Looks great feels great and is a fantastic machine, it’s got more power than you would think from a cord free belt sander, the dust bag is brilliant too I used the sander none stop for around 25 minutes and there was a very small amount of dust that had settled within a foot of where I was working. Brilliant well robust tool.

as with all Ryobi good value for the price point, I have a good collection now and with One+ battery don't have to worry. the belt sander works very well.

Does exactly what I want
It's a fine idea but its power consumption is so high that a 4Ah battery lasts less than 10 minutes. The belt speed was also a lot slower than the belt speed of the cheap mains powered tool I bought to do the job in hand, which was sanding a floor. It might have an application in the future, away from the house for small jobs, but it's definitely not suitable for sanding a floor.

I use a mains powered belt sander, for a variety of jobs. So a heavy Ryobi user (virtually all my power tools are now Ryobi +1 range) the chance to get this at a bargain price, was unmissable. This performs just as well as my mains version.
Not used yet but looks good and feels sturdy.
