Need an easier grading system

Very outstanding school. The teachers are very helpful and very caring staff.

Great teachers and school faculty.

My children learn a lot from the teachers, and it's easy for them to understand.

The staffs" are awesome and the principal is great.

We love Vanguard Charter Academy! It is a community of teachers and staff that love what they do and put their all in it each and everyday.

I have 3 children that have gone to Vanguard over a span of 10 yrs and I have had a great experience throughout all ten years.

Vanguard Charter Academy has been a blessing for our Kindergarten and 5th grader. All the staff care so much.

I wouldn't send my daughter to any place else! This school is top notch in challenging my daughter to be everything she can be!

They really focus on trying to capture the children's learning attention. They incentives them with in class room rewards to help keep them focused.

They also have good sports programs for students.

We have been at Vanguard for 11years, wow time flies! The teachers are fabulous and truly care about each student and do their best to provide a great learning environment. The ladies in the office truly are remarkable in keeping things in order and helping parents understand what's needed. The Deans and Principal a great at motivating the students with fun incentives. I couldn't imagine a better place for my children to learn and grow. My only complaints are to grading, using points which no one understands and lack of regular work for older students, which doesn't promote great study habits for students future in high school and college.

This school has awesome, caring teachers who are dedicated to teaching our children, and to connecting with our kids as people. My kids have made awesome friends with great families, and they love their teachers and love to go to school. Our oldest graduated from Vanguard a few years ago and was very well prepared for the expectations in high school.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Vanguard, and feel very confident that my child is in good hands. My younger child will start next year at Vanguard and I am very excited to have them both attend!

Academically Vanguard is everything we could hope for, but we have been disappointed in the athletic department this year. I could careless about win/loss records, though it is always nice to win, just with some of the decisions made off the court/field by coaches and directors. For example, basketball, with the allowing of additional students to join the team after the season was already 1/2 over. I understand there were issues of academic eligibility, but that should have been taken into consideration when cuts were originally done during tryouts.

While it hasn't affect my sons playing time, I can't see how it is fair to those kids who have been part of the team from the beginning and though their hard-work and dedication would have earned them the right to step-up and fill-in for their teammates who have lapsed. It would be one thing if this was high school varsity, where drive to win should be important (though not at any cost), but this is junior high B team where the focus should be on not just teaching/improving these kids the fundamentals of the sport(s) but greater lessons. Especially since most will not go on to play the sport once they go on to high school.

Safe environment for my kids. Wonderful staff. Great teachers that get the kids motivated and minds working each day!
