Bigger isn't always better and this small drill packs a lot of power for it's size. Having had it's sister 18V One+ HP Compact Brushless Combi Drill for several years with plenty of use, it was a no brainer when it came to replacing an older Ryobi CDI 1802 (yes, that's one of the original Ryobi blue coloured drills over 25 years old) that I had still been using. The drill is very compact, light weight and is well balanced in your hand so no fatigue with using this one. Being slightly shorter than the Combi Drill, it is also great at getting into those tight spaces. The trigger activated LED work light is also very handy. If like me, you prefer to leave the drilling in concrete to the SDS models then there is no need for a Combi drill! This drill driver stands up well as a reliable work horse and is both hard working and robust. If anything, it could do with having a bit holder like on other models but this really is being nit picky!

I really like the light weight and smaller size, especially with the 2Ah battery. It is half the weight of my other drill. I also like the long pull on the trigger control which I find makes the speed controllable. The one negative I have is that it has a strong motor for a drill without any kind of anti-bind mechanism, so care is needed to avoid injury.

Absolutely brilliant. It has a lot of torque and is faster than my 8 year old Ryobi compact drill driver, but the main feature that hits you straight away is how incredibly small it is. Then you pick it up and you're hit again by how amazingly light it is. The BLDC motor and drive are much more efficient than the old brush motor, so it's consumption is lower. I've always gone for big 5Ahr batteries, but this thing being so light I got the recommended 2Ahr battery and the combination is really easy to use, there's no fatigue from holding it all. Highly recommended.

Ok so far, bought as an extra when I need to drill holes and fit screws without having to change bits each time so its not my main drill.
