I was not able to activate my gift card in the very short a lot of time. I have spent so far over three weeks trying to get the company to activate the card for me. They keep coming back to me for more or different information. But no help whatsoever.
Do not buy from this company they are crap. They have no customer service and no care for the Customer at all.
Falsely expire cards. I received the gift card in August. They claim I received the gift card a year prior, and it had expired, and that I'd lost the substantial amount of money that was on the card. The Office of Fair Trading in QLD said Universal Gift Cards were in the wrong, but they had no authority to enforce action against them.
The card had a 12 month expiry, compared to other gift cards which are 3 years. I couldn’t use the card at a checkout - and by the time I queried it (and at a time when I needed it) I was told I’d forfeited the money ($500) per their T&Cs. I could imagine paying a reasonable admin fee for reissue - but they are dismissive and insist I’ve forfeited the money. I recommend finding an alternative, customer centric gift card supplier. I wish I’d read some of the other reviews online and understood their business model before being caught up in it.
