Works quite well as it catches all the thatch that the machine rakes up is easy to install and remove when loaded with the dead grass.

The choice of whether to use the Debris Catcher is up to the individual, bearing in mind it can fill up very fast when using the Scarifier Blades. When using the Aerator Roller for the Scarifier it doesn't fill up as quick. The quality is up to the same excellent quality I have found in all my RYOBI Tools and Accessories, with a good fit so keeping dead grass and dust down to a minimum. I normally mow the lawn quickly, then scarify or aerate, then mow again quickly to pick-up the little that the Debris Catcher might miss. That works well for me.

This one is difficult to rate. There in nothing wrong with the quality or in my opinion, the price. It’s up to RYOBI usual standards. The issue is that it fills up in a matter of seconds when using the scarifier, even on its highest level. It is therefore not a lot of use really. Sorry RYOBI - you usually get 5 stars for everything!

After a wet winter and a mass of moss,I cannot recommend buying the collection box,buy a plastic rake,and save yourself a lot of time.

Leaves grass on lawn as well as basket, much more than should be. Found this part of the machine not very good at all.

As long as you don't expect it to collect all the scarified debris (even emptying very frequently), it's fine. Some people may not want to bother with it for this reason, but I use it to collect the worst of the debris, then run over with the mower to finish off. I didn't need to get the rake out.
It doesn't work. Just buy the scarifier which is a great product then use a rotary mower to pick up the debris.

its fairly cheap and does a good job. a LOT easier than a rake!

This is a cheap addition. To be honest it’s easier to just use the scarifier without and go over with a mower afterwards but this works as it should and was inexpensive.
