Beware…

We had USA Insulation insulate our home. When they insulated the attic, the boy did not install the baffles and the blown in insulation filled the soffit around the roof blocking the air flow. Now we have mold in our attic and remediation is quite expensive. Even worse, the company refuses to return our calls. I will be seeking legal advise.

The crew was exceptional

The crew was exceptional. They arrived on time and went to work immediately. The entire insulation process was explained to me. I was abled to ask question and observe the process. The entire staff was very hospitable. The young men were very hardworking and committed to the job. When the job was finished, the crew thoroughly cleaned up the area. I highly recommend this company to anyone requiring building insulation. Superior Work!

USA Insulation of New England

We called USA Insulation of New England to add some sound deadening to a shared wall in two of our apartments above our detached garage. On the day of install, all was going well until my husband and the installers heard a loud pop. Unable to determine the source, they continued blowing in the insulation in the rest of the bays between the studs. Later that evening my husband discovered a huge mound of the sprayfoam up in the attic. We noticed a strong pungent smell. Days turned into weeks and now over a month with many attempts at remediation. The additional cost we had to incur in buying two air purifiers and losing rent for a month (our tenant needed to leave because the smell was too overwhelming.) And now we don’t know when it will be able to be rented by new tenants. In addition, we needed to call back the USA Insulation team for cleanup. So apparently there is a dedicated team to do that, which makes us think this is a common problem??
We were told by the sales rep at the initial consultation that any smell would be negligible and would dissipate within a few days (we're at the 5 week mark and still smelling the odor, although it is slowly getting better after running air purifiers, dehumidifiers, opening windows, running fans, heating and cooling the apartments). We do not recommend this company and product to anyone. We regret having this done. It has cost us way too much! Initially, (pre-sale and pre-application) their communication and people were very nice but the final result overshadows our "satisfaction". Additional texts and voice messages to the company have not been acknowledged nor returned.

Product doesn't work; extremely poor customer service

The product doesn't work. My house has been chilled all winter. Customer service has been extremely poor. Nobody returns my phone calls and they have missed 3 appointments to discuss my concerns. No regional manager or owner has reached out to me proactively, nor has he yet returned my calls.

USA Insulation - not recommended

In May, USA Insulation applied insulation to our attic. The company had come out the week prior to perform an inspection of our home (including a visual inspection of our attic by USA Insulation team) and advise on recommendations for insulation. The insulation was sprayed into our attic and immediately afterwards we noticed a hole in our bedroom ceiling that occurred during the insulation process - this was not mentioned to us by the team while they were installing. More importantly, we immediately noticed 50% of our electrical outlets were no longer working - this occurred immediately after the insulation. We called USA Insulation immediately and were told to call our electrician. Our electrician came out and notified us the electrical system was damaged in the attic and USA insulation applied incompatible insulation to our active knob and wire tubing electrical system which created a fire hazard and needed to be re-wired. During initial consult and insulation process we were never asked about our electrical system or advised it could be incompatible with their insulation. They visually inspected the space and said there were no concerns. We then paid $15000 to re-wire the home for safety and $4200 to repair holes in wall/repaint walls for electrical work. I have outreached to the company through calls/emails 38 times from May 2024 - October 2024 with varying responses. We were initially told to re-wire the home and send USA Insulation the bill, after we did, we were told they were "sorry" and if they knew the knob and wire tubing was active they would not have applied the insulation. They said despite this they are not responsible and would not provide any type of reimbursement. Management very avoidant, difficult to speak with upper management despite numerous requests. Spoke with Karissa Hebert (office manager) - would not let me speak with anyone higher until after 32 attempts, then spoke with "Matt Smith" on 10/18/24 who stated it is not their policy to apply insulation over live knob and wire tubing and if he knew about the issue sooner they would have removed the insulation immediately. I had requested to speak with the next level of management on at least 16 phone calls with the office manager Karissa Hebert between May-October 2024 - who repeatedly told me she will "bring this to leadership" "we have a leadership meeting next week to discuss this." Matt called me back on 10/18/24 less than 1 hour later stating he was so concerned he called "the CEO" of the company immediately to let them know of the issues we have been having and the concern for improper insulation in our home. I spoke with him several times, requested multiple times to speak with someone higher in the company but never provided any contact information. "Matt Smith" He reported he appreciated speaking with me and this situation will be used to change their policies, but they couldn't provide us with any type of reimbursement because they "are not at fault" and "it's an election year, we don't have the funds" even if through their own negligence. Interestingly on their social media they boast about all the money they donate and their fancy Tesla Cybertruck wrapped in USA Insulation advertisements but they can't provide any sort of reimbursement to us even though the company admitted that they installed incompatible insulation over our electrical system causing extensive damage. We also had to go 2.5 weeks with only being able to use 50% of our electricity related to the damage... in the summer and it wasn't safe to use our AC until the home was repaired. We are very disappointed in the way the company handled the situation and the lack of transparency, amount of outreach attempts I had to make to get any type of information. "Matt Smith" also reported he would send out a team to check our insulation after the re-wiring and add additional insulation as I reported concern that during the re-wiring process this created many holes in our ceiling causing a lot of the insulation to fall out of the ceiling. "Matt Smith" never sent anyone and stopped responding to me. I'm concerned how many other homes may be in this same situation and not even know. Had they not directly damaged the electrical system, we may not have known the dangers of the insulation on our electrical system - which is a fire risk and against current building codes.

USA Insulation

We had USA Insulation out November 2021. We weren't impressed with the workmanship, nor the results. They did come out and say we had "leakage" around some of the windows. I had the windows replace about a month later, and still saw no difference in my heating bill. It has not gone down, nor stayed at an acceptable amount for the amount of work that was "suppose" to have been done.
Our house is still "cold" or has a nice "chill" to it so the insulation does not help.
I would not recommend them to anyone. Unfortunately, I can't list date of experience over a year old, which is why I listed the date below, but the information is still correct and the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired
USA Insulation did come back and redo the house, but not in it's entirety. The company claimed the other workers didn't do the job properly, with which I agreed. Upon USAA insulation redoing the house we still have two major cold spots, under the plant window in the living room and under the window in the master bedroom, which would indicate these areas were never addressed. I couldn't recomend them to anyone because of the lack of quality workmanship and for not doing what they were paid for. I had to update the date from the original date as well as date was redone since review can't be more than 12 months old, so date is not accurate, but review is.
