It's absolutely scam
They did it again. I logged in half an hour early, and I know they can verify that, but they wouldn't let me buy it. They forced me to log in at 12:02 and made me wait 16 minutes, and when I finally got in, the product was gone. It's a total scam. Well, I'm not even going to bother trying again. This is the third time they've done this to me; now I know it's a private sale for people in the business.
This is outrageous

Cost for 2026 eagle proof went from $95.00 in 2025 to $173.00
I am questioning my decision to collect
Never received US Navy Commemorative coin
I am a Navy veteran and put a reminder to purchase the commemorative US Navy Silver Eagle on 10/10. I logged in after waiting in the lobby due to high traffice. And I placed my order. I even placed an order for my newphew. The order was never recorded and I am now without a commemorative coin. This is shameful. I have purchased from the US Mint in the past. But this is inexusable because it's limited addition. And their customer service didn't have options and they were certainly not sympathetic. That's our goverment works for us.
The fact that I lost the money..
The fact that I lost the money I had worked so hard to earn to them swiftly and without getting any feedback or a response to my letters means that using this service has unavoidably cost me a lot. Before the well-known company 𝐺𝑎𝑎𝑟𝐷 𝑖𝑜 intervened, the situation was terrible; only then did THEY ACTUALLY SAVE MY BAD ASS. I love 𝐺𝑎𝑎𝑟𝐷 𝑖𝑜

I was recently lucky enough to have the chance to order the 2025 proof silver American Eagle with the US Army 250 anniversary privy mark and these idiots simply put it in a box put a shipping label on the box and sent it without even bothering to put any tape whatsoever to secure the coin from getting lost. The post office marked the box received without contents and received unsealed there are absolutely no markings whatsoever on the box where any tape was ever applied and it appears I'm out the coin as I'm sure they are sold out. Totally unacceptable and totally incompetent on their part
Website and customer service provide no service
I had to place two separate orders and paying for overnight delivery on both orders because of their system would not allow everything to go on one order. The next day I logged in to confirm that they were shipped overnight as I paid, did you find that my second order was canceled. Nobody could give me a good explanation on why and even though the money was already taken from my card that I used they said that I would have to assuming another order and pay it all over again and the other charge should just drop off. I had to speak to One customer service rep and two managers and each one was telling a different story of why and how and when and who... All I can say is purchase at your own risk and when you get your coins if you're a beginner have them verified with an appraiser or a coin expert. Because this company seems to like to pull some shady stuff...

I have been a long time customer of the US mint and today I cannot log in. I keep getting a message saying my password is incorrect. I follow the link to reset my password, change my password and log in again and get the same message. I tried to email the mint through their contact us link and I got a message back that the sublink is not valid for the mints directory. I hope this isn't a farewell as I hoped to be a customer for some time to come.

The us mint has terrible unsatisfactory customer service. My order was not scanned at the post office for delivery, it was a Christmas gift I ordered for my 11 year old nephew.Ordered on Oct.25th . Now they say I have to wait 4-6 weeks for a refund . How do I explain this to a 11 year old that had his heart set on this Christmas gift . This is not the first time they have made mistakes.I urge people not to have trust in this failed government organization. If you want to experience failure order from them . Warned !!!!!

I purchased the flowing hair anniversary silver round and paid for NEXT DAY AIR, and the mint wasn't capable enough to get my premium shipped item to the post office.
They said "Oh no worries, we'll refund you in a couple of months" on a coin that's sold out and already selling for double what I paid.
I AM SO SICK OF THEIR UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Quality Control and Customer Service sadly lacking.
Purchased a 5 coin PROOF American Eagle set some time ago (4 gold & 1 Silver). 2 of 5 graded PF-70 by NGC. 3 of 5 graded PF-69 by NGC. Sent letter and pictures of "dings" on the 3 coins to US MINT customer service and their reply to me was to contact my elected representative as the US MINT is governed under federal laws and regulations, this from their reply: "The United States Mint administers all coin programs according to legislation enacted by Congress and signed into law by the President. The United States Mint must adhere to legislative specifications on coin subject, design, metal composition and production.
Because changes to the current laws governing United States coinage would require congressional approval, you may contact your U.S. Senator or U.S. House of Representatives member directly to express your concerns and ideas. See
Legislation"
So I sent a letter the my representatives. Kind of a convoluted way for process improvement.
I get nothing is 100% error free, but for the price you pay for PROOF coins, sometimes a thousand or more USD over spot in the case of gold, and the fact the US MINT states on their web these coins are individually handled and processed, one would expect less dents, scuffs, scratches and the like on their proof coins.
Same as above for 2024 W EAGLE S$1 NGC PF 69 ULTRA CAMEO
and
2023 P SILVER 1OZ MEDAL .999 FINE NGC PF 69 ULTRA CAMEO
3 star rating instead of 1 star because 1/2 of this is on me - I did not catch errors within 7 day window for returns.
Also, one or more negative reviews here on Trustpilot concern usagovmint.com, so the US MINT (.gov) has some extra negative reviews here that should not have been attributed to them.
In closing, some responses to my emails have been canned and had nothing to do with the question I asked of them.
Excellent customer service and delivery at US Mint
Dear US Mint !
I want to give US Mint webshop 5 stars for excellent customer service and delivery to me in Viborg, Denmark via UPS transport company.
The webshop has both cheap coins and coins with price about USD 3,000.
I think I will buy many coins etc. at US Mint in the future.
Best wishes
Frank Pedersen
Viborg, Denmark.
Fraudulent company IMHO
Ordered 10 coins in mid-November 2022 from usagovmint.com. Charged my credit card. Then they tried to double the cost of the coins. So I had to cancel. But they didn't respond whatsoever. Finally, after the expected shipment date of arrival, then sent a note stating the order was cancelled. BUT NO REFUND TO DATE and no response. Had to report them as fraudulent to Citi Bank. DO NOT TRADE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!
Happy 20+ year customer!
It is hard to get new coins on the first release day. But have I ever been ripped off? Never in over 20 years as a customer. I always received what I paid for, timely, and never returned any coins. It is frustrating when the site crashes. They are improving this—slowly. But they are not ripping anyone off. No way.
What a F**KING JOKE!!!
3 new product releases in a row
I had them in my bag and clicked checkout
CRASH!!!
Then I couldn’t get back in for hours. And when I finally could - sold out.
This is complete BS!!!
And if you call to complain - it’s always YOUR fault
Fix your crap!!!
No longer trust them
No longer trust them. Aside from bots buying up coins minutes after release my account was breached and unauthorized changes made to it. Even with an extremely strong password this still happened. It is quite clear they have massive security issues protectting customers data. As soon as changes were made to my account I did get a standard security email alert and immedietely called the Mint and ordered my entire account purged and wiped clean and flag as hacked. And they did so and alertted their security so I give some credit on that.
They need to do a top-down thorough review of security before I ever do business with them ever again.
Horrible website and lousy customer service
This organisation is the worst federal agency I have ever seen. Completely incompetent staff. When you attempt to purchase a high demand item the site crashes when you attempt to checkout after all the information is entered and you hit purchase. After a few minutes of this everything has been sold to the scalpers. Creating an account is also useless as it still crashes during checkout. They need to fire the entire staff and hire a couple of sixth graders to fix their website. I did manage to make one purchase, only to receive an email a few weeks later that they were cancelling the order unless I contacted customer service within 48 hours. That was a waste of time. After 15 tries I got through and was put on hold for two hours before they disconnected me. I am contacting the relevant congressional oversight committees to see if they can motivate them to improve, or fire the whole bunch.
The US Mint needs a complete OVERHAUL!
The US Mint needs to be completely OVERHAULED, gutted of all employees and "management" and rebuilt for the modern era. Their antiquated and outdated systems that allow for BOTS to purchase all inventory seconds after a product goes live, needs to be addressed first and foremost. Next their antiquated payment system and outdated policies around orders, need to be updated to the 21st Century and take into account the fact that most users will have their credit card info stolen in some breach by soulless hackers and their credit cards will be cancelled. They need to have a mechanism in place to allow for the updating of payment information, especially on products that will not be released again. I fought hard to get an order placed only to be told, after my CC had to be cancelled, that my order will be cancelled if the CC used 5-6 months earlier to order the item, isn't available. This is in direct reference to the 2021 "CC" and "O" Morgan Silver Dollars that will not ship until October. But somehow they can't find a way to update my payment information in the 5+ months it's going to take them to punch and eventually ship those coins? It's unacceptable business practices like this that are fueling the hostility, hatred and resentment towards the US Mint. Unless we voice our concerns and complaints, nothing will change and may only get worse.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue nor the only one this issue has ever affected, but I'm sure as hell not going to sit quietly by while they blatantly cancel my order when all they need to do is update the payment info from the very account they were ordered through. If that is a problem, if the system they use is incapable of such a mundane task, then yes, the whole system needs to be gutted and rebuilt. Just because you're a government entity doesn't mean you can treat customer like crap and get away with it.
