The booking was a seamless one and within 24hrs all arrangements was with the Landlord.

Falsely advertised monthly rent prices and upcharged when booked. Refused to refund even when we provided all the evidence it was their fault and they stopped replying to emails.

Their website advertised the flat in Lisbon with variable rent. Booked the flat, when the invoice came out, it only showed the higher rent. They wouldn’t admit their website showed the wrong rent and wouldn’t give us a refund. I wish we’d never gone anywhere near them!

I had a great experience with Uniplaces, especially with their customer support. The team was always helpful, professional, and quick to respond whenever I had questions.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Uniplaces. I strongly advise others to be cautious before booking through this platform, especially since they do not have a physical office or a customer support phone line.

I booked a room through their platform (Booking ID: 1188780) on 1 July 2026. The listing clearly stated that the room included air conditioning. However, there was no air conditioning at all.

I explained to the landlord, Maria, that I had recently undergone heart surgery and have a heart condition, so staying in an apartment without air conditioning during Lisbon’s heat wave was not safe for me. I even went to the police station, and the police contacted Maria regarding the issue. She informed the police that she had already cancelled the booking.

Despite this, Uniplaces is still holding my €1,296 and has not refunded my money. They also charged me €576 in service fees, even though the accommodation did not match the advertised listing and they failed to provide the service I paid for.

If it were possible to give a rating below zero stars, I would. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. If my money is not refunded, I will pursue all available legal options, including taking the matter to court. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through the same experience.

Joel helped me a lot and my situation was not simple. Not Easy tò find a good budget room with my budget and further more only in certain parts of the city.

I would like to suggest introducing a clear framework for landlords to ensure they are not allowed to request any payments beyond what is stated in the contract before handing over the property.

In particular, requesting a security deposit before the property is actually delivered to the tenant feels completely unreasonable and unusual. This practice can create confusion and unfair pressure on tenants, and I believe it should be clearly regulated and prevented within the process.

I think the cancellation policy is terrible because as a student coming from abroad, I'm left stranded when my visa isn't approved, but the speed of other assistance is great.
