Hi Michelle,
We are truly sorry to hear that you are dissappointed with our service, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
Please be assured that our Sonographer followed all appropriate protocols and pathway during both the initial scan and the complimentary rescan, providing a detailed report on each occasion, she is also working in the Hospital, where she is assigned to Early Pregnancy Unit and Antenal Clinic.
During your Initial scan on 11.04.2025, at which time there was NO evidence of pregnancy. However, due to your POSITIVE pregnancy test, We extended a free rescan - a gesture we offer in specific cases to ensure client safety and proper follow-up.
This complimentary rescan is NOT standard practice in most other clinics, but one we provide out of care and commitment to our clients. (to ensure the pregnancy is not ectopic)
During your follow-up scan performed 10 days later, two cystic structures were observed- structures that were NOT visible during your first scan - were these communicated to your recent scan? as based on these findings and your POSITIVE pregnancy test result, our report indicated a "possible" early twin pregnancy. These observations are backed by both images and video recording securely stored in our system.
We understand that you later attended another clinic; However, we cannot comment on the protocols or conclusions followed there.
We stand by our report and the medical evidence supporting it.
Between 25.04 and the date of your later scan, it is medically possible that the result is disappointing, which might explain the change in your pregnancy test result. We noted the need for a follow-up scan in our report for this very reason. The importance of a follow-up scan, precisely because early pregnancies can be unpredictable and out comes can vary within weeks.
We deeply regret that this experience caused you any distress. Our goal has always been to act in your best interest with professionalism and care. We have a copy from both your initial and second scans for transparency. As this complaint was posted through a public review we feel obliged to post this response here as well, we provide clarity and context for others who may read it.
Once again, we apologise for your experience and appreaciate your understanding, and we prepared to pursue the appropriate channels to resolve this matter professionally.
Kind regards,
UltrasoundBest
