very poor aftersales even with gold package

We purchased a brake tester two years ago now, the tester has had multiple failures during this period. we pay the top standard maintenance package (definately do not purchase this). we call for breakdown and get no replys until we chase it days later. They have sent parts and asked us to repair ourselves. we are a busy brake testing lane and rely on this for mot standards. very disappointed. would not purchase again from VTech.

I would like to share my experience of V- Tech.

I would like to share my experience using V-Tech, I was in a bit of a pickle with one of my machines, Simon their engineer came out trying valiantly to repair on site but unfortunately could not achieve the result, so rather than wasting time getting the faulty component delivered back to the workshops he asked if he could take it home and get the parts delivered so he could repair it at home which saved possibly 3 days, he returned on a Saturday morning refitted the fully repaired unit and we are back fully functioning, plus on checking the unit he said the parts were covered under a 5-year warranty I had totally forgotten about. So a massive thank you from me and my team I would highly recommend their equipment (With warranty )and their after sales support. Thanks again V-Tech and Simon especially.

A brilliant family run business!

This family run business provided outstanding service for our family today. Our son’s VW Sharan broke down while on holiday with family from Germany. V Tech repaired the car and had it back on the road with a replacement clutch within a day at very short notice. No other local garage could match this service. We are most grateful for their friendly professionalism and would recommend them with total confidence.

Absolutely Awful

First 2 post ramp we had installed was faulty and both arms didnt synchronise. After months and months of complaining and trying to arrange an alternative, they finally installed replacement ramp. Replacement ramp was then not installed correctly, not wired up to work (bare wires left loose) and old ramp left in middle of workshop to be taken away at a later date. Replacement ramp was miserably slow when we finally managed to get it working. Arms on either posts did not synchronize, operation light was broken during installation and zip tied back on! It made awful noises when being raised, V-tech told us this was normal and to let it settle in. You could visibly see the car dropping on one particular side (V-tech told us to hold the car on the safety latch, which you should only use as a back up) We finally had old ramp removed (months later) After several phone calls to V-tech regarding our concerns and getting less than helpful responses (or mainly no responses at all) we stopped using the ramp deciding that it was definately not safe. We informed V-tech that we wanted a refund and would go elsewhere, they said they would get back to us. Losing nearly 2 months worth of business on our main ramp, still no contact from V-tech. One of our technicians leant up against the ramp one day and noticed that the bolts holding the ramp in place where coming out of the floor making the post lean quite dramatically with only the weight of a person leaning against it!!! We immediately contacted V-tech again to inform them of this further issue and stating that we want the ramp removed and full refund so we can get a safe lift installed and start making some money again. They have now refused, based on the fact that the initial purchase date was 2 years ago, despite all of the delays and faults coming from their side. I would not use this company again, they dont get back to you and leave you with faulty equipment that could quite easily have caused a death or two
