Put in a London postcode district and you get every Ofsted-rated school
within 3 miles, each with its rating, type and distance, plus how the
area compares to the national picture. SW1A returns 207 schools, 94%
rated Outstanding or Good against 87% nationally, and it covers the
independent schools too: Westminster School, Westminster Under School
and The Royal Ballet School all appear with their distance.

You can also put up to four areas side by side, which is the fastest way
to compare neighbourhoods before committing to one.

One honest caveat. A strong school nearby is not the same as a place at
it. Most London state schools admit on distance and the cut-off moves
year to year, so check the school's own admissions page for last year's
furthest offer before you choose a street.

Thank you. One postcode, everything in one place, and no opening fifteen
tabs to work out what you are buying into. That was the whole idea, so
it is good to hear it lands that way.
