Do not use

I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S7 and waited 1 month and didn't receive the item. I was told my order had been set to priority after 2 weeks.
Have received a refund nkw however was very disappointed and will not use their site again.

REFUND ME

I demand a refund now having waited beyond the agreed delivery date and still no sign of my order. If I do not receive a refund within the next 24hrs I will be disputing payment with the bank. As a Google Adwords specialist I will be escalating with my Account managers how this site is in breach of their Advertising Policy and will also be taking my case up with trading standards.

Is it a Scam???

Hi I ordered on the site the 10th of May for a quick delivery (3-5 days). I've already ordered on the site for 800€ and today for 1400€! I'm leaving the country the 27.05 and I still didn't receive anything.
I tried many times to contact them on the phone line and it looks to be a fake number (i tried on all international lines as well)
I need an emergency answer on my email asap! Or I want to be refunded quickly

Still waiting for a refund

I ordered a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens for €1692.99 on 26th April, they took the money and now nearly a month later still no lens.
I have made many purchases online with little problems so I was quite relaxed about ordering a product from Valuebasket even though I had no experience of them.
Never again!
I will from now on always check very carefully any online company after this ongoing experience with Valuebasket
I have now asked to cancel my order and get my money back.
Still waiting for my money back.

DO NOT USE!!

I ordered 2 Fit Bits on 09/05/16 and when they had not even been dispatched in the timeframes stated on my order confirmation I started to worry. I then read reviews like this and panicked more.

After lots of very generic responses to my emails they eventually confirmed they did not have a dispatch date and advised me to cancel if I needed the items soon.

I cancelled the order on 17/05/16 and have this morning (24/05/16) received my refund.

I believe I only received the refund as I sent lots of emails to them and the last one asked for it to be escalated to a manager.

Since placing the order their phone line has mysteriously stopped working so the only method of contact is email and due to them being in Hong Kong (which I did not know before placing the email) the timing of getting a reply is not usually quick.

Please use a different company to purchase your electrical items.

Rip off company

I ordered a nikon d5500 on 26th April, they took the money from me on 27th April. It is now 23rd May and still no camera.
I have had enough of Value Basket. They are the most unprofessional online retailer I have ever ordered from.
Delaying tactics , lies, lies, and more lies. The last straw was this morning when they told me that they couldn't give me a dispatch date in case they couldn't meet the deadline and I would be dissapointed ! What a disgrace they are.
I've asked for a refund and I'll also be putting in a claim under Section 75 of the consumer credit act.

Unacceptable service & screening policy

Just cancelled an order for a Samsung S7. Got an email 3 days after ordering saying we need to provide additional proof of address for security reasons and links to other companies saying this is a normal screening process. What rubbish. This is a delaying tactic and at worse a security issue - we are not sending proof of address together with financial details to anyone. I expect we will now face a long refund process. Don't use this company - it might look cheap and there is a reason for that.

Withholding my money 10 days after cancellation of order

On 13th April I cancelled my order 1050945 - 567079 and received a ticket #CVV-174-54354, confirming that you received my cancellation. Until now (10 days later) my cacellation request has not been dealt with BY ANYONE, as evident from your website(I have made printscreens). In the meantime the status of my order has already been changed FOUR TIMES, now to QUEUEING UP.

If you do not transfer the money BACK to my account within the next 3 days, this will already be a BREACH of the Polish law. Also sending me the ordered items now, 10 days after the cancellation, would be a violation of the law. I will not only report your company officially to the Polish Consumer Office, but also inform customers in several languages about your behaviour on the relevant websites. I am NOT A BANK, and you have NO RIGHT to withhold the money after the order has been cancelled.

If you are not planning to announce bankruptcy within the next 3 days, I advice you to transfer the money back to my account before you are given an official BAN on trading in the Polish market.

It's not worth the hassle

Placed my order for a camera on 10th May 2016.

17th May informed (in Spanish) that the camera was out of stock (despite showing in stock every day, quantity varied between 2 and 5).

Declined the offer to choose an alternative product.

23rd May. Informed that my refund was being processed but allow a few days for it to appear. It only took a minute for them to take my money!

So, I'm waiting for my refund. I think it will come but if it doesn't then my credit card provider will have to foot the bill.

In summary, my experience echoes that of many reviews on this site; slow, poor communication, automated emails. I suspect that I was never going to receive my order; I wonder if Value Basket simply used me and my credit card to provide cash flow facilities.

Yes, I received my refund.

Your pathetic response suggesting you might learn from what went wrong and improve carries no weight; it is repeated many times but your service does not improve.

Your attempt to silence my review by suggesting you had no record of my transaction is also pathetic.

I suggest you stop taking orders that you cannot fulfill. Eventually, you will go bust and a lot of unsuspecting buyers are going to be very upset.

Avoid this company or risk losing your money.

Long delay and poor customer service

They still haven't despatched my order after 2 weeks (10 business days) and their replies look generic. I asked them for a refund and will never use them again even if they are considerably cheaper than any other company.

False stock availability information; terrible customer services; hidden costs

When I placed the order online (18 March):
* Website showing 4 items in stock and a shipping estimate of 2-5 days
* No indication items would be shipped from overseas.

c.3 weeks later:
* No confirmation e-mail received for the original order
* Money had been taken for my order
* Website showed the product had not shipped
* No notification provided of the delay or reason for it
* Website still showing items in stock with a shipping estimate of 2-5 days
* Price of item had fallen nearly £30

After many attempts to get through on the customer services telephone number I managed to speak with someone. They said:

* There were delays at their supplier warehouse (but they could give no details)
* They could not provide an estimate for when the item would be shipped
* They thought it reasonable for the website to still be showing items were in stock with a shipping time of 2-5 days
* They would not reduce the cost of my order to align with the lower price now being advertised
* The item was being shipped from the Far East so I would probably have to pay around £100 tax when it arrived

I cancelled the order and got a refund.

What I can do before and after buying at ValueBasket (VB)

To whom it may concern:
BEFORE
If you are interested in any product shown in VB’s site, collect all UPDATED information you can find about VB. Please, think twice before clicking on the payment box.
AFTER
Regarding your money:
Having paid the product and/or feeling cheated by VB you can proceed as follows:
- If you have asked VB for a Paypal payment: you can use the ”Buyer’s Protection” offered by Paypal. It means to open a “Dispute” in your Paypal’s account before 180 days of your payment. After 20 days you can check this dispute as “complaint” and Paypal will be in charge to deal with VB directly on behalf of you. This option is the most effective to get your refund. Please, visit Paypal’s site to further information.
- If you have paid by VISA/MasterCard. With VISA, in most of the western countries you have 80 days after your purchase, to allow VISA to deal with VB directly. For that, you have to contact VISA, either yourself or through your BANK (more effective), after 30 days without receiving the expected VB’s delivery. That means you will have a time frame between the 30th day until the 80th to proceed, starting from the date of your purchase. This was my sucessfully choice and was very easy. It is a fact that it is very difficult VB gets into troubles, but … who knows? … with enough time a little fissure can provoke the Great Wall falls. So, do not give up. You can get your refund and put a seed which it will help unknown future mates feeling as you are feeling now.
Finally, just a little piece of advice: do not allow words written by VB, as “Highest priority”, “Highest urgency”, “Very soon” or similar, mislead you. You will waste your time and … your mood.

Fraudulent, liars, do not meet deadlines.

I ordered a Samsung S7 Edge on the 4th of May. They said that my order would be shipped in 2-5 days and would be delivered in 5-8 working days. After a couple of days I emailed them asking why it still says order processing, I received the reply saying it would be with me within 7-10 working says. On day 10, which was the 14th day of me waiting, there was still no movement so I called customer services. All I heard was that they were dealing with technical difficulties. This obviously pssed me off so I cancelled my order. I would like to add, just 2 days ago it said on the homepage there is a 14 day money back guarantee. Now it is 30 days, I wonder why?? Seems fraudulent doesn't it. I will not take this review down until I have got my £501.99 back. If I do not get it back by the time they said it would be back I will be contacting my bank. AVOID VALUEBASKET.COM.

Astonishingly Bad Service!!

In my opinion, i think this company should be stopped from trading on the internet and I wished I had researched them before placing an order with them.

I Order a Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR Lens from them on the 25-APRIL-2016. I was to go on holiday to the Dominican Republic on the 6th of May and calculated that based on the stated delivery SLAs on their site this item will arrive so I can use it on holiday... How wrong was I? Very wrong. Their site states that dispatch is usually between 2-5 working days and delivery expected to be 5-8 working days.

When after 5 working days I hadn't received any email informing me of delivery, i tried calling them... the phone rang for about 12 mins after which I gave up... I then sent a support ticket through their site to which i received an almost arrogant response about my order being processed and that I should contact them a few days later. At this point I thought oh well, I won't be using this lens on holiday then and just settled with the brand new camera, 35mm prime lens and the 18mm - 140mm lens all of which i got from separate sites on the same day as the item ordered from value basket and all of which arrived on time!!

On the 11th of May, I contacted valu basket support again... and all i got was another apologetic email about lots of orders bla bla... how long can it take to pick 1 item and put it in the post? What was the delay? and even if there was shouldn't you prioritise the fact that I have been in contact with you and post my order?

it is now the 20th of May and still nothing. I have asked them today to cancel my order and issue a refund. After searching the internet and finding that others have the same experience as me and some even have issues with refunds... I have contact barclaycard and disputed the transaction informing them that it looks that this company is a fraud. Barclaycard have agreed to dispute the transaction and in the meantime refunded my money with the aim to get it back from them.

Long story short, I am NEVER ordering anything from this site again!! I think it is unethical to take money from somebody's account and then not deliver on their order. Most shocking is that as of today... they have for the same item i ordered, "6 in stock" on their site. So then what is the problem in delivering???

Stay clear... pay the little bit more and get your item from somewhere else. Not worth using this site.

DANGER! Fraudulent tactics!!!

I am a Polish customer, who ordered a digital camera at the end of March through valuebasket.pl. On the 28th of April I decided to cancel the order, as I had no perspective of further cooperation. I made a phone call to England, and a lady explained that the camera will arrive during the first week of May 2016. [I have a strong feeling my e-mails were interpreted as to keep hold of cash as long as possible]. Since the 3rd of May, when I decided to definately cancel [or Value Basket decided for me - they don't read all the threads!], I have no cash returned. I strongly suspect this, and many other situations resemble FINANCIAL PYRAMID tactics [eg.: mail answering scheme, answering mails before work hours 5-6:00am, phones in GB, USA, Ireland, Poland - do not work]. In light of the above I may be the first brave to seek outside help. I have made a STATEMENT at the local POLICE OFFICE. Questioning took between 1-2 hours. I hope no one else falls for these fraudulent tricks!
MY ADVICE: Buy lowest offers, but at approved and tested retailers (DIXONS, official dealers, etc.). REMEMBER! 10 Times you save, the 11th you might loose all your savings from the first 10 transactions!

How is this possible, that answers by Valuebasket staff expose full names of people who complain!!! Is this their method of humiliating customers that fell for their promises?!

One other thing: I've read some entries about deleting comments on opineo.pl. Later yesterday I browsed through the comments on trustpilot, and tried to recover my trustpilot password on an Internet-unprotected smartphone straight after browsing. Guess what! I couldn't reach my mail! Google works, I log on my mail, but instead of posts, a "Forbidden error 403" appears in strange typography. Weird? I accessed my mail earlier that day, and many times before with no problem, on the same device. Never had this on a smartphone.

Last recommendation: If you pay by Paypal or card, you might get your money back. I payed by card. Thanks to the negative comments I initiated cash refund through the card insurance. Thank you all other customers for feedback, which might help.

UPDATE: 07.06.2016 LYING THIEVES!!!

On the 3rd of June 30 days money back guarantee expired. Did not get my money. STAY CLEAR and FAR AWAY! Requested charge back from my card. They didn't even bother to return 44PLN/about 10EUR for colour upgrade which I payed by transfer!!! FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD, selective money returns. Financial pyramid. Earning money on interest. No help from any authority even POLICE - it's Hong Kong. STAY AWAY!

Dilatory tactics when you try to get your money back

I bought a JBL Extreme bluetooth speaker with a “ValueBasket 12 month guaranty” (how naive…) for £191.98

10 days later and the order hasn't been dispatched. I contact them. They apologise but won’t tell me when they will dispatch. They deliberately avoid committing to any deadlines. That same day I request cancellation of my order.

Getting them to actually cancel my order took another 4 working days (6 calendar days) and several emails. Only after threats to contact my bank they finally cancel my order, but now I have to wait another 7 working days (9 calendar days) to receibe my money.

By the end of this period, I will have been waiting for my money for more than TWO WEEEKS since I cancelled my order.

That is totally unacceptable, so I contacted my bank and informed about my concerns that this was a fraudulent transaction. They told me that they’ve received similar complaints in relation to ValueBasket and that they will investigate the case and dispute the transaction under the visa debit chargeback scheme.

Contacting your bank seems the only way to get your money back within a reasonable period of time and you should do it if you are in a similar situation.

Stay away from ValueBasket, not worth the stress and frustration.

Yesterday, I finally receibe my money from ValueBasket.
I'm relieved, but the painful and frustrating process to get my money back will serve as a remainder to stay away from this company in the future.

My advice:
If you've been waiting too long for your products, cancel now and start the fight to get your money back (get in touch with your consumer association, post reviews online and contact your bank).
If you haven't bought from them, keep it that way, and spend your money with a reputable seller that offers a reliable service and good customer support. The extra money you'll pay will be totally worth it.

Avoid like the plague!

I placed an order on the 20th April for a Samsung Tablet and like many others (i moth later) I have received lots of empty promises but still no sign of a refund or the tablet - I am dealing with the bank for a refund and don't hold out much hope of getting my money back. These guys clearly have a number of standard emails which are designed to appease you in the short term, which lead you to believe that they are working on your behalf to resolve things. This just appears to be a ploy to hold on to your money. Don't be fooled by their professional website this is just a front. I eventually ordered a tablet from a competitor, paid £20 more and got it the next day. Don't get tempted just avoid!!!!

Update 23/05/16 - A month to the day I received a refund, so for all those in a similar position don't give up hope and keep sending your emails insisting on a refund .......good luck

Possible Fraud - Will update when ValueBasket replies

Order placed on 25/04/16 - Redmi note 3 phone - Still has not been sent and I have requested to cancel the order. This is a birthday present (which will be late now) and until I receive the refund I can not afford to get it from elsewhere. Very disappointing.

I would like an immediate refund please.
