Jonny at Upton Wood Flooring could not have been more helpful when we planned to replace a quarry tile floor with engineered oak as part of our kitchen replacement in our old thatched cottage. He listened to our thoughts and offered his own ideas and loaded us up with samples to take home and try out in the kitchen. And by samples I mean square metre sized, not a little off cut, which meant we could really appreciate how the floor would look in the space under different light during the day. Jonny gave great advice on how best to treat the underfloor and the method to securely fit the flooring. He came out to the house twice to even make sure he knew what he was talking about - a round trip of nearly two hours for him - and delivered all the necessary materials exactly when he said he would ready for the builders to fit. Jonny suggested how best to treat the surface of the fitted floor to ensure it will remain durable and good looking for years to come. All in all, the best service anyone could possibly ask for and at prices no more than the online only flooring ‘specialists’ that pop up in a random search. Can’t recommend more highly.

Lovely engineered floor and excellent customer service. I found the perfect flooring for my extension thanks to Jonny who offer to visit me with a great variety of floor samples which were approx 600mm square to have a better feel and view in my home. This gesture made a huge difference as we had bought samples online that were very small and hard to visualise. I was able to keep a couple of samples for a few weeks until we were sure of what we wanted. Will most definitely recommend.

I have only used Upton Wood flooring once and it was 10/10. Went to see Jonny on Monday, placed my order and paid for it, and it arrived on Monday evening about 6pm.Very helpful service by a knowledgeable guy. The engineered flooring I bought is a great product and looks superb, I am fitting it myself. I am a carpenter so I think I would know a good product from a bad one. Very glad I went with him over the DIY brands and other wood flooring imitations that are on the market. I would definateley be going back if I need any flooring.

Excellent from start to finish. The owner, Jonny Allen, went out of his way to understand what we wanted and to find the best solution (a combination of parquet and planks, all stained to the same matching shade). The wood provided was top quality and he was happy to store it until our builders were ready for it. All in all a great supplier who I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We visited the showroom near Henley and found there to be lots of samples and great advice from Jonny. We were able to bring some samples home (big plank size not just small squares ) which was so helpful. The floor we chose ( European engineered Oak) arrived in good time, and we are delighted with it. Jonny was extremely helpful. He seemed to know just about everything there is to know about wood flooring! He went out of his way to help us and made the process quick and easy.

We purchased c.45 sqm of oak flooring for a rear extension from Uptons and found them to be excellent in every respect. Couteous, knowledgeable, did what they said, offered insightful advice, reasonable value even against on-line options, and good after care service. I wholly recommend.

We had never had wooden floors before but a friend recommended Upton Wood Flooring to us and the whole process from choosing from the vast array of wood of products to the fitting could not have been easier. Jonny has excellent knowledge, explains everything clearly and he replies to emails and phone calls quickly (unlike one of the bigger firms that we initially contacted before receiving this recommendation). His fitters were superb too. We are considering having more work done as we are so pleased with our hall and sitting room.
