NEVER USE THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL BE ROBBED

NEVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. THEY WILL STEAL MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT ON PRE-AUTHORISATION.
We booked a small move van with them which was timing critical. They agreed the time and took pre-authorisation from your card with an agreed rate of £48 for one hour or £56.00 for two hours.. The day of the move they called to cancel or delay until two days later than agreed. We cancelled and booked someone else. A few hours later, they bombarded us with calls, saying they now had someone and we would have to pay them whether or not we used someone else. We were now forced to use them. the van then took 1 hr 15 minutes to do a 20 minute journey so pushing it to the 2-hour price. Because of the problems and long delay the drivers agreed to drop off an item 2 miles away. They have now taken from our card more than three times the agreed price and doubled the price for two hours. DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

BOGUS - Stay away.

Its a shame i cant leave a minus score. This company is beyond nasty
When you get an email from them saying that your card has been authorised but payment not charged 'too' your card, you know youre dealing with a plum

No terms explained. Happily took £50 quid from my account. Now have to wait 72 hours to receive a reply to my dispute and a further 5 days to refund me. (If they will or not thats another thing).

Scam artists at their finest.!!

This company is f* s*

This company is f* s*. I have booked a removal service one the before and the called me saying that is possible no worries at 5 o'clock the driver will be there. I could wait 1 hour half and anyone appeared. Straight away I called and texted to the company anyone... answered. Unprofessional, embarrassing and miserable is my opinion. Don't trust this company.

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY - They took my money for a house removal. The day before the move they still hadn't found a driver but would not let me cancel to look elsewhere without losing the full cost. Even an hour before the move they guaranteed I would have a driver. They called 1/2 hour after they were supposed to arrive and said they could not find one. We were left in house with furniture dismantled and surrounded by boxes with no-one to move us (3 days before Christmas). Absolutely worst service ever. Staff all liars and never returned calls when they said they would. Never ever ever use them!

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIP OFF. THE DRIVER DIDN'T TURN UP SO THEY HAD TO SEND ANOTHER. THEY WERE ON THEIR MOBILE PHONES ALL THE TIME AND WENT OVER THE ALLOTTED TIME SO I WAS CHARGED AN EXTRA £80. WHEN I COMPLAINED THEY WERE UNSYMPATHETIC. AFTER I KEPT ON THEY EVENTUALLY OFFERED ME £25 OFF MY NEXT JOB WITH THEM ! AS IF I WOULD EVER USE THEM EVER AGAIN. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS ! CUSTOMER SERVICES IS BASED IN THE PHILIPPINES SO GOOD LUCK THERE TOO LOL !

I would give no stars if I could

I would give no stars if I could. Company is terrible. Txt the night before removal to say cancelled from 9am till 1pm no explanation given even tho job was booked a month before. When it got to 1 o'clock I messaged company who said the driver was in a accident and they were getting a new driver. Even tho no one had contacted me I had to contact them. New driver booked at 3 didn't show again, again I contacted them response driver can't make it till 9pm now. The way the full thing was dealt with the responses the delays was ridiculous and time wasting. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Infact i think they got so fed up of me contacting they then replied saying they cancelled job and issued a refund and that I could go find a new company. Absolute joke of company. If you want a stress free home move stay away from them and get someone local and self employed .

Be very aware of Van Plus

Like many others who have had the unfortunate experience of using Van Plus I wish I had not used this "service". Surprisingly it took the driver twice as long as I did to get to the destination which meant they had just crept in to the overtime charges. The system that these people use leaves you wide open to abuse by the drivers and the owners. They have your credit card details and take extra money without the driver discussing anything with you before they leave. My driver called to McDonalds on the way to the destination and then charged me extra for going over the allotted time, he even left his used cup at the side of the road before setting off to his next job. Please do yourself a favour and seek an alternative method to move your items.

THIS COMPANY IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE

THIS COMPANY IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE! I arranged for a van to take my 86 year old aunt's bed to her new care home. Later I received a call to say they were having difficulty locating a driver in my area. WHY CONFIRM A BOOKING WITHOUT FIRST CHECKING THE AVAILABILITY OF RESOURCES?! Needless to say, no van turned up.

A horrific experience

A horrific experience. DO NOT USE. driver turned up and was aggressive with my mother and heavily pregnant sister. Driver called Alan from Glasgow. Disputed the amount of furniture to move. Claimed th3 distance was further than it was for the move, got increasingly agitated and swore at my mother then left. DO NOT USE these people.

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company. Do not be fooled by relatively slick look of their website. From our experience, they are consistently late, cancel appointments without reason and overcharge you. Also, make sure you read the small print: you may book them for an hour an a half, but it's an A to B service, so if it only takes half an hour, they will still charge you the full amount. To bring you back to pickup is a new appointment, costing you double. Avoid.

Multiple calls every day

I have no idea how this company has got hold of my phone number. I haven't contacted them directly or applied for any quotes online but they call me multiple times every day despite being told in no uncertain terms to stop.

A scam company

A scam company. Never book the service with them. Totally a scam.

I was checking Van&Man service, I went to the website request for a quote. And few minutes later they called me. I just want to know the price because I haven't decided, but they are kind of pushing to making booking. I double checked twice on the phone if I can cancel the booking free of charge, he said yes, as long as it's one day before the moving date. So I booked it as I thought I can always changed my mind.

The next day I want to cancel the booking, because I found a much better deal. Then they charged me 100% cacellation fee. I dispute twice, and I even asked them to listen to the call I made for the booking as their stuff said differently from the term&condition.

They just refused.

Be aware of this scam company! they really shouldn't exisit!

VERY VERY BAD NOTHING MORE BUT A SCAM. I RESERVED A VAN ON SAT 21/10/17 IN ORDER TO CONTINUE WITH THE RESERVATION I HAD TO LEAVE MY DEBT CARD DETAILS. BY SUNDAY 22/10/17 MY BROTHER CAME TO SEE ME & TO MY SUPPRISE HE HAD A VAN THAT HE HAD HIRED FOR THE WEEKEND & OFFERD TO DO THE MOVING WITH ME USING HIS HIRE VAN. I IMMEDIATLY CANNELED THE RESERVATION I HAD MADE WITH VAN PLUS. ON THE MONDAY I LOGGED ON TO INTERNET BANKING ONLY TO DISSCOVER THAT VAN PLUS HAD ALL READY DEBTED MY ACCOUNT. THIS MATTER IS NOW WITH MY BANK & I WILL QUICKLY TAKE THIS MATTER UP WITH MY SOLICITOR. SO MY ADVICE IS DO NOT TOUCH THIS SOME WHAT CON COMPANY WITH A BARGE POLE YOU ARE BETTER OFF GETTING A HORSE & TRAP. S**t COMPANY.

They will charge you extra costs! AVOID!

Do not use their services. Here are the reasons:

- Paid for a driver and a loader. Only driver came saying his friend didn't make it?! sic. I ended up moving all the boxes at the pick up point on my own. Obviously it took more time than with potential help I ordered..

- I moved the boxes finally to the drop off point. Instead of apology, I was then charged 120 quid extra because I spent more time than planned. It would take less if I were not alone and if you had provided the service I paid for!!

- Complaint system is a joke. Only available via Internet platform - 150 letters used to describe the issue (twitter size). Dispute team allows their drivers to lie in every possible way, as you "don't have a proof" confirming your version. I will seek legal advice as they are scammers

Worst and most unpleasant situation ever happened to me - avoid at any cost!!

I got a quote on online and then was …

I got a quote on online and then was bombarded with phone calls all day. Everytime I picked up they would end up hanging up on me and repeatedly calling at very early hours of the morning despite asking not to call me back as i am no longer interested. Have now seen other reviews stating they took money without delivering the service. Avoid.

Not worth the risk

I'd used VanPlus twice before and the experience was fine. However, wasn't so smooth this time. I'd booked a van and driver and he never showed up, tried to call the number they had given me and it said it was unavailable. There's literally nowhere you can instantly speak to someone at the company, you're only given the option to leave a voicemail which is pretty useless. There's a chat interface but that's even more useless as the person on the other end never replies!

Eventually I resorted to contacting the driver through Facebook as I had been given his name, and he said he knew nothing about the job and hadn't been informed about it despite the site saying he had accepted & confirmed. Luckily, I had obtained contact details from one of the drivers that I had used last time with VanPlus so called him for help and he kindly connected me to a representative of the company who was really apologetic and promised to give me a refund ASAP, which she did so I was happy about that. I almost wish that I had just gone straight to the driver in the first place, but stupidly forgot that I even had his number!

Unfortunately I probably won't be using this service again, it's just not worth the risk as there's little communication between the customer and the driver/company. Moving is a pretty big thing and if a van doesn't show up you don't really have many options. I was lucky enough to be put through to an actual human but this may not be the case for most people. If you're going to run a company, you need to be reliable and VanPlus is just not at that stage yet.

It's a shame because the first driver I had was really great and an asset to the company, so the quality of their recruitment isn't the issue.
