Great window products! This was my third purchase. Extremely happy with the company, all their sales and customer services. This was the second time with my installer Mr. Ryan Lilly. From the very beginning of the process, Universal Windows Direct was wonderful. The consultation was great - the sales rep explained and demonstrated everything so that it was easy to understand and make a decision. Throughout the process, everything was extremely well communicated which made things very easy to be able to know what the next step was. When the windows were installed, the installers were friendly, efficient, and respectful of my time and my residence. I could not be happier with my experience with Universal Windows Direct and I will definitely be recommending them to friends and family in the future.

Install team was courteous, clean and did a great job on schedule.

I was totally ripped off by this company, I ordered and paid for double hung windows, but instead they installed some cheap slider windows. I contacted them immediately and stayed in constant contact with their supervisor, Micheal Miner. He acknowledged that their sales person Donovan who no longer works there had done something wrong and assured me that this would be taken care of. Instead Micheal Miner lied to me for two months and then decided to do nothing and wouldn’t accept my calls or return any. I called the office and was totally disrespected and hung up on by Sara.I even got an expensive subscription on Linkedln to contact their President, Tang Wong and still didn’t get a response. Recently I spoke with another manager Cindy who told me they would not do anything for me. I asked if I could speak to someone over her and she said that there was no one over her. So I guess her and Micheal miner runs this company and gives everyone else permission to be rude and disrespectful to customers. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

My installers were AMAZING!!!!! I could tell the difference in quality from my old windows before they even finished. It has made a major difference in my home 🙏🏾

Came knocking on our door asking to measure our windows, did not stop asking over and over even when we said we may not be able to afford it, because nobody can down our street even then. Finally gave in, allowed them to send someone around and they turned up late and would not leave for a full hour and a half, they wanted over 25k for a few windows, which is mad because that's 3k just for one window.
They're salespeople working on commission to try and make you spend as much money as they want not window fitters.

We signed a contract with Universal Windows Direct in May of 2023 & were told that our windows would be installed within just a few weeks. It is now almost May of 2024 and all of our windows still haven’t been installed correctly. Dealing with this company has been an absolute HEADACHE. They have incorrectly measured our windows multiple times now & only realize this after we wait weeks for them to receive the new windows & for them to be installed. It is also difficult to get in contact with anyone in management with this company & when you do get in contact with them, they do very little to correct the situation. I would strongly advise choosing a different company for your windows.

Universal Windows Direct responded telling me someone would be in touch with me but as of 5/15 and multiple calls to UWD, no one has contacted me or returned any of my communications.

The installers were polite, worked hard and cleaned up! They were very professional! We love our windows.

Guys worked their butts off that day. Took a little break to eat but stayed with it. Windows look great. Did a good clean-up and explained how everything worked before they left.

The two installer’s arrived right on time and went right to work. Very nice gentleman and very hard workers. We love our new windows they made our home look so much better and we can already tell a difference in the noise control. Just so happy 😊

The windows look great and are a huge improvement over our new construction grade windows. The installers where great, the were very considerate, polite, and did a fantastic job. The even showed us a new way to use the windows.

From the moment I contacted Universal Windows Direct, I received exceptional professionalism. Carlo came to my home and did a fantastic job explaining the windows and their product. Once we committed to the purchase, Carlo was there for every cha ge we wanted to make and made the process easy for us and seamless. Our windows came in around the estimated time stated upon sale and they immediately scheduled a date for install. The installers that came to my home were professional and explained the entire process. They did a fantastic job on the install and were extremely meticulous. We could not be happier with our new windows and the experience we had with Universal Windows Direct.

Mike Moran and Don did a great job with the installation. They kept me informed and made sure I was satisfied with their work. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Rodney, Tyler & Jordan were awesome. They were extremely professional and paid special attention to detail and cleanliness.

Overall like the windows, I used uwd because my brother used them 2yrs earlier in same area. We also bought the uwd windows for the warranty. My experience with the charlotte office was night and day different than my brother's. 1st I didn't recieve the promotion of free triple pain upgrade but I was fine with that, but I live in an hoa and all the front windows have to have grids(6) which was expressed to the salesman and the rest didn't need to and we didn't want the grids on the other. After 2 weeks that the order was in got a call from salesman that he messed up and needed to add a grid windiw to front and replace the grid window in the back of the house that didn't need grids so we resigned for the correction....we'll the windows came in early like 2 to 3 weeks which was great and the y was great keeping us in loop. The day of the installation only 2 guys showed up and told us that the rest of the crew had to go to a bigger job my house was signed up for 14 windows and a patio door. And the head installer said this was a big job and will take all day which we was told at signing. But he seemed overwhelmed but jumped on the job m. The 2 men was taking windows out pretty fast about an hr goes by an I noticed the 1st window the took out in the front didn't have grids which needed it. We told him and so they took the set window out and said there was an extra one in trailer but was smaller but may work..but they are custom made supposedly well they put it in and then all the rest and I noticed at the 2nd story window at the back of the house had grids that wasn't suppose too but me and my wife said oh well we can live with it...but what we realized is the 2nd measurement they scheduled to do isn't honored by the installers they just grab a window and fill the empty hole in the wall so customization goes out the window literally. Around 3:30 we noticed they hadn't started on the new patio door and they were basically done with the widows we asked about it to the lead installer and he said he knew nothing about it that the wearhouse didn't put it on his trailer, and then got aggressive and told my wife that if he comes back tomorrow then he will miss out on a big job...we'll at this point I was at work and my wife told me about it and I called uwd ranch to let them know and apparently while I was on the phone with them his subcontractor boss told him he was gonna have to come back to install the patio door and then he was OK and was calm. Came back the next day and installed it. After they was done we walked through the inside and saw a few badly caulked areas and so I called uwd branch again to let them know and the came out the next day to fix it. The office does their part. We'll 2 weeks went by and we noticed that the 2 locks on on of the downstairs windows said polaris not unishield so I researched and found out uwd unishield windows are polaris windows ( which are good windows) but I just wish I was told.well my wife wanted the locks to march all the other windows especially with what we paid so she called uwd again and the came back out and changed the to the correct lock. Have to say the bright spot in all this is how quickly uwd is on fixing any problem that comes up which gives me some confidence in the unlimited warranty that we bought. I told the manager that the installers was going to hurt there reputation because your windows are only as good as the install. He told me his wife was in labor with complications and he came into work intold him I would have rather they rescheduled my install because 1 the windows came earlier than I expected 2 I'm paying alot of money for it to be done right..however I feel like that wasn't really the reason becuse the guy was mad about not goingnto be able to do a big job the next day, didn't seem like a dude that was worried about a wife an new baby. But all in all I'm somewhat happy with what we bought but I second guess myself alot which isn't a good feeling when you give a company 28000. I wish I would've got quotes from other companies like champion window world and window nation too. Shouldn't have listened to my brother lol.

It didn't start good. Make sure you get a copy from salesperson of job you agreed to. The first day they came for install, the installers did not have all directions that we agreed to when we bought windows. The installers came back to do the install and everything was sorted out. Marvin and Nate were great, very professional. They did a great job. Everything was cleaned up.

Everything was great! The sales rep Chris was informative, knowledgeable and friendly. The workers knew what they were doing, worked quickly and did a fantastic job!

Bob and Eric know what they’re doing. This may have been a “simple” install of just one window but they showed up ready to go, and finished in about an hour.

They were friendly, helpful with info regarding care for the window for the first 24 hours, and left the site cleaned up - you wouldn’t know they were even there except that the NEW window doesn’t show condensation from leaking gaskets.

And I could tell from the way Bob and Eric communicated with each other that they are buds - so there isn’t any of that “office” crap going on.

We have more windows in the near future - hopefully Bob and Eric will handle that install as well.

From meeting with people at Columbus Home and Garden, salesperson Joshua Knolle, and Steve and the installation team, very professional and well knowledgeable. All on time and very helpful.

The two men that installed our windows did a great job. The windows look good and we are pleased with them
