I have had the pleasure of dealing with…

I have had the pleasure of dealing with this complete muppet show of a collections company, chasing me for a debt on behalf of Ecotricity... who are another s**t show of a company, for a debt that is not owed and was never a debt because all of the meter readings were estimated and not actual meter readings. Anyway... these clowns at Utility Collections Ltd are still threatening me with bogus Field Agents and the commencement of mickey mouse disconnection proceedings when the account was settled in full 2 weeks ago! They now insist that I send them a remittance for the payment that was sent directly by bank transfer to their client, although it is their client who can not be bothered to update them that the payment was made on the 26/02/26... you can't make it up... even the Chuckle Brothers were more organised that these absolute bewts!!!

A very cheating utlity collection

A very cheating utlity collection agency. One of the agent called LAUREN HARDMAN is extremely rude and she had promised me to make 40% of the payment now and then she is going to make the balance 11 weeks instalment. I arrange the payment and paid it, after 4 days she sent agents to disconnect the electricity. Very rude agents and would highly not recommended these people.

Do not Trust to do the right thing

Started well with a guy that explained how the bill went up to 800+ due to no DD set up ( this was due to us not knowing of a switch or contract to another electrical company by EcoSave & YPG.) Asked for copy of contract including terms/conditions, and the cost of early termination if the contract is established. NOTHING! and now their company customer line has a not connected ring to it and no email response.
YPG - says deal with them and EcoSave says email complaints. This is a company that sells the service of Resolving utility issues - but they Resolve nothing but put another upsetting layer to my Vulnerable 80+ parents to deal with.

Cowboys in Suits

Cowboys in Suits. 100% absolutely useless. Staff within the organisation do not talk to each other. Case was being handled by one person who was discussing payment plan with energy provider, albeit he didnt actually provide the proposed plan to the provider. Left me a voicemail saying he would be in contact - next thing i receive an email from Molly-Mae Honeysett saying they are applying for a Rights of Entry Warrant. She admitted there was a delay in relating information due to a 'cross over in the account management' resulting in £700+ fees being added. She doesn't respond to emails about what the weekly plan is and days later states full balance now due. Fortunately i got more sense going to the Energy provider direct who offered better terms.

Threats , Intimidation and Harassment

My company occupied a small commercial property in June 2023 and vacated in Oct 2024

A family members business took over the property and my company occupied a larger property on the estate

During our occupation we never received any electricity invoices and out usage was minimal as it was a storage area

On 6th December 2024 Utility Collections contacted myself and I explained that we have never received any invoices etc and I was sent a statement and copy invoices totaling £601.32

I said we pay the account in our December payment run

However after consultation as the account was estimated we have no record of what the actual account would be ?

Utility Collections persisted in making threats and multiple harassment calls and even threatening the family member who had taken on the property

I paid the account in full on 9th Jan from the passenger seat of a car and they charged me £644.00

At no time was there any agreement for additional charges or explanation for why ?

Luckily I paid using my Company Visa card and will be reporting a fraudulent transaction on Monday

Unprofessional, threats and harassment companies like this should not be allowed to operate in the UK

Not the smartest company

After a horrendous customer experience with Pozitive Energy who incorrectly billed by company, followed by an Energy Ombudsman ruling in my favour, Pozitive Energy decided to instruct Utility Collections to collect a non-existent debt. Utility Collections were aggressive and unprofessional and threatened me with legal action before eventually backing down and agreeing I was correct. Utility Collections tried to collect a debt that didn't exist in the first place, which made them look pretty stupid, wasted my time, and caused me a great deal of frustration.
