Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you feel the Star Map itself was expensive and of poor quality.
Each Star Map is custom made and printed on high quality paper. We use 200 GSM smooth fine art paper and print at 300 DPI resolution as we believe this gives the best results. Typical poster prints are 120-140 GSM.
Each frame is handmade by a team of specialist picture framers and the print custom framed. Our frames are created from high-quality wood usually solid ash or similar, with hand stained satin finish.
For all of these reasons our products cost a little more than the average, but we do not believe in dropping the quality to reduce the price.
If your Star Map is in fact damaged please send us photos of the damage together with photos of the packaging if you have it. Even if the packaging does not appear damaged. We always replace damaged orders.
With regards to the constellation information, there was a link attached to your order confirmation, possibly you missed it. We have resent it to you at the email address you used to place the order.
I hope the above helps to reassure you that you have purchased a high quality product, customised to your specifications.

overpriced for mediocre quality product.
Just wasnt impressed with the quality of the poster. I was expecting some more craftsmanship vs what I believe is a poster I could have bought at Walmart for $10. Also the poster came not framed as advertised and pictured in the order. They do offer "professional framing" for an additional $40. I did decline as I just wanted a basic frame. But the product showed up in a cardboard tube. So I was not impressed. Its a great idea. But im having a hard time seeing the value of the item. $160+ iss severly excessive. More reasonable price would be $20-$50.

We are happy to frame your map if you select that option while ordering. If you do not, you receive just the print to frame it yourself, which is a preference of many of our customers.
For unframed orders, we indicate "Frame not included" in your cart, on the payment page and in the confirmation email. After sending out the email, we wait 24 hours before sending the Star Map to be printed to allow for customers to edit their order or change their mind.
We sincerely hope that your Star Map will still bring you joy as a reminder of a special moment in your life.

The greatest compliment I can to give Lucky Stars is the look on my wife's face when I gave her a Map of the Stars of the night of our first date. All she could say was 'How the hell did you remember the actual date?'

My wife of 51 years absolutely loved it! I was in the Navy, enrolled in college when we met, and taking my first semester of astronomy. We were stationed in Pensacola, Florida, and spent many evenings on the beach enjoying the beautiful night sky. This brought back several wonderful memories.

No “Key” or “Story” for Constellations?
How is it you don’t include a star map “key” for identifying the stars and constellations depicted by on the map we purchased with a few small details and the “story” of each of those constellations? I would love to be able to identify what I’m looking at so I can use it as a guide when looking through my telescope.
