LiVilla Australia underfloor heating

LiVilla Australia underfloor heating, just be aware they charge $850 plus GST to put the wire on the floor and it takes them two hours. Also you have to pay for another electrician to come and wire up the controller.

Avoid

Avoid. Quoted £1750 + VAT to flush out our underfloor heating and put in new pipes as current leaking part is obsolete. A full day's work apparently. This was quoted 3 mins after looking at the system - call out fee £200. None of which would have solved the small problem as to why the heating was not working.

Actual work required: New motor, work completed in 2hrs, at a cost of £300 in total

Avoid at all costs

Scammers. Turned up 3 hours late. Was here for 15 minutes & charged £145 for doing nothing even though I was quoted £120 for a service. Proceeded to tell me some BS that both heating units needed to be replaced and one has never worked because it was ‘installed wrong’ 🙄 It has worked the last 2 years so my BS radar was firing. Then I looked up their company and surprise surprise they are in liquidation.
Lord knows where their 5* reviews came from.

Another horrible tale…

Another horrible tale…

The most unprofessional company I have ever come across. They charged us £2500 to inspect our underfloor heating and install a new pump. This took about two hours in total. Alan the owner of the company said all was now working but of course it wasn’t. He said they would come back and sort it out. Time after time they did not turn up as arranged and then when they finally did come, they told me I needed a new boiler. At this point, alarm bells started to ring so I called Worcester Bosch. They gave the boiler a full service and were very clear that there was nothing fundamentally wrong with it and I definitely didn’t need a new one. In the end I had to pay a different company to properly fix the problem.

In retrospect it seems a classic and well-rehearsed scam… Take advantage of people’s ignorance and distress when heating goes wrong in the middle of winter. Fail to turn up at the agreed time. When you do turn up, declare a reason for the problem that - lo and behold – needs a very expensive solution. And then it doesn’t work.

The worst thing about it is I gave my friend their number right at the beginning of the ordeal, before I knew better. And now they’ve had very similar experience, to my great regret.

Avoid at all costs.

Avoid This Company Like The Plague

Avoid this company like the plague. They overcharge, don’t resolve the issues and then to add insult to injury they don’t turn up for appointments. They charged me £600 for a power flush on my ground floor only and spent less than an hour doing that. I’ve now found out that is way to little time and the underfloor heating still didn’t work once they’d finished. Absolutely useless rip off merchants.

a day agowE HAVE GOT JUDGEMENT AT THE COUNTY COURT AGAINT THIS COMPANY AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO PAY. HAD TO INSTRUCT BALIFFS. Appalling. We have paid well over £500 over the past two years to have a repair contract with this company. They took a week to come, failed to turn up for two whole days whilst we sat in, not a phone call or message to tell us they were not attending. Then turned up at 23.00 on a Saturday night, walked in and within literally 5 minutes said it was nothing to do with the underfloor heating but the boiler and walked out. We then had to employ a plumber (impossible before Christmas) and when our regular plumber came he confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the boiler at all. . This company had done an expensive repair before we took out the contract and replaced the pump. They did a full inspection, as a condition of accepting our system for one of their repair contracts so they can't say that the system was faulty as they confirmed it was acceptable for a contract with them. In fact, one of the main parts of the system they had checked was fitted the wrong way up and was causing most of the issues.
Their website clearly states that they do an annual maintenance visit that would ensure sludge and dark irons do not build up but in 2 years we had no such visit. When we asked them to reimburse us for the plumber's bill, they refused. So we have had to go to court to get our money back.
We realise now that they seem happy to do an expensive repair but honouring a repair contract would appear to be less interesting to them. Beware.

Clueless Engineer

My HIU unit broke. Their engineer came and told me I needed to replace the whole unit (£1000+), whereas the next guy came and fixed the washer within 30 minutes. Additionally, UFHC's engineer broke the HIU cover in the process (picture attached)
They would also charge you £192 for a "call out fee", for a guy to come, played around with a few valves and break the cover.
Subsequent contact to customer service has been ignored.

Avoid this service if possible

Avoid this service if possible. They charge 1 hour for a 20 min job. They came to fix my underfloor heating. They temporarily fixed the heating but they broke the hot water on all the pipes of the flat. I had to pay again to repair the damage that they did.

paid £132 for an engineer come out to look at my damaged underfloor heating, he did nothing more than look at it, took no measurements which was what was promised.
His directors then decided they didn't want to do the repair work and didn't return phone calls when I said I wanted a refund.
