Account cancellation process

I canceled my subscription on March 19 after achieving my credit goal. During the cancellation call, the representative attempted to persuade me to keep the service and transferred me to a supervisor who also tried to retain my account. I clearly stated multiple times that I wanted to cancel the subscription. I was then informed by the representative that the subscription had been canceled.

On March 26 and again on April 2, the company emailed me stating: “We received a request that you may be looking to cancel your service. The team has been trying to reach you for the past week to get you taken care of.” Despite these emails, there was no option to reply directly to the email, and the company website does not provide an option to cancel online.

Despite canceling my subscription on March 19, the company continued charging my bank account and processed two additional charges after my cancellation request. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and contacted my bank regarding the unauthorized recurring charges. I will also contact the company again and request immediate cancellation confirmation and a refund for the charges made after March 19.

Our records indicate that the payment processed after your cancellation request was not a new subscription charge, but rather an arrears payment for a past-due balance that remained on the account prior to cancellation. Additionally, we have confirmed that this payment was subsequently disputed and charged back through your financial institution.

Because the payment has already been reversed through the chargeback process, there are no funds remaining with our company to refund.

Your account has been marked canceled, and no further recurring billing will occur. We apologize for any confusion caused by the retention follow-up emails you received after your cancellation request, as those communications are automatically generated when an account review is still pending.

Marshall was extremely professional

Marshall was extremely professional. He answered all my questions and guided me and how I can increase my credit score by giving me some pointers on paying off credit cards. Marshall is very friendly and very knowledgeable. Awesome job Marshall. Thank you.

Miracle workers

By hiring people like Lynn this company is showing that they are truly concerned about the customer. People like Lynn who demonstrate great kindness and patience are a pleasure to interact with. There is still much work to be done to correct my current situation but after our phone call I was encouraged to continue the journey. Thank you so much for your help.

When professionalism meets kindness

My partner and I worked with Lynn today and we were quite impressed with her professionalism. She took her time researching and explaining in ways that made sense for us, and was absolutely pleasant to talk to. Highly recommend Lynn to work with if given the opportunity.
