My son purchased 2 pre-paid cards from…

My son purchased 2 pre-paid cards from Walmart in Toronto as Xmas gifts. When I went to use the card, there was a problem activating it. I contacted the Cust.Serv department only to be put on hold for close to 30 mins. Then I was told that I had to provide the receipt, front/back of the card, and picture ID so that the matter can be investigated. It took just over 30 days to get the issue resolved. Now I am going through the same issue with the second card! I'm told that I will receive an email within 24-48 hrs with an explanation of the investigation...of course I didn't receive the email. When I called back in to discuss I was told that a manager is not available right now and to call back in 2-3hrs. No manager/supervisor? Just a bunch of workers not being supervised?
If I could have provided zero stars, that is what I would have selected. This company is the absolute worst, and I recommend NEVER to buy a Vanilla Prepaid card! The date, March 16, 2026 is when the process started for the second card. I'm still waiting for it to be corrected.

I have a Vanilla Mastercard prepaid…

I have a Vanilla Mastercard prepaid card with a balance of a $200. I tried to use the card at fortinos and other stores. The card was declined. I called Mastercard Vanilla and they told me they have to open an investigation and that I have to send them my ID. The card is a gift card, when it was purchased was not linked to a name or an address. Also, my Vanilla MC has the same balance, it's just not working. I do not feel comfortable sending my ID.
This is not the first time I had issues with these prepaid cards. My husband had something similar happening and he needed to make multiple phone calls to get the problem solved.

Bought a vanilla prepaid Visa card SCAM SCAM SCAM STAY AWAY

Bought a vanilla prepaid Visa card and it has been nothing but a nightmare I can't checked my balance their website is always down zero customer service and Amazon doesn't accept Vanilla prepaid Visa card actually no one does it gets declined everywhere and tried to get my balance for hours no errors occur is all get I will never buy anything from vanilla again horrible
Now I was finally able to check the balance on that prepaid Visa and there is tons of fees that are not mine so the frozed the card AND ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE CALLED 6 TIMES AND SAID GO ONLINE
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM VANILLA PREPAID VISA CARD ITS A SCAM

My prepaid card was fraudulently used…

My prepaid card was fraudulently used and I contacted vanilla prepaid in May and followed up numerous times with no response. They finally responded on Aug 4th and advised my claim was denied with no explanation as to why. Proof was provided to them as well. I will never buy their card again, the customer service is terrible.
