Wrong bus capacity, miscommunication between buslib/Vanyplace and their contractor
We rented a bus for 4 days, 3 nights to transport 60 of our friends and family to our wedding. Everything went smoothly during the booking process with buslib: good customer service, prompt answers....
But it all went wrong the day of the pick up:
We confirmed a bus for 60 people and they sent us one for 56 : to fix it, they sent a pickup truck to our destination with 4 additional seats and try to squeeze them in the rows. So people barely had enough space to sit.
We were adviced by buslib to prepay for breakfast, lunch, dinner and hotel for the driver, which we did.
But we received many calls from the bus company buslib hired (Aventura Travel) asking us to provide food, a hotel room for the driver... Clearly a lack of communication between Buslib/Vanyplace and their contractor. We refused to pay as everything was already taking care of. But it's an uncomfortable situation to be placed in.
The driver barely speak any french and no English. So it was very difficult to exchange.
And the toilet in the bus did not work.
So I will for sure pay a little bit more next time, but I would not use a bus brooker like buslib/Vanyplace next time around.
