Good company

All experiences so far have been good been dealing with Kris he's honest and will help in anyway he can only say positive things was very nervous but just been put at ease.

Crooks and scumbags!

Crooks. Tried to quote us over £100,000 less than it was values by 3 separate estate agents (9 months ago, if anything the market has gone up since then.) We enquired as it’s looking like our sale was due to collapse and wanted our ducks in a row. Suffice to say, we will not being going with the cash-quick route. DO NOT USE THEM.

In this case, our offer was on the lower side which was a reflection that this was not right type of property for us and which we typically buy. We agree that the cash-buyer route is not best suited for you and will be happy to recommend other local options that can help you get the price you would like.

Our valuations are based on the value that a property will most likely sell for over a given timeframe and local indicators of demand and time to sell. If we do sell it for more than the value we have estimated we will give you the majority of that upside back via a second payment, so you are not left short changed.

Our valuations are not the same as the prices listed on property portals or Estate Agent estimates, which for a number of reasons are often much higher than what the property sells for. For example, some Agents will offer a higher price estimate to try and win an instruction.

Took me 3 days to get a callback after…

Took me 3 days to get a callback after scheduling one, which really wasn't the best considering they advertised a "quick" service. Didn't agree a deal, but Duncan was informative.

Do not use

Do not use unless you want to be spammed.
Asked for a valuation and am now getting constant SPAM emails. The unsubscribe link in the emails does not work. In fact none of the links work. Have tried to contact them by telephone but it says queue too long try again later. Have tried to contact customer support twice by email but have had absolutely no response. Just more SPAM emails.

I wanted to leave positive feedback as the service from the start has been very professional with great communication.

Big kudos to Alex who was extremely helpful. Although the conversation did not result in progressing with a sale, but Alex went over an above to give me options but also provide advice on how I can progress with selling my property.

Would definitely recommend using Upstix as they’ll be honest and help you achieve what you need.

complete lack of response from Upstix

completed the information as Upstix required, they promised to provide an instant valuation which did not happen, then they sent me a couple of automated emails which I responded to, still no response at all from Upstix. I can only review the actual contact I have with them, not what is promised and then not delivered, (EDIT following upstix response) - none of the emails you have sent me have featured a 'range' at all.

Excellent support and advice

The support and advice we received from UPSTIX in negotiating a part exchange deal on our house purchase was excellent both in the valuation of our existing property and advise in negotiating a price for our new home.

Couldn’t offer what we needed but were fantastic to deal with

After having an awful experience with a competitor I tried Upstix. They were so transparent from the start and managed to get me a valuation within hours. I had been left waiting weeks for a competitor to achieve what they had in less than 24 hours.
Kris was really really helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for all your help.

Great Service!

I found upstix simple and transparent on the offer - way better than similar companies. Offer was below what estate agents had said to list it for but if upstix do manage to sell for above what they valued my property then they are willing to give me 80% of anything they made. Great to have a company that isn’t out to screw you!

Honest and transparent

Good service, easy to understand. Enabled the sale within a matter of weeks at albeit lower price than the estate agents had been promising. Transparent, honest and we would recommend.

My worst customer experience - no updates from Upstix

We got in touch with Upstix to sell our house in February 2024 and they responded quite quickly. On Feb 21st, their rep Jeremy gave me his contact details and we had call about the house etc. He said he would email over more details about the upstix process and get back to me about offers from their valuation team.

One month later on 18th March I had received zero communication from upstix so sent a follow up email to Jeremy. This came back with an auto reply that he was on annual leave until the end of February (??) and to contact his associate Kris instead. I sent the same enquiry to Kris.

By April 3rd I had still had no reply from either Kris or Jeremy so I sent a query to "support@upstix*com" asking for an update on our case.

As of May 20th I have still not had a peep out of Upstix!

Can't believe they have been rated so high for customer service when my partner and I can't get a single reply from 4 emails across 3 months!

I have looked at the information that you submitted about the property. It does unfortunately fall outside of the parameters of our current scope for purchases. Therefore we are unable to make an offer for the property.

Your enquiry came at a time when we were making some software changes where an email explaining this should have come out to you but unfortunately that didn't happen.

To not have heard from us in that time is not good enough and I am sorry again that you have had to wait to get a response.

Absolute Disgraceful Company

So, as expected, everything was explained and a valuation was made on my property. 3 estate agents were contacted and all gave very similar valuations which is what i thought the property was valued at anyway so this worked.
Upstix take away their (up to 15%) fee and said they were going to organise a survey.
they contact an estate agent to then organise selling the property (after they buy it from you) who to my surprise, REFUSED to work with Upstix. Major red flag.
they then said they found another estate agent who would list the property but somehow (bare in mind this is one of the agents who originally valued the property for them at the agreed value) said the offer was now £125,000 LESS. Yes...you read that correctly!

Even more interestingly, i then contacted this estate agent to ask what was going on, they said they have never spoken to Upstix about the sale of property and have never made any change in valuation.

BE VERY CAREFUL!

Firstly thank you for taking the time to offer us your feedback.

We did contact two agents one of which attended and one that politely declined, rather than refused to, as their diary was too busy and there was no guarantee of an instruction at the end of it, which is understandable.

Our 'indicative offer' was based on your feedback from an agent or agents that you had to the property previously and was made with the caveat that it would be verified by further agent/agents and a RICS survey.

The agent that attended and gave us their feedback felt that the value of your previous agents was over inflated, possibly in a bid to try and win your business. We had to therefore amend our offer to reflect this change of view, as we aren't able to buy properties where there is a strong likelihood of us losing money on them.

Good luck with selling the property in the future.

Although Upstix could not help me directly they put me in touch with a company that could and then continued to touch base to ensure everything was going well. Above what I expected. Friendly and helpful.

Thanks for taking the time to feedback, our website does explain that our offer is around 15% from the market value that is established from local estate agents and an Independent Royal Institute of Charter Surveyors report.

This is the margin that allows us to give speed and certainty to the vendor avoiding long periods of time on the market and the uncertainty of chains for example on average, 1 in 3 UK house sales cancel before you move.

Our offering isn't for everyone and we do appreciate that, can I wish you all the best with selling your home.

A big thank-you to Jeremy and Team

We worked with Jeremy Bladon at Upstix on the sale of our home to and the simultaneous purchase of our next home from Upstix.

This could have been a rather complex arrangement, but not with Jeremy: we have been so impressed with his dedication and his ability to bring the right people together from different parts of the business to make this happen.

Our circumstances: We are selling our home and buying our next home, and were planning to list in the typical way with high street estate agents. However, the deal Upstix were able to offer us made it an easy choice to move forward with a sale to them.

The Deal: A high street estate agent had advised us that we should list at £195k and expect to sell at £185k - £190k. Although our offer from Upstix did have to be regulated down after survey, this was communicated promptly and clearly by Jeremy and we settled on a sale price of £171k with a £15k reduction from the list price of the home we were purchasing from them. As you can see, it made sense for us to move ahead and skip any potential issues with viewings and chains!

Timeline: Although we weren't in a particular rush, Jeremy has helped us to arrange both a sale and a purchase in less than 2 weeks from our first contact with Upstix. We anticipate exchange of contracts in 3-4 weeks. This has been possible because Jeremy works evenings and weekends and is incredibly responsive.

A big thank you to Jeremy and the team for making our first experience of selling our home so easy!

Kris - a credit to the company

Although the sale itself didn't work out for us due to a change in circumstance, Kris as our personal point of contact was fantastic to deal with throughout, and a credit to both his role and the company itself.

He was quick to communicate, personal and professional throughout even when the sale itself fell through.

Would 100% recommend the company in order to save an onward chain, with a fair offer in comparison to other cash buying companies alongside the profit share element which offered a degree of comfort in a difficult situation!
