Flew into Fort Lauderdale airport at 5:00 am and took the shuttle bus to car rental center. Told I had to take another shuttle to an off site address. The number for agency was disconnected. Finally at 7:15 the shuttle shows up and drops me off at the agency. The employee was more interested in making her coffee. When she verified my reservation that I paid in advance through a 3rd party. She then informed me they don’t take insurance and I had to buy theirs at $79 dollars a day. I said forget that , asked for my license and cc back. They ended up charging me for the rental and refuse to give me my money back because I didn’t specifically say I want to cancel my reservation. I would highly recommend considering any other agency. I would have given them zero stars but the system won’t let me

What a terrible and expensive mistake to rent from this company!!! I paid £550 for damage/collision insurance. When I returned the car, I was charged £670 for a small scrape on the front bumper. Was not covered under the insurance because it was deemed "reckless driving" by the agent.
They charged extra for EVERYTHING and were rude and uncooperative. This low cost rental ended up being much more expensive than a name brand rental company.

When I arrived at Urent Heathrow, there was a disgruntled customer arguing with the staff. A sign of things to come.
Car was there, I had all my documents including insurance, but their system stated I had no insurance. Dispite me proving otherwise, arguing with them, they wouldn't release the car without me paying an extra £784. After many phone calls in the following days (no one answer the phone 70% of the time as the phone is in the Urent office but the staff sit in the Surprice office next door) a manager advised me to take it up with my booking agent. Urent refused to reimburse the money. On delivering the car back, their was another disgruntled female Canadian customer arguing with the staff. 2 unhappy customers in a row. The staff, despite seeing I had insurance also refused to send the money back and even had no record of me on their system or hiring a car, they even had the wrong name. Eventually leaving Urent Heathrow very disapointed, tired and fed up. Urent is a company well connected with Surprice, they share office, staff and emails (they use gmail.com emails for professional touch) . Surprice is rated 1 star on Trustpilot and people should know Urent is just another name for this unprofessional, cowboy car hire company and to stay clear.

Really easy collection, great service, amazing staff and the fact that it’s barely 20 steps away from Arrivals in the South Terminal is just the cherry on top.

The staff informed me that there are more choices on cars to come and I am really excited to see what I will get next time.

I flew from Boston and was the first customer at this location. Thushan, Ahilan and Sadan did a great job with the car rental process, and assisting me when I got a flat tire 85 miles from the city. All in all, highly recommended, if you are looking for a convineant way to rent out of the Gatwick Airport. Their auto selection is also superior to other name brands at that location. And you can rent right from the terminal itself.
