Lack of Proper Bear Safety Measures

I would like to formally express my disappointment regarding our recent stay at your property.

We rented the house for three nights, hoping to enjoy a peaceful mountain getaway and celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, the experience was seriously affected by repeated bear incidents on the property. On two separate nights, a bear came directly onto the property, destroyed the garbage bins, scattered trash everywhere, and growled very close to the house.

We followed all house rules carefully and never left garbage outside the containers. We even used our own zip ties in an attempt to secure the bins, although it should not be the responsibility of renters to bring locks or additional safety equipment with them. In an area where bear activity is clearly frequent and well known, the property owner or management company should provide proper bear-proof garbage containers and clear safety instructions for guests.

After the incidents, we cleaned the area as much as we safely could.

I understand that wildlife is part of staying in the mountains, but guests should be properly warned and protected from situations that feel unsafe and stressful. Instead of relaxing and enjoying an important personal trip, I spent a large part of the stay anxious and uncomfortable.

The property itself was nice and pretty clean, but the overall experience and my birthday trip were significantly spoiled by the lack of proper precautions regarding known bear activity.

I hope they will take this issue seriously and improve safety measures for future guests

This home is located in a wooded mountain area where wildlife encounters can occasionally happen and are unfortunately outside of our control. We do provide signage inside and outside the home to make guests aware of possible bear activity. The property does have a bear-proof trash container, although bears can sometimes still get into them. We also discovered a standard black trash can had been left out when it should not have been, and we will be removing it. We appreciate that you followed the house rules and took precautions during your stay, and we are sorry this situation caused stress and discomfort during your trip.

Bay Watch Resort

The resort home on the 10th floor was very nice and clean when we arrived. Awesome beach front view. Easy in and out. No walking steps. Easy access to the beach. Will be staying there again whenever we go back,

I loved everything about this condo

I loved everything about this condo. It was so nice and the staff was so friendly. The only thing I didn’t like was that it smelled like sewage at the pool area. It was awful.

We are homeowners who had Vacasa as our…

We are homeowners who had Vacasa as our property management company for 3 years. This company has very high staff turnover, ridiculous fees, a top heavy administrative structure that ignores the importance of qualified staff doing the actual work in the field. Our house was left dirty after cleanings including supervisor “inspections”. Broken, lost, stolen, and disappeared items and bedding etc was never found by staff so was difficult to get replaced or reimbursed despite double insurance. (Our homeowners policy plus their mandated policy which we had to pay extra for) . The list of their failures and frustrations willfully inflicted on homeowners they essentially borrow space from to benefit 3 fold in hidden costs is literally disgusting. Cleaners spent 30-45 minutes “cleaning” a 3 bedroom home. 2 people can’t clean a house and change 5 beds in half hour let alone check if things have been broken, damaged, or stolen. Any on line or office staff say all the right words and do absolutely nothing.

Slow/ no response.

A storm came through on wednesday night.
It knocked out our refrigerator and hot water heater.

We called, but they did not send anyone out.

We were without cold storage or the ability to clean dishes, and ourselves, for the last two days of our stay.

A Place That Has It All

From the first moment after opening the door, we loved the warm, welcoming feel of Sara’s Place. The furnishings are lovely, bedrooms are bright from windows and doors that lead out to balconies. The master bath is modern and classy. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The balconies overlook both the lake and the walkway around the lake. In the evenings, the walkway is busy with walkers, joggers and families as well as dogs of all sizes and shapes. We look forward to returning to see more of the National Park and to enjoy the hospitality of Sara’s Place.

Do Not Let Them Manage Your Property

Vacasa managed my vacation rental (a newer townhome just off the beach) for two years in Florida. Worst experience I've had; actually caused me to sell it once I became so fed up with their management. They didn't cover my mortgage, took terrible care of it, and when they turned it back over to me I found cockroaches in the bathroom, burnt out bulbs, and multiple broken items.

I rented a condo at Yacht Club Villas

I rented a condo at Yacht Club Villas . I accidentally left my wife's medicine in the room we slept in. Also some cash was in the bag. I contacted Vacasa to help me. They only gave me the run around. I contacted them and the Person I spoke with told me they would check into know one brother to contact me back. It was full of my Wife Cancer treatment medicines. She really needs it. I will not rent through them again. They are very messy.

Clean room with privacy for multiple…

Clean room with privacy for multiple guests to sleep having doors that close off both sleeping areas. Bedroom with 2 queen beds & LR with Murphy & sleeper sofa. Jetted tub in bath/shower combo.
Residents in next room very loud with doors slamming that were shockingly loud & laughter & foul, hateful language.Aso they smoked on the balcony causing us to not use ours during those times.Not the owners fault or responsibility but soundproofing would help the noise although it probably couldn't have in our case
