So I think it took way too much time for me to receive my mask from this company. I wasnt too jazzed about that. However I do think this is a good mask and now that Delta is driving up cases again I think I'll be using it for a long time.

This is a scam - UVMask and Kickstarter should be held accountable for this total fraud and exploiting the public during a health crisis

This is a scam. Waited close to 2 years to get 3 masks and still nothing. They even charged me extra for shipping and accessories several months ago but nothing was ever sent. Customer service responses are sparse but keep making promises they fail on over and over again. I need a full refund, this is not a true project it is a scam praying on people in a crisis. Shame on you and Kickstarter for allowing companies like this to defraud consumers

Still waiting for a refund

Still waiting for a refund. These people are clearly not willing to be honest or trustworthy, that’s funny given that the product is one that you need to have trust in.

Personally I think they should be avoided at all cost

UM Systems not perfect

UM Systems hasn’t been perfect in their delivery. But it’s a pandemic, who has been perfect? Seems a little unfair to attack a company that probably has had its work cut out for it. I got my mask and it’s a good mask. I’m good.

THIEVES

I spend my money jully 20, to get my mask in October 20. Still haven't nothing. I paid for mask and accessories, nearly 200$, I send emails to be repaid and they never give an answer, even after 4 months... "Thieves" is the only correct word to describe them.

False promises

First it was marketed as Made in Japan, false. Then because of its unique UV light filter, it's supposed to kill bacteria, viruses in the air, never got approval for that. It weighs so much that the straps break and the construction is so bad the silicone seal falls off when the mask is removed. The pump is so bad it's hard to breath. The red flag should have been their fake office address in the US. Never got my refund

Very dishonest company and unsafe product

Company offered a "30 day satisfaction guarantee" in their Kickstarter campaign so I figured it was worth the risk to get on board, even though it was their first project. Once I had the product in hand I found that it did not seal properly, the filters would deform/dislodge due to the extreme pressure in the mask, it was incredibly difficult to breathe in the mask and it weighed over twice what it was marketed to be. With all these problems I attempted to return it and never got a response. On the KS project comments section you can see many, many denials by UM Systems (uvmask.com) to honor their guarantee. I would stay very far away from this company as they do not offer a functional or safe product and do not stand by their own guarantees.

Unusable.

I paid for my mask in July 2020 and have still not received it. BUT a friend got his gave it to me because it didn't fit his large features - even the large size. (I never thought he had a big nose.) He gave me a large and a small. I put the product together, charged it up and found it unusable. With the filters in it felt like I was breathing through a straw. I had to labor to breath. The fan comes in two speeds: loud and louder. I measured it with an app I have. The louder speed was 50 decibels. Very distracting. Thirdly, and this is the showstopper, I can't be heard at all though it. Even in a quiet country house, my wife was unable to understand anything I said, even with the fan off.

AND I still haven't gotten MY mask.

This whole transaction has been completely disappointing. And it's sad because something like this product would be really useful until the pandemic is fully under control.

Complete Scam

Oh wow, are these people scamming the public! They have delivered nothing. In almost a year! I don't care that it was a Kickstarter project, they took my money in exchange for a mask. It took so long, I contacted them and told them I was moving, and wanted to change my address. They asked me to email it. I did so, and later they claimed that email was not a good way to get information to them! They then sent the mask to my old address, and now want me to pay postage to have it "re" delivered to my new address. Many people have received nothing, or received a very shoddy product. Do not waste your money.

"There are several other red flags about Measure, Inc.:

Measure, Inc. does not appear to have any operating office in the U.S., as the UVMask Kickstarter campaign claims. Measure, Inc’s USPTO trademark application lists its address as 30 South 18th Avenue, Brighton, Colorado. However, according to Google Maps, this address doesn’t exist.

The U.S. phone number for Measure, Inc. goes to the law office of Jeff Levy, a lawyer based in Toronto, Canada, who is listed as Measure Inc.’s attorney. This is probably a law office that worked on the company’s registration.

UM Systems is not registered as a company in Colorado or in Delaware (where many U.S. companies are incorporated). There is no evidence that UM Systems is registered as a company in the US at all.
It seems unlikely that UM Systems was founded in 2016, as it claims.

The company’s domain, um.systems, was not registered until March 2020.
Trademarks for UM Systems, its products, and technology, were not registered until July 2020, according to the United States Patent and Trade Office (USPTO).

UM Systems’ CEO, Boz Zou, claims that he has been at the company since 2016 on his LinkedIn profile. However, Boz’s Twitter account makes no mention of UM Systems until June 2020. Instead, Boz’s Tweets since 2016 mostly include news about Bitcoin.
Boz’ Tweets in 2018 also link to several articles (many self-published) that say Boz works for different companies including Thingfy, Health Wallace, and his own company BOZ UX. I find it unlikely that Boz would be the CEO of a company for four years, yet make no mention of it.

Measure, Inc. is registered as a business in Colorado. The Registered Agent for the company is Panfeng Xiang, who is also listed as a founder on Measure, Inc’s website. However, the address for the company, 1130 7th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631, is a self-storage company that is most likely just used to collect mail."

A bunch of scammers!!!

This company is a sham and nothing but a scam. They have swindled millions from multiple "crowd sourcing" platforms and have failed on multiple levels. First they did not meet any of their advertised deadlines. Second they would not honor requests for refunds after months of failed deadlines and no product ever being delivered. For those that did get a product it was unusable and a safety hazard in itself. Chinese based company posing as an American company to scam people worldwide. Stay away and do not buy any product from them or any other associated companies. Had to file numerous complaints with various government entities..such as as the Better Business Bureau.

Horrible products, horrible company do not buy anything from them. They repeatedly lied about the product they marketed, they covered up issues with the mask and then they refused to honor the 30 day guarantee. The mask that they created are trash and are not even usable.

Fraudulent. Do not buy.

I wanted it to be great! It seemed great. The videos and documentation seemed legit.

Alas it was not.

It took months and months to arrive.
When it did, the product was like a parody of what I was promised.

A teeny tiny stiff mask arrived. The fan sounded like a dollar store fan on its last legs. I couldn’t speak though it because I couldn’t open my mouth without jostling the entire mask around the thick mask and useless air circulation and filter system simply did not work.

On top of it all, I couldn’t breath.
I’m an endurance athlete, I have great lung function. I wear KN95 masks all day at work. I’ve worn the best and crappiest masks through the pandemic.
This was like strapping a coffee mug to my face with flimsy silicone straps and trying to draw breath through a couch cushion behind a screen door.

Don’t buy this.
There are support groups on Facebook dedicated to helping people get a refund through various channels.
This company guaranteed satisfaction and then reneged and changed their fine print. They won’t honour refunds unless product is returned unopened in original factory packaging and try to get people to agree to that just to access the return portion of their website.

Trust me
This isn’t just a mask that didn’t fit me properly that I’m mad about.
This is NOTHING like what was described on the websites and crowdfunding sites.

This mask wouldn’t even work for sawdust.

My visa has issued a chargeback for me with no issue because what I was sold wasn’t what I was promised.
