The machine is quite heavy and has to be used with caution due to the spinning cutter. If this is your first edger and you have a thick edge to your lawn with over grown bits. Then you will need a multi tool cutter to cut through the root system of the grass - this edger only created a line between the paving and where you want your grass to remain. i am hoping now the edge has been created a quick spin with the edger through the year will keep the lawn edge tidy. We shall see?

It is designed to go anti clockwise around edges which does not suit me. Where there are large bushes in corner of lawn you can't turn around as guides are then on opposite side. Safety notes say never to pull device only push. On highest setting blades are too deep for my lawn edge. Made a mess in places.

This is a good product and I've only used it twice, I find it to be a bit messy in the context of it throws a lot of debris everywhere but this could be because I'm just cutting the first "channel ". And I'm getting used to the machine.

Great edging tool. Knocks spots off the traditional half moon thing and forget using an inaccurate strimmer. I had our lawn, about 100m, done in about 20 minutes! Knocked a star off simply because as usual with anything battery-powered, real life performance never lives up to what it says on the box.

Unfortunately, due to the high water table here, we haven't been able to give the edger a good workout. It has been fine when we have been able to use it, BUT, again due to the high water table, it sprayed fine mud everywhere. We are now beginning to dry out so we will try again soon.
