Went from corded one to battery and the difference is unbelievable. No more pulling cables out of the way or making sure you don’t cut them and if it starts raining you have to stop straight away with corded but not with Rayobi.

I've now had an opportunity to use it to cut around 20 years of Laurel hedge. Cuts well even through quite thick stems. I have 4 or 5 different tools and like the fact that my two batteries fit all the tools. That batteries are quick to recharge and one battery lasted much longer that I had expected. Very happy with that. The hedge trimmer is great quality and a good design with both the guide handle and trigger needing to be engaged in order for it to operate. Much easier to use than the old cable fed machine that I was using.

We Purchased this under the guise it was lightweight and a starter kit IE comes with a battery. Item was delivered safely and intact. Sadly minus the battery. We're not prepared to pay £90 odd for a battery So we contacted Ryobi asking them to come and collect it as we're sending it back to them. There's a 14 money back garentee which has now expired Due to Ryobi not getting its act together as we contacted them within a day of the items arrival So we are now left with no option but to open up a dispute with PayPal and hopefully get our money back..Ryobi customer service 2/10 must do much better

I have a number of Ryobi tools. Cable free makes life easier and the interchangeable batteries are a great idea. The trimmer cuts well and is not too heavy. All good so far.

Wonderfully light. To help keep it light, I use a battery which lasts 20 mins. That isn’t a problem because u need a rest after 20 mins. I am 81!!

First time in use I found it heavy basically because of my shoulder injury, cutting the side face of the hedge the cutter performed well above expectations it was let down however on cutting the top face where it's weight was an issue
