I had an account with a company that utmost has aquired. The service from this company was very slow, so i initiated a move. When Utmost bought this company, I decided to complete the move anyway. My account is under Norwegian Law and I am allowed to transfer my assets rather than cash. This removes a big market risk, and at a time with a US president creating market volatility I wanted to transfer my assetts rather than cash. Utmost can do so, but refuses to do so based on company policy. I therefore asked how long the transfer of cash would take, and the answer in writing was up to a month. As the market risk in this operation is currently high - I am staying with Utmost for the time being. But I am not impressed. Will leave as soon as conditions allow. I have read many of the reviews on this site. Utmost has been polite and responded quickly to my questions. This is where the positive reviews lie. When it comes to the important issues that materially affect wealth the experiences are in my opinion predominantly poor . As is my experience . Beware!!!

Called out to Utmost late afternoon 13 April to obtain some important bond withdrawal information and Megan Laverty took my call. Megan highlighted the info cannot be provided telephonically due to calculations involved and explained we should have the info withing 48 hours. Refreshing to find the mail first thing in my in box next morning...great service.

Whilst I received an automated "we have received your email" reply immediately, it took 11 days before I had an email from your customer support team, which is far too long. By then, I'd long managed to fix the problem that I'd been having. So even three stars is possibly generous.

My Cousin , called Roger B**** has now written twice to Upmost to find out about how he can withdraw his money. The latest letter was received on the 20th March 2026 by Upmost. He is 71 years old and now wants to spend this money but Upmost haven’t responded as of 9th April 2026. So we are now forced to ring them in the Isle of Man, which isn’t covered by most phone services in the UK. Wake up Upmost, these older guys now want to spend their money. Why are you delaying things. Really you should be ashamed of yourself
