my password stopped working and though I requested a reset more than half a dozen of times there was no response. My mail to customer care request either support or deletion of account did not get a response. A waste of time and money.

It's virtually impossible to cancel the subscription

I would advise anyone to stay away from the site I cancelled payments a few months ago and they stopped and today I checked my bank account and found they've taken a payment out of the bank account without any notification I'm now going to contact my bank for a refund definitely steer clear of this site trying to contact them is virtually impossible, I tried to login and it just directed me to register even though I've not been a member for a few months!!!!

Terrible update and service!!

Since the update of January 2026 Match.com is awful.Im getting notifications of likes/interested but when i go into the app there’s nothing there?
Also all my photos have been cropped and reorganised and I’ve had to sort it but can’t choose the photo as my first pic ?!!
I’ve also lost those I was communicating with?
I have emailed to be told to be patient for a response but whilst I’m waiting I’m paying match.com for a service they can’t provide!!
Sack whoever is responsible for the update and sort out this mess whilst you’re holding on to payments!!
