Have you tried calling this Council?Was on hold for 15mins 23 seconds they answered, I only want to check an email address for Head of Legal. operator put me on hold and the call cut out.

I called back on a different number this time for Democratic Services. This time on hold no reply automated 15 minutes and 24 seconds. No answer at all.

All this just to try and find an accurate email address so I can inform the Head of Legal Victoria Davidson, we are going back to Court.

Vale of Glamorgan Council are, I assert, thee worst public service body in the entire UK!. They run the council lie a business, NOT a public service, they're always dreaming up stupid schemes, some of which are illegal, to extort money from the local population, money which is never seen or heard of again!.
They are lazy, utterly incompetent, routinely lie ,rude, surly and noticeably chavish in their manner. Useless, appalling, shocking, one runs out of superlatives!.

The Direct Debit for council tax online service has been down for over two weeks. You can't setup a direct debit over the phone without talking to someone but their office look to only be open between 10-2PM weekdays, which is a problem for people like myself who have strict work hours and can't phone during this time. The phone number they provide on their correspondence letters (ends in 9556) also just goes through to an automated system that as far as I can tell after many attempts, doesn't have anyway of allowing you to speak to anyone. You have to phone their generic contact number ending in 0111 and have them transfer you over. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with any council.

When you do eventually get to speak to someone boy do they have an attitude. I've asked around and apparently it's common that the staff are rude and stuck up.

Hot take: VOG only appear to be doing better than other neighboring councils because their population is lower than their neighbors and they have less poor areas that cause problems.
