£155.80 CANCELLED TRAIN NO REFUND

FIRSTLY MY BOOKING WAS INCORRECT, INSTEAD OF TWO RETURN TICKETS. WE GOT THREE SINGLE TICKETS.

FURTHER MORE OUR TRAIN WAS CANCELLED (JUNE 2016) DUE TO A STRIKE. AFTER MONTHS OF TELEPHONE CALLS, EMAILS, LETTERS AND STILL NO REFUND ISSUED. IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A REAL ANSWER. MISINFORMED. HANDLED EXTREMELY POORLY. NEVER EVER WILL USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. REALLY DISAPPOINTING.

Useless and expensive

The woman on the phone was rude and kept me on the line running up a bill of over £10 when they couldn't even sell me a simple rail ticket anyway. I managed to buy the correct ticket elsewhere simply and for free. Avoid this company.

No tickets but three payments

Just tried booking with the company tonight for our group in two weeks, card kept saying declined they took three payments @ £72 a booking! No confirmation of tickets just a notice to say payment failed? Can't call until tomorrow now but this is totally unacceptable. And after reading all these terrible reviews I highly doubt we will get our money back.

BEWARE purchasing rail tickets to/from Brussels Airport rail station.

I recently purchased 2 rail tickets from Brussels Airport rail station to Bruges, using Voyages-SNCF UK website. Upon arrival at Brussels airport rail station, it quickly became apparent that the automatic entry barriers could not read the SNCF tickets due to the absence of a barcode. On checking with rail staff, I was informed that all SNCF tickets required payment of an additional 'Diablo Surcharge' of 5.10 euro, per person, per journey and was directed to the onsite ticket office to puchase tickets for this surcharge before I could access the platform.
At no point during the online booking process or on the tickets or accompanying correspondence, is any mention made that a surcharge is payable at the rail station before the SNCF tickets can be used.
Clearly better to purchase rail tickets for Belgium, direct from Belgian Rail, on their own website, where the Diablo Surcharge is already included and the tickets can be used to operate the automated barriers.
SNCF Voyages subsequent response to my complaint was deplorable, fobbing me off with blatant lies.I should have viewed all the negative customer service reviews on Trust Pilot before using this appaling company.I am pursuing my complaint with the UK regulators.

Very unsatisfactory handling of refund claim

I purchased a return trip from Voyages-SNCF to go from Bayeux to Leuven on 1st June. This had to be cancelled due to strike action.
After 10 weeks I have still not received a refund. When I contacted Voyages-SNCF I was given contradictory advice and then told that there was nothing they could do. My request to speak to a supervisor was refused. I was also not given the relevant email address to send details of my problem despite repeated requests. There was no evidence of any action being taken to resolve the problem.
I would strongly advise prospective rail passengers NOT to use Voyages-SNCF.

Very bad service

I wanted to make a change in my reservation. Because the website failed, I called them for help. Very bad service, seemed the person on the phone did not want to help me. Gave me the phonenumber of SNCF, said I could try it there.
That phone number does not exist, which left me nowhere.
After that I wanted to cancel my reservation online, which failed again. On top of that the site showed me the reservations of other people, which I was able to cancel. Unbelievable! I will never book something here again!

Never honoured a booking, took nearly one month to acknowledge they were wrong

I made a booking, never received a confirmation email. Customer service admitted over he phone that it was a known issue and if I emailed them details of the journey I'd tried to book they would resolve it. Then waited through three weeks of emails not being returned and phone calls going unanswered whilst the money sat pending in my account. Tweeting negatively about them finally got their attention, and eventually, almost a month after buying the tickets, they've apologised for their poor customer service, but said they can't honour the booking. The worst purchasing experience I've ever had. Avoid SNCF-Voyages like the plague.

I did not received my ticket

I paid for my ticket extra £8.00 because I had to book it in a short time - just 5 days before my journey. My ticket has never arrived. When I call the company, 3 days later, regarding my missing ticket they told me that they have nothing to do with delivery. I have been told that the company is using reliable service and tickets have been always delivered. Reading the reviews, it looks like this company is having pretty big problems. I will demand compensation as I am forced to buy the most expensive flight ticket now.

No refund

i paid extra in order to be able to refund my tickets in case we can't make it and the sncf kept transferring me to different numbers and places. I ended up with no refund and really big phone bill and gas bill since I had to go to the neighboring city to their offices which proved also as incompetent as the website and all their agents.

It is really impossible to get hold of someone who really knows how anything works. It is so unprofessional and I will never ever make a reservation with them again.

I got charged 3 times the amount of my train tickets and did not receive my booking confirmation.

I tried booking for tickets for Madrid to Barcelona, but my DEBIT card got declined TWICE. Then using another card, I tried paying again and got declined again.

I then went on to check my bank account, and realised I got charged all 3 times but did not receive any booking confirmation as the website said my cards got declined!!

I am now charged a total of £435 with absolutely no booking confirmation whatsoever. And when I called their 08 number the next day (7p per minute), they said I only have been charged once on the second card, and no charges on the first card, the one that I have been charged twice, when they clearly did!

They then said the amount will automatically be returned to me in 5 days, if not I will have to call back again (7p per minute!!) and they will sort things out but then this time it may take about 1-2 MONTHS to get my money back. SERIOUSLY??

Lousy service, misleading and not trustworthy

Booked 5 trips, all e-tickets except one. Was advised that it will be sent by post. Waited for weeks and received nothing. Email them twice but no reply. End up found out thru their FB it was wrong option, have to buy thru another option. They will only refund me when I buy new tickets from them. It was more expensive via the new option and have to pay extra for their so-called admin support. Worst, have to collect the tickets personally at their office during office hours. very bad experience. They don't even worth one star.

The caring travel company

IAlways very informative and helpful, have used many times and will continue to do so.
For the adventure trips in europe the telephone advice service is excellent, and very helpful choosing the right tickets at the best prices.

Complete rip off service

Called Rail Europe who's now officially SNCF (French Railway) in London to book some Eurostar and TGV connection in France.
Beside being charged a service charge for the service to booking over the phone and 2.5% for paying by Credit Card, I discovered that I was charged £4.50 by telephone provider for calling their 08448485848 number.
I find that totally excessive, especially when the person booking my tickets wasn't that helpful but rather brash and cocky.
Never again and will continue using the Eurostar portal instead to book my tickets in future.
Rail Europe/SNCF you are a rip off !!
