The salesman Jake told us our windows would be cleaned and stickers would be taken off. He also said to use the app to see updates on when windows would be in, app never kept us updated and we told him that we would be away the week before Xmas. The windows came in, we got a call that they wanted to install them on Dec. 19 when we were gone, told if it couldn't be installed then we would have to pay a storage fee. We were never told anything like that from Jake our salesperson. I told the lady to keep the windows and then she changed the installation date. The install guys were great. They had to send a guy out 2 weeks later to clean the windows as promised to us and that was a hassle with Natasha telling us they had no one to do that then said she would get someone out in 2 weeks. Overall the windows are good the installers were the best but Salesman was a windbag and the 2 ladies I talked to were rude.

Oldie but Goodie
With a few hiccups in communication at the half way point of this transaction, everything from signing the contract and meeting the crew (who installed the siding on our ‘oldie but goodie’ garage) went smoothly.
After downloading the Hover app and taking pictures of the garage, Josh(Sales Rep) showed up to look over the garage and give us an estimate. I had 3 other estimates and the price point came right in the middle. The selling point for me was Josh.
It’s hard to give up 1/2 of the payment at signing and then almost another 1/2 of the payment to the warehouse before anything is even done. I was putting ALOT of faith in Universal to follow through.
Once I finally received a follow-up call from Universal, an appointment was set-up and the supplies were dropped at my house. I received a call from Eric who seemed to be the lead man with the installation. Being that it was December, weather was questionable. But he would always call and let me know what time and when they would arrive. With 4 installers and inclement weather, the job took approx 2 days.
I am very happy with the finished product. The garage is very old and lots of adjustments had to be made to make it work. I appreciate the time and explanations I received while watching. I’ve seen good and bad reviews for Universal Windows, but I would recommend them if asked. Thanks.

Extremely happy with the end result of my window installation. John Baker and his team did an excellent job installing all of the windows in my home. He was quick to identify an issue with the measurement of 2 windows and how long it will take until they are replaced. Very pleased with the look and feel of these windows.

Mistakes throughout peocess
We started this process early March. We were guaranteed by the sales rep that the process would be done in one installation & it would only take one day to complete. We were never communicate with & the first installation occurred over 2 days. Additionally, 2 of our windows were not measured correctly. So they had to rebuild the 2 mismeasured windows. We were told it would be put on a “rush” order & would get done within 4-6 weeks. It took an additional 11 weeks from the first install to have the second installation. One of the two second windows had a defect that was noticed during installation. So they had to go back again to build another window. Same story of a rush order being put in and this time it took an additional 12 weeks. We talked with customer service throughout the process and asked about compensation for their errors. We were told to wait until completion & talk to the Sales Manager. Just spoke with a worker & were denied compensation. Only thing the worker apologized for was for the complete lack of communication. I wouldn’t recommend ever working with this company as there is no communication, they don’t fulfill their promises, and they don’t do anything for the errors along the way. This project took 8 months to get complete due to multiple errors by the company and we wanted compensation but were ultimately denied

We were very reluctant about any company after our horrible experience with A-1 Superior Home improvement, but we had broken windows after one of the storms so we had to do something. So glad we chose Universal. I do not know if they were the cheapest but I feel they all probably range pretty closely. It is just a matter of what quality you get. We chose to go with the midgrade windows as opposed to the cheapest. They obviously cost a little more but, WOW what a difference. The entire process took a little over 6 weeks from the time we ordered to to installation. Installation was done in 1 day. Installers were very professional, did a great job and finished quickly. We are very pleased with the outcome. They are brand new, so, I cannot attest to how well they hold up but the upgraded ones do come with a lifetime warranty that is transferable. We would choose Universal again if we had to do it over.

Just got the rest of my windows done. I split the house in two jobs to make it easier to pay off. Universal Windows from start to finish in all aspects were great. Universal Windows - what can I say?
Price: reasonable
Sales Agent: knowledgeable, friendly, down-to-earth. We felt very comfortable with having him share his knowledge with us.
Communication: We were contacted as soon as our product was ready. Even when we had to reschedule the install it was no problem.
Installation: Really good. The installers were friendly, fast and knowledgeable. They were able to find an issue we may have with a section of our gutters we wouldn’t have known about prior to the installation.
Overall: We are pleased with the entire process. We will recommend Universal Windows to everyone we know.

From beginning to end we have had a great experience from sales to installation. The installer were fast and efficient. No issues there.
On the other side dealing with production, there was alot of adhesive left on the windows and took a lot of time trying to scrub the adhesive off. I suggest before delivering the windows they should clean off all the adhesive.

Over all very good. Window order arrived early, one down side is that you basically have ten days to schedule the install. Install crew was meticulous and very efficient. They did call to let me know their arrival time.

Great service upfront, not on the back end.
I will begin with the positives.
The salesman, Carlo, was absolutely amazing. He was honest and upfront during our consultation and even played a pretty important role saving us a few unnecessary fees when it came time to schedule the install. At the last minute, they called to schedule and with less than a work week's notice, I was out of town for a 2 week period and my wife is in a management position that she unable to just take off from with out enough notice to provide adequate coverage, they were very quick to threaten a 1% weekly storage fee. We contacted Carlo and he was able to assist on getting us a little leeway.
The installation crew was also pretty incredible. Very professional, and safe. If I had to critique them I would say that they do not call before showing up. When asked they said they never do. The only other thing is we were left to finish detailing around windows when done. We had a large bay window installed and I had to fill in all the holes left by the Brad nailer and apply the stain. Minor inconvenience that my wife highly disliked considering the amount of money we paid.
Now for the negative(s)...
Crew arrived to install my windows 4 windows short. They simply were not ordered. This forced one of us to use another vacation day and rearrange our schedules to be available for a second install.
When we try to reach management, they were never available. Management seemed to spend most of their time in meetings and never returned our phone calls.
Long story short, for the thousands of dollars we spent on having this major project completed, I do not appreciate being dodged. Because of that, I will not be returning for future work when I have more windows and all my doors replaced. It's unfortunate that we continue to fund ourselves on the short end of trust and a very lopsided teeter of loyalty. The search will continue.

Mostly great
Install crew was efficient and polite. Did a great job installing the new windows and cleaning up afterwards. Only snag in the process was a misunderstanding on the type of window we wanted in a specific area. Once it was realized, company was good about adjusting the order to accommodate request. Windows were ready ahead of schedule, which was great, but also inconvenient because they could not be warehoused for more than a few days without causing a large fee for storage. Something to think about if you have a day job requiring more than a couple days notice that you need a day off.

All windows replaced and they look fantastic. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is that one window frame needs attention, and after the Salesperson, Measurer, Installer, all took down the requirement information with a promise of replacement, no one has yet to fix this window frame.

The job was completed in one day and Aric and his partner left the job absolutely spotless. We are thrilled with the quality and look of our new windows!

I love the prompt on time to install the windows and the warranty I have a problem with the fact tht a picture window tht was supposed to replaced twice the window came to the company broke they called me and let me know both times I didn't get my window put In till 3months later i only owed $870 after tht last window was installed I should of got half off of tht last $870 or I shouldn't had to pay nothing I wanted to purchase doors from universal windows but I think I'll look somewhere else 😢
