Wish I could give zero stars

Wish I could give zero stars. Buyer beware. I just got bait and switched from this company. The first picture is what I ordered and the second picture is what I got. The substitute cheap crap like tomato soup for chicken alfredo, Italian risotto and pasta primavera. NOT WHAT I ORDERED! Was told they can substitute at will. What a joke!!!

The items came quickly

The items came quickly. I have not tried any of the food yet. So I can not comment on the taste or quality. My one issue is I had a question and have left multiple messages and even sent a text message. I have not received a call or text back. I hope to hear from them soon. But if I do not then I will probably not order from them again.

Beware - Bucket contaminated with Fungus

Shipment arrived a week late and the box it came in was damaged, also one of buckets was opened. The bucket containing fruits and vegetables had what looked like fungus in it. After requesting an exchange of the bad bucket, customer service only offered the option of me sending the entire order back (on my dime.) After researching online, I found others that warned about trying to get a refund from this company.

VERY SLOW

VERY SLOW, was concerned if I would receive at all or if I was scammed.

My last two orders were $1,000+ each and took 4-6 weeks to receive. There was no mention of any delay shipping on the first order and the second order stated it would ship in 5-10 days. I can't rate the food, I can only rate the misleading advertising, excessive wait and lack of service after order is placed. Multiple phone calls/emails for a status, only one gentleman (Jordan) answering the phone who is clearly overwhelmed, doing his best to cover by promising they'll get to it, only to tell you the same thing the following week, and each week thereafter.

Heads up there is a little game as well offering to add on to your initial order after check out.....purchase additional items for less with free shipping. I don't know why but the small add on order was shipped immediately while the bulk of the order (same items) took over a month to ship. In the meantime, you continue to get bombarded with email offers to buy more items while you wait over a month to receive your initial order.

I really wanted to like this company but found ordering through them to be a gamble.

Valley Food Storage....Hmmmm

This original review was posted on 2/11/21 or 2/12/21 on the companies site, but never published. Here’s the good....ordering is super easy, delivery is fast and I love that there’s no GMO’s, nothing has peanuts (that I could find anyways) and items are not made in a factory that manufactures nut products and if I’m not mistaken they are a family owned business! Now for the questionable.... the sodium content doesn’t look bad at first, but come on, who eats one serving size when it’s a half a cup or even worse, a third?? If, in fact that is the prepared “nutritional facts”, so be mindful if you have HBP. I’ve been buying from 3 other long term storage companies and there is a lot that I like about this company, but I don’t like that I had no idea what was coming in my bucket, but ordered one anyway. I was hoping to get at least one of everything, but instead got two of each item in my bucket. No Chicken A La King, no White Bean & Lime Chili and No Mango Habanera Chili...all items I really wanted to try. Instead I ended up with 4 soups, 2 Mac and cheese, 2 fettuccine Alfredo and 2 chicken teriyaki. That’s ok, but a little disappointed. I needed 5 - 7 buckets of food, so I am soooo glad I used my better judgement and only bought one. If I’m being honest this isn’t the only company that does this, but at least they are more up front about “What you could get”. Some companies only have a small disclaimer that you will miss if you don’t read the fine print. I’m still excited to try some of the items I did get, all but the tomato soup, I’ll wait until I’m starving for that. Overall, if your not picky, then by all means order a bucket, but if you have specific tastes, spend a little extra and order individual packs. I’m not sure I’ll be making any large bucket orders, but I will most likely eventually order the items I want to try. If possible I’ll update on taste after trying and give one more star if good. Happy Prepping Everyone! 2/19 - Update after trying... I made the teriyaki chicken, but I poured it into measuring cups. I measured 1 3/4ths cups of dry goods, If it were truly 5 servings and each serving was half a cup, shouldn’t the dry goods measure 2.5 cups. They have some serious issues with their packaging. I guess I’m not a teriyaki fan because this was really sweet and I couldn’t get a serving down. I will say that it cooked up rather well! Sad because I love so many things about this company, but I also like getting what I pay for. I posted a review over a week ago and while they acknowledged it, they didn’t post it. I didn’t even mention the measuring, because I hadn’t tried it yet, but did say how I was disappointed with the contents. We’ll see if my 3 star review ever gets post, but in the meantime, beware of these companies reviews on their site.
