Site is a scam. Very deliberately set up to look and feel.as though your are taxing your car when in fact it just provides a report.

It's in the small print but they know exactly what they are doing. Should be in jail!

Avoid!!! Total scam

I've been scammed! Put all my card details in and the payment didn't go through after half an hour. Checked if my car was taxed- NO! Went onto DVLA and taxed it. Realised it was completely different from the site I Had been on who now had all my details! Cancelled my card.

As per everyone else that has reviewed. Total Scam. Vulnerable adult conned from £10 and two months "subscription" before it was realised. They don't even pay car tax as Disabled class. Yes, they should have realised, but I have absolutely no idea how this website can get anywhere near the top of a google search for car tax, when it doesn't even provide car tax services!! I've also left a bad review for their hosting providers: 123-reg.co.uk, maybe a few on that may get them to pull the plug on hosting it.

Scammy, dressed up to look like you are taxing your vehicle and it doesn't.

Worst part is you are then not taxed and could be driving illegally.

What a marvellous service, it really cheered my day up. The crazy cats at Vehiclecartax have helped skint January feel even longer.
I thought I was taxing my car but I was actually giving them a tenner to send me details about my car, including that it needed taxing.
Brilliant.
I suppose the positive way to look at it, is they did waiver the notice on the monthly subscription I didn't want, and for the relatively small cost of a tenner, I will be extra vigilante for the rest of the year about scammers and reading stuff properly.

Just been scammed too, " tax your car" all you get is a report for a monthly fee! A report of information you can get for free from DVLA. When I contacted them they point t to small print and will not refund you. Stay well clear!!!

I was renewing car tax for my mum
And thought I was on the government web site but wasn’t
I was on this one as Google had put it to the top of the results
Why is the DVLA not shutting this down
Why are google promoting it
What a crazy world
Only use the government site which will only let you proceed by entering the ref number

A complete con. Do not use these people. Pretend it’s for car tax but it’s not. Stay away!! Should be shut down. Shocking!

Should not be allowed on Google. They give you a false representation that you are booking your car tax then take money from you.
Yes I know its wise to have gone via gov.uk but missed a trick.
Be very aware of this company.
They have no response contact details on the email they send you, which is obviously deliberate so you cannot easily contact them!

I sent an angry and just got back the image of the small print stating that I was basically an idiot to not read it….i sent a nice email and got them to waiver their “30 days policy as a good will gesture” !!! If I get my bike stolen or my house broken into you don’t get left thinking you’re been an idiot.

Scam to make you think you're getting road tax for your car. Google offers it as a top result. Instead make sure you go through DVLA. In the small print it lets you know that it's just a history of previous road tax for that car. DVLA should do something about it really.

Thought I had paid to tax my Sons car but then he got notified from DVLA to say car not taxed. Realised that we had actually paid for a check to be done on the car rather than taxing it and put this down to a mistake. However the next month a payment of £6.99 went out of the bank account spoke to our bank none of us could work out why the money had gone out so we cancelled the card and thought that would be the end of this. Now I’ve found another £6.99 gone from the bank same location but a different name and this has been taken from the new card so this is still ongoing. What a scam and shame on Google for allowing this link to happen.

What a complete scam.
Under the heading Vehiclecartax you appear to be applying to tax your car.
Instead you get a list of the information you already know about your own car.
What utter crooks. And having read on here that people were finding they were paying a subscription, when I wrote to complain about the scam, they refused to refund but sd they were cancelling my subscription! Who on earth would knowingly pay a subscription to be told each month that they still owned their own car! I have been prosecuting serious crime for 40 years and I can assure you there was no sign that you were only getting info about your own car AND were paying a monthly subscription to be told the same each month! They need locking up.

Scam scam scam ... they need stopping ✋️

I was another person tricked into taking this out at the end of August. When I reported it to my credit card company, Stripe were blocked. This month 6.99 has been taken using the name Online App Keynsham. If my card company can't sort it as it needs to be cancelled directly with the company. I've emailed them now, but if they don't respond, I may have to cancel that credit card. Has anyone else done that?

PS I email vehiclecartax.co.uk this morning and told them I felt scammed and that my bank are aware. Surprise, surprise, my contract has been cancelled. A result!

Scam, avoid this car tax scam and go to the Government site.

Thought it was the government tax as it was at the top of the tax your car info. What have I just paid £9.75 for? Really angry. Tried to cancel but can't. 😡😡😡😡😡

Another bloody scam - out of order. UK gov. should have this shut down immediately, totally misleading and it is top of the google search list.
