Very professional agents, they are very supportive in whathever kind of need. Moreover, they are really trasparent and respect every aspect presented on the contract.
A special mention to Thomas, one of the agents, who's helped me and attended me while i was getting in troubles with my bank for the wire trasnfer. I suggest everyone to have him as a point of reference in case of issues!!

I rented a apartment with University Housing from abroad without first visiting the place, and I booked it for over a year. You can imagine that I was quite anxious how that would play out. But this was the best abroad experience that I’ve had so far. From the moment they received me at their office to hand me my keys. They where easily reachable for all my questions and inquiries. Very patient staff who go out of their way to make sure that you get the best service. When my contact ended, I could easily get a new accommodation with them and the transition was smooth as well. They are not perfect, mistakes where made but I have to admit that when something happened, they did their best to make it right and I always felt like I was their top priority. Best landlords ever!

Renting one of the apartments from University Housing has been great! The staff are very professional, friendly and make sure that you're taken very good care of. When you go in to get your key, a customer care staff member takes the time to answer any questions that you may have about the property. If I had any problems, then I just had to write an enquiry in the University Housing app about the problem. A University Housing customer care staff member would call me within 24 hours to ask for more details about the problem before sending someone over to fix the problem. They would also follow up afterwards to make sure the problem was fixed. Thank you University Housing for all the effort that you have taken to make sure that my problems were well taken care of and I was taken seriously! Keep up the great work!

Excellent communication and got a very warm welcome

The photos are taken carefully to avoid areas with poor maintenance. When I moved in there were a lot of issues, such as blocked drains and broken parts of furniture/appliances. The quality of the housing seems to be dependent on the condition it was left in by previous tenants, without much effort from the property managers to make sure it is of a high standard. There is a monthly cleaner but the kitchen and bathroom are still really messy and dirty.

Update: After some unpleasant phonecalls with the company I managed to get my lease ended early. Still had to deal with ongoing issues with appliances not working, plumbing issues and issues with cleanliness and privacy. I was far from satisfied with the outcome and my overall experience; I wish I never booked with them in the first place.

PLEASE IGNORE THE REPLY BELOW, IT IS DISHONEST - I ended my lease on very negative terms with this agency (reported them to the Huurteam who found they were overcharging us). They also tried to lie and say they didn't need my permission to enter my room while I wasn't there.

If you talk about quality you talk about University Housing. They are not perfect, but they always find new ways to improve their service to make sure they're clients are happy and comfortable at their place. They communicate well and makes sure you are well taken care of. When situations occur they look for solutions and will help you to their best extend. Good Housing, Good Company of Rent.

This is my 3rd appartment that i'm renting and it only gets better and better.

The studio was in very good condition when arrived. Everything as expected and also very good & smooth communication with universityhousing.
Would recommend to expats looking for an accommodation in Utrecht.

I stayed in a nice studio in Utrecht, which looked exactly as advertised. The studio had all the necessary furniture and utilities I needed. The contact with the company was alright, because they are super friendly. But sometimes it could take a little bit longer for them to reply. Both the check in and check out went fast while everything was clearly explained.

Completely drained of energy trying to communicate with this company. Problem moving in, problem with cleaning (which we paid for but never happened), random strangers entering the apartment. After 2 months of discussions (multiple phone calls, emails) I finally recieved my deposit back. Other students had to take help of debt collector. ..

First of all: they'll refuse to pay you your security deposit back. They'll just ignore your messages and if they respond, they'll pretend to still have to wait for others before they can pay you back, which is not true. If you still decide to rent something from them, send a written letter to them in which you state that they still have to pay you back and that they have 2 weeks left to do so if they don't want to be taken to court and pay for all the additional costs you'll make.

About their responsiveness: after almost a month of sending mails regarding getting my security deposit back, I still have not gotten an answer back from their finance department, which is absolutely ridiculous, because all I need is a yes or no answer so I know whether or not the proof I provided of deregistration is sufficient. They were way quicker in answering all my other questions. I'm seriously considering pressing charges if I still don't have an answer back after a whole month of waiting.

About the quality they deliver: I paid €500 for rent, of which €120 were service costs. After 3 months of my stay, the landlord simply decided to get rid of the washing machine by replacing it with a new one that everyone has to pay €2,50 for (and €1,50 for drying). There was nothing wrong with the previous washing and drying machines, they just wanted to earn more money this way. University Housing did not warn me at all and the service costs even remained the same! Oh, and since they simply removed the washing and drying machines from the kitchen, on top of which stood a microwave, they decided to just leave the microwave on the kitchen floor and deliberately didn't post a picture of this in their advertisements of the rooms in that building. Besides this, even though we had a weekly cleaning service, they never bothered replacing the shower curtains and cleaning the walls, so there was mold everywhere. Speaking of nastiness, there was a mouse problem as well and through the ventilation came all sorts of insects (a wasp managed to come in my room, even though everything was closed off, including the tiny bit of space beneath my door).

The room I rented was €500, right? The room is 10 square metres and the person that will rent the room after me will pay €50 on top of that, even though nothing changes in the service nor the room. It's bizarre.

I wouldn't recommend going in business with them to anyone, even if you're desperate for a room.
